The purpose of this case report is to evaluate the role of mini-implants hybrid expanders in the orthodontic treatment of narrow maxilla. A female patient with a skeletal asymmetry and unilateral posterior crossbitepresented for orthodontic treatment. Digital records were sent to the orthodontic laboratory. The orthodontic lab made the mini-implants hybrid expanders and a 3D surgical guide for an accurate insertion of the mini-implants. After two months, a successful expansion of the maxilla was obtained. Orthodontic mini-implants hybrid expanders could eliminate surgical treatemnt in many narrow maxilla cases.

The purpose of this article was to present a case report of 11–year old female patient with a large osteolytic mandibular lesion which healed after endodontic treatment. The patient was referred for radio diagnostics due to an incidental finding of a large osteolytic lesion of the area of the left lower first and second premolars in the panoramic radiograph taken before orthodontic treatment. CBCT was performed and the patient asked to have teeth 33-35 treated by endodontics before surgery. The patient missed the surgical appointment and when she reappeared several months later, the lesion showed signs of healing thus surgery were aborted. The presented case testifies to the observation that even large osteolytic lesions can heal after endodontic treatment without surgical approach.

In the case report showcased, we describe orthodontic treatment of a female patient with an excessive gingival display on smiling and severe dental crowding, with maxillary canines positioned excessively buccal (ectopic) to and in near transposition to the lateral incisors. The treatment involved extractions and initial use of unmitigated forces leading to excessive gingival thinning and buccal root positioning of the ectopic canines. Eventually, the root position was corrected and periodontal equilibrium was attained. On finishing the treatment, all objectives were achieved with a good esthetic outcome as well as excellent dental and occlusal relationships.

Introduction: Keratosis follicularis spinulosa decalvans (KFSD) is a rare, X-linked, hereditary disorder of keratinization, characterized by skin involvement and progressive scarring alopecia of scalp, eyebrows, and eyelashes. The diagnosis is helped by the particular clinical features, but pathology is mandatory. Case Presentation: We described a case of a female patient referred to the outpatient’s hair consultation of our department, in which we performed trichoscopy as a very useful tool for the diagnosis, followed by pathology that confirmed KFSD. Conclusion: In our article, we underlined the importance of trichoscopy for the diagnosis of this hair disease, with also a review of the literature on diagnosis and treatment.

This case report describes the combined surgical, orthodontic and prosthodontic rehabilitation of an adult female patient with a previous history of follicular ameloblastoma, which was treated through partial mandibulectomy and an immediate replacement of missing bone with an autologous calvarial bone graft. Orthodontic treatment was undertaken in order to restore occlusal disturbances and obtain sufficient space for two dental implants and an optimum prosthodontic rehabilitation. Aging of the skin is the result of continuous "wear and tear" processes. This study gives a case report of 35years married female patient with complaints of wrinkles formation in early age. This study was planned to evaluate the Role of Navan Nasya Karma as an anti-wrinkle treatment in ageing process. Navan Nasya was done by instilling drops of Yashtimadhukadi tail in the nostrils for 21 days. The improvement evaluation was done by Wrinkle Severity Rating Scale (WSRS).It was observed that before treatment the score was 4 and improvement was seen until score 2. Further studies may be conducted by taking more samples with more number of sittings.

ABSTRACT Objective: This article describes the orthodontic treatment performed on an adult patient with multiple dental losses. Case report: A female patient, 20 years and 4 months old, presented with the following conditions: absence of teeth #26, #35, #36 and #46; semi-impacted tooth #48; inclined molars adjacent to an edentulous space; canines and premolars in a Class II relationship; a convex profile; biprotrusion; and forced lip sealing. Results: Space in the region of tooth #26 was closed, as well the space of tooth #46; tooth #48 erupted and followed mesial movement passively; space of the region of tooth #35 was maintained for the placement of a dental implant; uprighting of tooth #37 was obtained. Aesthetic and functional goals of the treatment were achieved. Results remained stable 10 years after the end of the treatment. Conclusion: The modified helical loop could be effectively used in orthodontic mechanics to close edentulous spaces. Passive semi-impacted mandibular third molar eruption and mesialization can occur in adults when proper space is provided.

Primary cardiac lymphoma (PCL) represents a very exceptional clinical entity whose treatment is based on chemotherapy. In this case report, the authors highlight the key role of cardiac surgery in the diagnosis of PCL in a 66-year-old female patient. She was given chemotherapy and so far was on remission.Cardiovasc. j. 2018; 11(1): 86-88

Mini screws represent a new treatment modality in orthodontic biomechanics. They provide absolute anchorage, no secondary movements and reduced orthodontic treatment time. Futhermore, the surgical procedure for mini implants placement is quite simple and this type of treatment requires no patient compliance. We selected a clinical case in order to emphasize one of the most important indications of the mini implants: retrusion of the upper incisors for a incresed overjet case in a young patient. Two mini implants were placed in order to obtain the correction of the overjet and the retrusion of the anterior teeth. The retrusion was obtained in a reduced period of time using retraction devices on crimpable hooks.
