Communication Studies Program, Merdeka Madiun University, Supervisor : Maria Madgalena W., S.Sos, M.Si, Supervisor 2: Zulin Nurchayati, S.Psi, M.Si. Year 2020. The purpose of this study was to determine the cause and effect of communication anxiety between students of the Merdeka Madiun University Class of 2015 with the supervisor when conducting thesis guidance, forms of communication anxiety itself that have been experienced by students of Communication Studies Merdeka Madiun University Class of 2015, anticipatory steps taken by the Communication Sciences Merdeka Madiun University Class of 2015 students, how important is the handling of communication anxiety, data related to communication anxiety among final year students. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. Research data obtained through observation techniques, literature studies, interviews, and documentation. The informants came from the 2015 Communication Merdeka Madiun University alumni students. The results of this study are modeling and skill acquisition factors causing the emergence of communication anxiety, the type of communication anxiety perceived by informants is generalized context communication apprehension and situational communication apprehension, the form of communication anxiety perceived by informants is state anxiety, the most anticipatory step recommended by informants is to better understand the thesis material before the guidance and remain calm during the guidance.Keyword: Anxiety, Communication anxiety, Students of the Communication Studies Program Merdeka Madiun University Class of 2015,Thesis Guidance.

The present study examines the relevance and framing of Corporate Social Responsibility in the mass media. Challenged by the ethically (over)loaded issue of responsibility, communication studies are searching for a new understanding of framing to investigate phenomena of new economic values like Corporate Social Responsibility in public discourses. For the quantitative content analysis put forward herein, frames are described as footprints of diverse positions, which determine a given public discourse. The longitudinal analysis of 26 German-speaking newspapers in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland between 1999 and 2008, a phase where CSR was aligned in business practices and CSR communication established in public discourses, aims at identifying CSR-frames as well as inquiring into the existence of a public discourse about CSR. The results show that there is no discourse on CSR itself. Instead of the assumed multiple issue-specific frames, CSR itself is (ab)used as a masterframe or “buzz word” in economic discourses.

This article addresses the phenomenon of mobile bystanders who use their smartphones to film or take photographs at accident scenes, instead of offering their help to people in need or to assist medical units. This phenomenon has been extensively discussed in Swedish news media in recent years since it has been described as a growing problem for first responders, such as paramedics, police, and firefighters. This article aims to identify theoretical perspectives that are relevant for analyzing mobile media practices and discuss the ethical implications of these perspectives. Our purpose is twofold: we want to develop a theoretical framework for critically approaching mobile media practices, and we want to contribute to discussions concerning well-being in a time marked by mediatization and digitalization. In this pursuit, we combine theory from social psychology about how people behave at traumatic scenes with discussions about witnessing in and through media, as developed in media and communication studies. Both perspectives offer various implications for normative inquiry, and in our discussion, we argue that mobile bystanders must be considered simultaneously as transgressors of social norms and as emphatic witnesses behaving in accordance with the digital media age. The article ends with a discussion regarding the implications for further research.
