In this paper, a whole fractured curve data model management framework is proposed, which defines all kinds of components which integrates many functions, such as fractured curve data parsing, uploading, curve data managing, curve querying and curve playbacking and so on. By means of meta-data, a kind of meta-data data model is constructed which is employed to describe fractured curve formation, makes the architecture model possessing scalability. The architecture model proposed is able to solve complicated fractured curve data management issue, the system has been applied to Daqing field.

Historical place databases can be an invaluable tool for capturing the rich meaning of past places. However, this richness presents obstacles to success: the daunting need to simultaneously represent complex information such as temporal change, uncertainty, relationships, and thorough sourcing has been an obstacle to historical GIS in the past. The Qualified Assertion Model developed in this paper can represent a variety of historical complexities using a single, simple, flexible data model based on a) documenting assertions of the past world rather than claiming to know the exact truth, and b) qualifying the scope, provenance, quality, and syntactics of those assertions. This model was successfully implemented in a production-strength historical gazetteer of religious congregations, demonstrating its effectiveness and some challenges.

Today’s companies are able to automate the enforcement of Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) duties through the use of workflow management technology. This approach requires to specify activities that are combined to workflow models for EH&S enforcement duties. In order to meet given safety regulations these activities are to be completed correctly and within given deadlines. Otherwise, activity failures emerge which may lead to breaches against safety regulations. A novel domain-specific workflow meta data model is proposed. The model enables a system to detect and predict activity failures through the use of data about the company, failure statistics, and activity proxies. Since the detection and prediction methods are based on the evaluation of constraints specified on EH&S regulations, a system approach is proposed that builds on the integration of a Workflow Management System (WMS) with an EH&S Compliance Information System. Main principles of the failure detection and prediction are described. For EH&S managers the system shall provide insights into the current failure situation. This can help to prevent and mitigate critical situations such as safety enforcement measures that are behind their deadlines. As a result a more reliable enforcement of safety regulations can be achieved.

Abstract. Starting from the object-oriented idea, this paper analyses the existing event-based models and the logical relationship between behavioral cognition and events, and discusses the continuity of behavioral cognition on the time axis from the perspective of temporal and spatial cognition. A geospatial data model based on behavioral-event is proposed. The physical structure and logical structure of the model are mainly designed, and the four-dimensional model of “time, space, attribute and event” is constructed on the axis. The organic combination of the four models can well describe the internal mechanism and rules of geographical objects. The expression of data model based on behavior-event not only elaborates the basic information of geospatial objects, but also records the changes of related events caused by the changes of geographic Entities' behavior, and expresses the relationship between spatial and temporal objects before and after the changes of behavior cognition. This paper also designs an effective method to organize spatio-temporal data, so as to realize the effective management and analysis of spatio-temporal data and meet the requirements of storage, processing and mining of large spatio-temporal data.

The article presents an adaptable data model based on multidimensional space. The main difference between a multidimensional data representation and a table representation used in relational Database Management Systems (DBMSs) is that it is possible to add new elements to sets defining the axes of multidimensional space at any time. This changes the data model. The tabular representation of the relational model does not allow you to change the model itself during the operation of an automated system. Three levels of multidimensional data presentation space are considered. There are axis of multidimensional space, the Cartesian product of the sets of axis values and the values of space points. The five axes of multidimensional space defined in the article (entities, attributes, identifiers, time, modifiers) are basic for the design of an adaptable automated system. It is shown that it is possible to use additional axes for greater granularity of the stored data. The multidimensional space structure defined in the article for an adaptable data model is a flexible set for storing a relational domain model. Two types of operations in multidimensional information space are defined. Relations of the relational model are formed dynamically depending on the conditions imposed on the coordinates of the points. Thus, an adaptable data representation model based on multidimensional space can be used to create flexible dynamic automated information systems.
