This chapter discusses the need for a systematic framework to categorise and store the large quantity of complex information required to determine competitive advantage. The length of time necessary to collect all the relevant and complex information creates an additional problem, which can only be alleviated by having an appropriate framework to guide the project. The assessment of information means that the context and accuracy of the information must also be stored. Creating an effective information system needs to be the focus of a special project, and the idea of an information system project will be explored as part of the methodology. The concepts of information architecture and business architecture to assist in the project's design will also be reviewed. Part of the information systems project will be the project planning document which will get more complex as the project develops; therefore, the planning document requirements will also be reviewed.

AbstractThe rapidly increasing size of the ageing population, and in particular older adults living alone, requires the incorporation of eHealth into social and healthcare services, in order to choose the best way to manage their needs and demands for health and medical care. The purpose of this brief scoping study is to describe and identify an important dimension in this context, namely eHealth literacy (eHL) and its relation to health-promoting behaviours among older adults within the capability theoretical framework. The chapter examines some aspects of eHL and recent research highlighting the importance of eHL and the direct correlation between eHL and quality of life for older adults within the capability context. To make this more specific and explicit, this study takes into consideration outstanding circumstances, such as those caused by a pandemic crisis, namely the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Since the COVID-19 pandemic has required urgent action and rapid containment, it offers a unique opportunity to test and evaluate the readiness of healthcare systems and to rapidly develop, scale up and enhance eHealth for the benefit of older people. However, this comes with a price, which is the necessity to quickly and effectively navigate complex information environments and manage behavioural changes and health.

Video communication has played a key role in relaying important and complex information on the COVID-19 pandemic to the general public. The aim of the present study is to compare Norwegian health authorities’ and WHO’s use of video communication during the COVID-19 pandemic to the most viewed COVID-19 videos on YouTube, in order to identify how videos created by health authorities measure up to contemporary video content, both creatively and in reaching video consumers. Through structured search on YouTube we found that Norwegian health authorities have published 26 videos, and the WHO 29 videos on the platform. Press briefings, live videos, news reports, and videos recreated/translated into other languages than English or Norwegian, were not included. A content analysis comparing the 55 videos by the health authorities to the 27 most viewed videos on COVID-19 on YouTube demonstrates poor reach of health authorities’ videos in terms of views and it elucidates a clear creative gap. While the videos created by various YouTube creators communicate using a wide range of creative presentation means (such as professional presenters, contextual backgrounds, advanced graphic animations, and humour), videos created by the health authorities are significantly more homogenous in style often using field experts or public figures, plain backgrounds or PowerPoint style animations. We suggest that further studies into various creative presentation means and their influence on reach, recall, and on different groups of the population, are carried out in the future to evaluate specific factors of this creative gap.

Copper is an endogenous metal ion that has been studied to prepare a new antitumoral agent with less side-effects. Copper is involved as a cofactor in several enzymes, in ROS production, in the promotion of tumor progression, metastasis, and angiogenesis, and has been found at high levels in serum and tissues of several types of human cancers. Under these circumstances, two strategies are commonly followed in the development of novel anticancer Copper-based drugs: the sequestration of free Copper ions and the synthesis of Copper complexes that trigger cell death. The latter strategy has been followed in the last 40 years and many reviews have covered the anticancer properties of a broad spectrum of Copper complexes, showing that the activity of these compounds is often multi factored. In this work, we would like to focus on the anticancer properties of mixed Cu(II) complexes bearing substituted or unsubstituted 1,10-phenanthroline based ligands and different classes of inorganic and organic auxiliary ligands. For each metal complex, information regarding the tested cell lines and the mechanistic studies will be reported and discussed. The exerted action mechanisms were presented according to the auxiliary ligand/s, the metallic centers, and the increasing complexity of the compound structures.

