scholarly journals Research on Foreign Trade of Guangdong Province Based on the Emergy Ecological Footprint

In order to understand whether Guangdong's foreign trade is coordinated with ecological environment, we use the emergy ecological footprint model to analyze the current status of emergy ecological footprint of Guangdong's foreign trade which is divided into biological resource account, energy account, and industrial products account from the year 2008 to 2018. The results show the trade of biological resources account and energy account are ecological reserve and the trade of industrial products is ecological deficit, which means the trade is coordinated with ecological environment in biological resources account and energy account and is not coordinated with ecological environment in industrial products accounts .We also propose that the coordinated development of Guangdong’s foreign trade and the ecological environment needs to focus on the protection of cropland, grazing land, forest land, fishing ground, the improvement of energy efficiency, increasing investment in high-tech research and development, strengthen the pollution control and other aspects

Zhouqu County is not only an impoverished area but also a poor environment region. Frequent occurrence of geological disasters in Zhouqu, which largely determines the quality of ecological environment, affects the regional sustainable development. In this paper, on a case study of Chengguan Town of Zhouqu, two TM images acquired in pre- (2008)and post-disaster(2010) were selected to conduct the research, using remote sensing and GIS spatial analysis techniques. The state of the ecological environment and sustainable development of the region were evaluated by using the ecological footprint methodology. The results show: Firstly, the biocapacity of built-up area and cropland are reduced by 318.50gha and 82.78gha after debris flow disaster respectively, followed by forest land, grazing ground, fishing ground and barren ground, which has played a serious impediment in economic development; Secondly, the ecological deficit reaches to -0.9245gha/per-cap before disaster, however, it reduces to -1.0691gha/per-cap after disaster. This indicates that Chengguan Town is not sustainable development, after sudden disaster, the situation of unsustainable development becomes more serious; Thirdly, it is found that debris flow and landslides are mainly not only in forest land and cropland, also areas containing many people and buildings, which shows geological disasters has played a significant impact on the socio-economic development. Finally, this article provides scientific references for the restoring of ecological environment as well as scientific disaster relief after the debris flow disaster. Therefore, strengthening management and mitigation techniques of disaster is benefit to humans and socio-economic sustainable development.

Ecological footprint is an innovative concept to present the consumption of natural resources and generation of waste in terms of the Earth biological carrying capacity in a standardized format. The Earth overall sustainability can also be measured with the idea of ecological footprint and bio-capacity. The aim of this paper is to analyse the interactive spatial relationship between economic development and ecological footprints of selected nations. The GIS-based spatial regression tool Ordinary Least Square (OLS) and Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR) are used for fulfilling the purpose. Individual components ofecological footprints - cropland, grazing land, fishing ground, forest land, builtup land and carbon footprints - are also analysed against the per capita GDP of the nations in order to understand the interrelationship between them. The analysis has found a significant relationship between ecological footprint and economic development and the OLS model can explain approximately 64% of the variation in the dependent variable with the explanatory variables. The study has also found that nation’s economic development contributes much inincreasing the carbon footprint. The resulted outcome is significant enough to warrant a study on the spatial dimension of environment and economy in order to analyse the individual nation’s economic growth and its relationship with environmental degradation, which can ultimately influence the global environmental sustainability

This paper uses scientific metrology methods to analyse the current status and the development trend of the research paper output of NWPU (Northwestern Polytechnical University) based on the Incites database from 1981 to 2014. The result shows that the research publications have increased notablely. Whereas, there still has some problems need to be solved, such as low quality and non-widely distributed subject areas. This paper hereby proposes some advice that NWPU should, starting with perfecting the research evaluation mechanism, improve the internationalization level and international influence while encourage the coordinated development of new-rising subjects and interdisciplines.

Firstly, this article uses the Entropy method to calculate the weights of economic development and ecological environment indicators in the eastern urban agglomeration of Qinghai Province from 2005 to 2019. Secondly, this article uses the calculated weights and linear weighting functions to construct evaluation models for economic development and ecological environment development, respectively. The results show that the comprehensive development level of the economic development in the eastern urban agglomeration of Qinghai Province cities is gradually rising, and the comprehensive development level of the ecological environment fluctuates slightly but the overall development trend is increasing. Then, using the Environmental-Economic Coordination degree evaluation model, quantitative analysis and evaluation of the Environmental-Economic system coordination degree, it is found that the coordinated development of the economic and ecological environment of the eastern urban agglomeration in Qinghai Province is relatively well. Finally, it analysis and proposes countermeasures and suggestions to promote the coordinated development of the economic and environmental system of the eastern urban agglomeration in Qinghai Province.

The study presents materials on the status of aquatic biological resources and their habitat in the Dnieper River within the territory of the Russian and the Belarus. In the recent period, there has been hardly any complex fishery research in the upper reach of the river within the boundaries of the Smolensk Region due to the lack of commercial fishing; the same can be applied to the reach of the river within the Vitebsk Region in Belarus. The collection of materials and scientific and research accounting network surveys for monitoring the state of aquatic bioresources were carried out on the Dnieper River as part of the research in 2019 according to a preplanned grid of stations. When fishing for scientific research purposes, 20 net-stops of smooth frame nets were made in the Russian section, and 9 net-stops were made in the Belarusian section. In the Russian section of the Dnieper River, the species composition was 16 species of fish, and in the Belarusian section — 22 species. The main catch in the Russian section is roach 29% and chub 20%, in the Belarusian section bream — from 3 to 46%, roach — from 19 to 63% and gustera — from 1.8 to 33%, in a slightly smaller number of river perch (on average up to 10%). The share value of roach and guster tends to decrease from the upper to the lower areas, bream-on the contrary to increase, the value of perch is approximately equal in all areas. In the size structure of the caught fish species, there is a dynamic with a good reproductive potential.

Taking Xining City as the research area, the index system of coordinated development of urbanization and ecological environment in Xining City is constructed by combining qualitative and quantitative methods. The index and comprehensive index scores are obtained by using analytic hierarchy process and weighted summation method, and the coordination degree between urbanization and ecological environment in Xining City whose evolution trend is evaluated and analyzed is quantified by combining the coordination degree model. The results show that the urbanization level of Xining has been on the rise in the past 10 years from 2008 to 2017, and after the urbanization level of Xining has been improved, the eco-environmental quality index, although which has a characteristics of fluctuation, has been also on the rise as a whole. From the analysis of coordination degree, the coordination degree showed a downward trend year by year from 2008 to 2012, in which the coordination value in 2010, 2011 and 2012 were below 0.4, showing a moderate imbalance state; from 2013 to 2017, the coordination degree showed a rising trend year by year, and showed a relatively stable state.
