<p>Great people like Stephen Hawking and Max Brito have been suffering from this crippling phenomenon. Our project is an attempt to make lives of the physically challenged people by our extravagant project. We mean self-reliant, which will thereby reinstate their confidence and their happiness. The idea is to create an Eye Monitored System which allows movement of the patient‟s wheelchair depending on the eye movements. We know that a person suffering from quadriplegia can partially move his eyes and tilt his head, thus presenting an opportunity for detecting those movements. We have created a device where a patient sitting on the Wheel Chair assembly looking directly at the camera, is able to move in a direction just by looking in that direction. The camera signals are monitored by a MATLAB script, which will then guide the motors wired to the AtMega1284P Microcontroller over the Serial Interface to move in a particular direction. The system is cost effective and thus can be used by patients spread over a large economy range. We have implement a Smart mobile application to paramount our project and thereby we justify our project name “The Smart Mobility For Physically Challenged”</p>

AbstractHelicity-multiplexed metasurfaces based on symmetric spin–orbit interactions (SOIs) have practical limits because they cannot provide central-symmetric holographic imaging. Asymmetric SOIs can effectively address such limitations, with several exciting applications in various fields ranging from asymmetric data inscription in communications to dual side displays in smart mobile devices. Low-loss dielectric materials provide an excellent platform for realizing such exotic phenomena efficiently. In this paper, we demonstrate an asymmetric SOI-dependent transmission-type metasurface in the visible domain using hydrogenated amorphous silicon (a-Si:H) nanoresonators. The proposed design approach is equipped with an additional degree of freedom in designing bi-directional helicity-multiplexed metasurfaces by breaking the conventional limit imposed by the symmetric SOI in half employment of metasurfaces for one circular handedness. Two on-axis, distinct wavefronts are produced with high transmission efficiencies, demonstrating the concept of asymmetric wavefront generation in two antiparallel directions. Additionally, the CMOS compatibility of a-Si:H makes it a cost-effective alternative to gallium nitride (GaN) and titanium dioxide (TiO2) for visible light. The cost-effective fabrication and simplicity of the proposed design technique provide an excellent candidate for high-efficiency, multifunctional, and chip-integrated demonstration of various phenomena.

As the usage of the Android smart phones has been considerably increasing, a lot of applications have been developed for the benefits of mobile users. In the past, many applications have been designed aiming to help physically disabled persons. This paper presents an android application which providers several options for controlling the movement of wheelchairs effectively. The proposed application enables People with Disabilities (PWDs) to operate the wheel chair with minimum effort. Apart from voice commands, the proposed application detects and measures the tilt change, and moves the wheelchair based on the degree of the tilt. It also provides a soft joystick as in mobile games to ease the operation of the wheelchairs. Furthermore, sensors that are fixed in the wheelchair can detect and avoid obstacles when the chair is on the move. Hence, it ensures the safety while using the wheelchairs. The proposed application will help both physically challenged persons and elders to operate the wheelchairs more comfortably.

The systems which deals with healthcare are rapidly untouched and a widespread area, where both opportunities & challenges are plenty. The increase of smart mobile phones and advancement in sensors which are used for medical purpose, these devices enhance Wireless Body Area Networks (WBAN). Which is used for patient monitoring remotely called as M-health also called as Mobile-health. It increases the quality and health care by providing a reliable and cost effective. In this system, a protocol called LSAP (Lightweight and Security Aware protocol). LSAP is proposed to assist Device to Device transmission of data for Mobile health systems by means of ORA (Optimal Relay Assignment) algorithm. Linear marking Mechanism was a general idea behind ORAA algorithm. To realize polynomial time complexity at the end of every iteration; are offered by linear marking. To increase the objective function during iteration process, ORA regulate the assignment which is the preliminary assignment. Source node of minimum capacity was identified by ORA at the time of iteration process, which results in designing an efficient system.

Abstract. ICT is one of the technological enablers of a smart city which facilitates the developments in various sectors of the community such as in governance, transportation, education, safety, tourism, and communication. Development of smartphone applications have directly contributed to areas of smart living, smart people, smart governance, and smart mobility as it provides several features catering digital services in the city and flexible utilization of the city services. However, smart city development is not merely the creation of digital services for the citizens but instead involves a two-way communication between the government and citizen’s collaborative processes and digital participation. The purpose of this paper is to provide a framework for a mobile tool wherein people can easily access the most essential everyday city services and in the same manner provide the city authorities to gather relevant information from the application through review of literature and other relevant documents.

Since autistic children suffers from learning disabilities and communication barriers, this research aim to design, develop and evaluate an Android based mobile application (app) providing better learning environment with inclusion of graphical representation in a cost effective manner. This research evaluate various supporting technologies and finds Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) to be better choice for integrating with the app. Evaluation results reveal that the inclusion of PECS helped the children suffering from Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to better communicate with others. The study included autistic children who do not speak, who are unintelligible and who are minimally effective communicators with their present communication system. The evolution results showed encouraging impacts of the Autism App in supporting autistic children to adapt to normal life and improve the standard of their life.
