Many college campuses in Indonesia are designed so that the academic civitas, especially students, feel at home in their activities. The length of stay of students on campus is one important factor in supporting the success of the learning process. Therefore, the design of the campus outdoor space in accordance with the expectations of its users must be considered to support this. For the case study, research was carried out at the Bandung Institute of Technology and Science (ITSB) in the City of Deltamas, Cikarang, West Java. In the near future ITSB Deltamas will have two new buildings: the Container Building as an additional classroom and the Student Dormitory Building, in addition to the Main Campus Building which is the place for all current academic activities now. However, the campus outdoor space has not been well planned, so the use of the space has not been optimal. Optimizing the use of offcampus space is obtained through research of perceptions and expectations aimed at formulating the needs and desires of the academic civitas of ITSB Deltamas by finding the types of activities and facilities that best suit the needs and desires of its users. The results of this study are the design criteria of the ITSB Deltamas outdoor space which can be a recommendation in the field of outdoor space supply planning as an integral part of future campus planning. It is expected that by creating programs and design criteria that meet the needs and desires of the ITSB Deltamas academic civitas as end users, it will create an outdoor campus space design that is responsive to wants and needs (responsive), has emotional ties (meaningful), and can be used by all users (democratic).

Two large-scale surveys looking at attitudes towards forests, forestry and forest policy in the second half ofthe nineties have been carried out. This work was done on behalf of the Swiss Confederation by the Chair of Forest Policy and Forest Economics of the Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich. Not only did the two studies use very different methods, but the results also varied greatly as far as infrastructure and basic conditions were concerned. One of the main differences between the two studies was the fact that the first dealt only with mountainous areas, whereas the second was carried out on the whole Swiss population. The results of the studies reflect these differences:each produced its own specific findings. Where the same (or similar) questions were asked, the answers highlight not only how the attitudes of those questioned differ, but also views that they hold in common. Both surveys showed positive attitudes towards forests in general, as well as a deep-seated appreciation ofthe forest as a recreational area, and a positive approach to tending. Detailed results of the two surveys will be available in the near future.

Abstract: Higher Education can exercise management autonomy, that is to evaluate using an information system independently. The case study taken in this study is the Kalimantan Institute of Technology (ITK). So far, ITK has used a survey information system to evaluate ITK, but the information system is static so that it is not following the current needs of ITK. Based on that, this research is developing an evaluation information system at ITK so that this information system is expected to be able to monitor and evaluate the process of activities at ITK. The method used is the waterfall model. Based on the waterfall method, the methodology used in this research is start from the identification of the problem, then study the literature and enter the system building stage, namely the analysis, design, implementation and testing stages, as well as conclusions and suggestions. The results obtained are in the form of an information system for evaluating academic activities and services that have been approved by ITK on the http://evaluasi.itk.ac.id page. Keywords: evaluation; information system; ITK Abstrak: Perguruan Tinggi memiliki kemampuan untuk melaksanakan otonomi pengelolaan yaitu dievaluasi secara mandiri menggunakan sistem informasi.

In the summer of 1535 Anglo-German relatios assumed a new dimension. Faced with the prospect of a Catholic alliance on the continent and the possibility of a general council in the near future, Henry VIII was forced to consider more seriously than ever before a defensive alliance with the German Protestants. In August of that year, while Robert Barnes was approaching Wittenberg via Hamburg, commissioned by Henry both to prevent Melanchthon's rumoured visit to France and to make preparations for a full diplomatic mission to the princes of Lutheran Germany, Philip Melanchthon sent copies of the latest edition of his Loci Communes to the king of England, to whom they had been dedicated. The envoy on this mission was the Scottish Augustinian, Alexander Alesius, who was lecturing at the University of Wittenberg at that time. Alesius had received his own university education in St Andrews. Upon his graduation in 1515, he had entered the Augustinian priory there and subsequently proceeded to the study of theology. As a successful student of scholastic theology he had felt himself called to refute Lutheran theology as soon as it began to be debated in Scotland. In February 1528 he was commissioned to bring about the recantation of Patrick Hamilton, but the discussions with this first martyr of the Scottish Reformation as well as the latter's steadfast death at the stake led to a profound questioning of his own convictions. In the following year Alesius emerged as a severe critic ofthe old Church, for which he paid dearly by persecution and imprisonment. After an adventurous escape from St Andrews and months of travelling he finally reached Wittenburg, where he was inscribed in the faculty of arts in October 1532. So far very litde is known about Alesius' activities in Wittenberg. Yet there are two reasons why some elucidation of his academic activities and theological development during his three years at Wittenberg is highly desirable. First, it would be surprising indeed if his first experiences at this university, and especially the direct contact with Luther and Melanchthon, had not left a mark on his thought and career as a reformer. Second, his close friendship with the English reformers and his involvement in the doctrinal debates in England during the late 1530s suggests that Alesius formed an important link between the Reformation in England and in Germany.

This study presents a novel model for evaluating design satisfaction (DS) for primary school construction projects. The proposed model consists of three aspects including Teaching space design, Campus planning and design, and Eco-awareness oriented and 19 DS evaluation items (DSEIs). Eco-awareness oriented was the most important aspect and must be exerted during the design phase of school construction based on the DS evaluation results of 10 schools. Additionally, special attention should be paid to design of natural lighting in classroom (DSEI5), utilization of color in classroom (DSEI7) and construction scheduling and planning (DSEI11) as they are important DSEIs that received low satisfaction scores. The results of this study contribute to the efforts to improve DS and the quality of primary school construction. The framework, methodology, and analytical tools used in the study can be applied to build similar models for other aspects of construction and service performance for school construction projects.

Along with the adjustment of industrial structure, the pattern of the TVE in Taiwan has altered. Ever since the year of 1990 when the government started to promote new establishment of institute of technology and the institution status change, name change and upgrading policy of various types of schools, the number of technological universities and colleges has dramatically increased. However, in terms of a campus that affects essentially and greatly students’ environmental cultivation learning, a technical college should in fact take the conformation of technical and vocational spirit and educational orientation into consideration and shape the school style and applicability of the technical university that possesses vocational education content based on school comprehensive planning and development framework of organic growth and sustainable operation. The purpose of this study is to probe into the course of campus planning development in the early stages of foundation of private university of science and technology in Taiwan. It is hoped that the research be conducted aiming at the development context of school formulation from the standpoint of technical and vocational education’s historical development. This study adopts qualitative observation, documentary research and in-depth interview to try to understand the research topic from multiple aspects through field observation and interactive interview. Lastly, the study applies “comparative analysis approach” for reflecting on the development characteristics and issues of Taiwan’s private vocational school in the light of campus developing process and implementation modality of private technical university before proposing the relevant suggestions at the end of the paper.

In the research, an explanatory case study was carried out which is a kind of qualitative research. By presenting a model implementation, how to create outdoor centers and teachers’ views on the designed model are introduced with the purpose of making a contribution to teachers and preschool education institutions. Within this framework, by receiving opinions of teachers, an outdoor space design was made, and by the end of a 2 month work, 12 centers (art, music, playing house, writing, balance, eye-hand coordination, vegetable, fruit, book, performance, sensory) were created in the garden of research and application kindergarten of a university. After 6 teachers used the design in the 2 month education period, their opinions are received. Teachers expressed the efficiency of center designs in the garden in terms of supporting children’s development and implementing educational programs. Model implementation was described in detail and was discussed with the related body of literature. A design was made regarding how center implementation which will support children development in the best way can be formed using low-cost waste and natural material. The model is thought to raise awareness about putting outdoor space in good use.
