Australia’s economy is considered to be a highly developed market economy and a reasonably large economy globally. This article seeks to analyse the connection between the business, or financial health, as measured by the Altman Z-Score, and corporate performance, as measured by the Return on Equity (ROE), of listed manufacturing companies in this market (the ASX or Australian Securities Exchange). A linear regression has been performed between these variables to ascertain the extent and direction of their relationships. The trends of Z-Scores over a five-year period have also been examined. The study covers the period from 2013 to 2017 (inclusive) and yields a statistically positive correlation between ROE and the Z-Score for the market. Australia registered moderate-to-strong mean and median Z-Scores. These findings further support the strong economic position of this market as a business giant.

China's 2001 entry into the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the 2016 election of Donald Trump have converged to form an existential threat to the WTO. Can the WTO manage a large economy with China's level of state economic intervention and political authoritarianism? Will the Trump administration's confrontational approach reform or destroy the organization?

Great people like Stephen Hawking and Max Brito have been suffering from this crippling phenomenon. Our project is an attempt to make lives of the physically challenged people by our extravagant project. We mean self-reliant, which will thereby reinstate their confidence and their happiness. The idea is to create an Eye Monitored System which allows movement of the patient‟s wheelchair depending on the eye movements. We know that a person suffering from quadriplegia can partially move his eyes and tilt his head, thus presenting an opportunity for detecting those movements. We have created a device where a patient sitting on the Wheel Chair assembly looking directly at the camera, is able to move in a direction just by looking in that direction. The camera signals are monitored by a MATLAB script, which will then guide the motors wired to the AtMega1284P Microcontroller over the Serial Interface to move in a particular direction. The system is cost effective and thus can be used by patients spread over a large economy range. We have implement a Smart mobile application to paramount our project and thereby we justify our project name “The Smart Mobility For Physically Challenged”

Subject Possible Uzbek membership of the Eurasian Economic Union. Significance Uzbekistan has long distanced itself from Russian-led post-Soviet blocs, but it is now considering whether to join the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU). Its accession would bring another large economy into the EEU, which was originally conceived with Ukraine as a member and has suffered from its absence. The current heavyweight members are Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus; Armenia and Kyrgyzstan have small, weak economies. Impacts EEU membership would give Uzbekistan's economy a major boost with reduced-tariff regimes for its exports. Belarus would welcome the entry of another counterweight to Russian dominance. Western investment in Uzbekistan will be further dwarfed by China and Russia. Russia-China rivalry in Central Asia will be secondary to their common interest in limiting US influence.

Subject Energy improvements. Significance In the first quarter of 2018, the Dominican Republic launched construction of two renewable energy projects as part of its long-term plan to diversify away from over-reliance on heavy fuels. This forms a key part of the Pacto Electrico, which plans to transform the country’s energy sector over the next decade with the aim of improving the Dominican Republic’s investment competitiveness and boost long-term economic growth. Impacts Improved electricity generation could also benefit Haiti, which relies on the Dominican Republic for much of its supply. More reliable supply will boost business growth by improving productivity and investor sentiment. The Dominican Republic’s large economy gives it the opportunity to become a regional leader in renewables.

This chapter deals with Indian ‘innovations for the millions’ (I4M)—new products, processes, and institutional arrangements—that sustainably improve the quality of life of those at the base of the pyramid. Taking ten examples which originated from the private, public, NGO and cooperative sectors, the chapter suggests that these innovations are a response of the ‘elite of calling’ to the Indian paradox – high growth in a large economy, co-existing with a very large number at the base of the pyramid. The chapter argues that a more supportive ecosystem needs to be built to foster I4M, including reforms in regulation and taxation, and attracting bright young people. If that happens Indian I4M can serve billions at the base of the pyramid around the world.
