The optimal design of interior permanent magnet synchronous motors requires a long time because finite element analysis (FEA) is performed repeatedly. To solve this problem, many researchers have used artificial intelligence to construct a prediction model that can replace FEA. However, because the training data are generated by FEA, it takes a very long time to obtain a sufficient amount of data, making it impossible to train a large-scale prediction model. Here, we propose a method for generating a large amount of data from a small number of FEA results using machine learning. An automatic design system with a deep generative model and a convolutional neural network is then constructed. With its sufficient data, the proposed system can handle three topologies and three motor parameters in a wide range of current vector regions. The proposed system was applied to multi-objective optimization design, with the optimization completed in 13-15 seconds.

The early diagnosis of a motor is important. Many researchers have used deep learning to diagnose motor applications. This paper proposes a one-dimensional convolutional neural network for the diagnosis of permanent magnet synchronous motors. The one-dimensional convolutional neural network model is weakly supervised and consists of multiple convolutional feature-extraction modules. Through the analysis of the torque and current signals of the motors, the motors can be diagnosed under a wide range of speeds, variable loads, and eccentricity effects. The advantage of the proposed method is that the feature-extraction modules can extract multiscale features from complex conditions. The number of training parameters was reduced so as to solve the overfitting problem. Furthermore, the class feature map was proposed to automatically determine the frequency component that contributes to the classification using the weak learning method. The experimental results reveal that the proposed model can effectively diagnose three different motor states—healthy state, demagnetization fault state, and bearing fault state. In addition, the model can detect eccentric effects. By combining the current and torque features, the classification accuracy of the proposed model is up to 98.85%, which is higher than that of classical machine-learning methods such as the k-nearest neighbor and support vector machine.

The TV show rating analysis and prediction system can collect and transmit information more quickly and quickly upload the information to the database. The convolutional neural network is a multilayer neural network structure that simulates the operating mechanism of biological vision systems. It is a neural network composed of multiple convolutional layers and downsampling layers sequentially connected. It can obtain useful feature descriptions from original data and is an effective method to extract features from data. At present, convolutional neural networks have become a research hotspot in speech recognition, image recognition and classification, natural language processing, and other fields and have been widely and successfully applied in these fields. Therefore, this paper introduces the convolutional neural network structure to predict the TV program rating data. First, it briefly introduces artificial neural networks and deep learning methods and focuses on the algorithm principles of convolutional neural networks and support vector machines. Then, we improve the convolutional neural network to fit the TV program rating data and finally apply the two prediction models to the TV program rating data prediction. We improve the convolutional neural network TV program rating prediction model and combine the advantages of the convolutional neural network to extract effective features and good classification and prediction capabilities to improve the prediction accuracy. Through simulation comparison, we verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the TV program rating prediction model given in this article.

This paper investigates mechanical vibrations of an interior permanent magnet (IPM) synchronous electrical motor designed for a wide range of speeds by virtue of the modal and rotordynamic theory. Mechanical vibrations of the case study IPM motor components were detected and analyzed via numerical, analytical and experimental investigation. First, a finite element-based model of the stator assembly including windings was set up and validated with experimental and analytical results. Second, the influence of the presence of the motor housing on the natural frequencies of the stator and windings was investigated by virtue of numerical modal analysis. The experimental and numerical modal analyses were further carried out on the IPM rotor configuration. The results show that the natural frequencies of the IPM rotor increase due to the presence of the magnets. Finally, detailed numerical rotordynamic analysis was performed in order to investigate the most critical speeds of the IPM rotor with bearings. Based on the obtained results, the key parameters related to mechanical vibrations response phenomena, which are important when designing electrical motors with interior permanent magnets, are provided. The main findings reported here can be used for experimental and theoretical mechanical vibration analysis of other types of rotating electrical machines.