Farmers require diverse and complex information to make agronomical decisions about crop management including intervention tasks. Generally, this information is gathered by farmers traversing their fields or glasshouses which is often a time consuming and potentially expensive process. In recent years, robotic platforms have gained significant traction due to advances in artificial intelligence. However, these platforms are usually tied to one setting (such as arable farmland), or algorithms are designed for a single platform. This creates a significant gap between available technology and farmer requirements. We propose a novel field agnostic monitoring technique that is able to operate on two different robots, in arable farmland or a glasshouse (horticultural setting). Instance segmentation forms the backbone of this approach from which object location and class, object area, and yield information can be obtained. In arable farmland, our segmentation network is able to estimate crop and weed at a species level and in a glasshouse we are able to estimate the sweet pepper and their ripeness. For yield information, we introduce a novel matching criterion that removes the pixel-wise constraints of previous versions. This approach is able to accurately estimate the number of fruit (sweet pepper) in a glasshouse with a normalized absolute error of 4.7% and an R2 of 0.901 with the visual ground truth. When applied to cluttered arable farmland scenes it improves on the prior approach by 50%. Finally, a qualitative analysis shows the validity of this agnostic monitoring algorithm by supplying decision enabling information to the farmer such as the impact of a low level weeding intervention scheme.

Communication networks are complex information systems influenced by a vast amount of factors. It is critically important to forecast the paths that data take to verify the network, check its security and plan its updates. Model allows exploring processes that take place in the network without affecting performance and availability of a real network itself. With modelling it becomes possible to investigate the results of infrastructural changes introduced to the network before actually implementing them. It is important to be able to formally convert real network description into the model definition which preserves all data that is significant for network operation and skip data which is not. Outlining the rules for such conversion and using a limited set of basic functional components provide the ground for automatic model creation for the network of different levels of complexity.Proposed approach to modelling of communication networks is based on decomposition of the overall function of every particular real network component into a set of functions that belong to some predefined basic set. Functions of the basic set include L3 routing, L2 switching, packet filtering, NAT, etc. Model of a real network component is defined as a group of functional nodes each of which implements some function from the basic set.Configuration and current state of network components that influence its operation are also decomposed into elements each of which relates to some particular functional node. Configuration of network components is modelled as a set of configuration storage elements and current state is modelled as a set of current state storage elements.Links that connect real network components and links that connect functional nodes in the model are presented as singledirection channels that implement propagation of L2 frames thus simplifying the model due to excluding physical layer (L1) from the scope.Using the proposed approach to modelling may allow to formalize conversion of a real network descrip- tion to a model thus making automated modelling possible. By using a sufficient basic set of functional nodes it is possible to model the network containing components of any complexity level.

With the rise of technologies such as mobile Internet, 5G networks and artificial intelligence, the development of Internet of Vehicle Information Security (ICVS) has become the mainstream and direction for the future development of the automotive industry. ICVS, people, roads, clouds, and APP constitute a complex network of vehicles. As part of the Internet, vehicle networking will inevitably face various complex information security threats and risks. This paper aims to design a kind of security situation awareness of Internet of vehicles based on intrusion detection protection systems (IDPS). By collecting the security data of car, app and private cloud for big data analysis, the whole smart car security situation awareness system is constructed. The system can be used to analyze potential threats, send out warnings, and carry out emergency responses.

In terms of the actual needs of the emergency management department, at the beginning of the establishment of Shenzhen Emergency Management Bureau, all kinds of information resources have not been connected, and the business of the Department is still supported by the information assets of the original unit of the transferred department. However, there are significant differences in the construction years, construction standards and system architecture of the existing information systems, which lead to the “one number, multiple sources” and multiple management of all kinds of business data, and the systems are basically in the chimney construction pattern of mutual separation. At the same time, the exchange and sharing of internal and external data of the Emergency Management Bureau lacks a unified data standard, and a unified data platform has not been built for centralized management. Therefore, it is difficult for the newly established emergency management bureau to effectively support the business process reengineering, collaborative command, big data intelligent decision-making and other needs. In addition, considering the construction of smart city at the municipal and district levels, as well as the complex information situation such as the information collaboration within the security committee office and emergency committee system, it is urgent to prepare the top-level design of emergency management information, and plan the future development with a higher position, a wider vision and a new idea.
