  With lesser number of entrepreneurs compared to the neighboring country and other developed countries. Indonesia tries to compete with other countries by increasing their number of entrepreneurs. The fact that the government trying to reduce unemployment, the government need to create more ways for the startup in Indonesia to increase. Recent studies by the government research team shows that the open unemployment rate in Indonesia is actually increasing among the University and Diploma graduates. Universitas Ciputra is one of the entrepreneur-based university in Indonesia that is trying to solve this problem. One way to increase the number of entrepreneurs in Indonesia is by understanding the entrepreneurial intention. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of self-efficacy and the big five personality traits towards entrepreneurial intention on International Business Management Students – International Class in Universitas Ciputra as a sample of this study. The data collected in this study is using a quantitative method by distributing a questionnaire to the samples, on a standard measurement using a 5- point Likert scale, and processed using IBM SPSS Statistics 20 program. In this study, it has been found that among 6 variables presented: self- efficacy, conscientiousness, openness to experience, extroversion, agreeableness, and neuroticism. Only two variables significantly influence entrepreneurial intention, which is self-efficacy and conscientiousness of the individuals. The results of this study are expected to help broaden the horizon of Entrepreneur-based universities in selecting the new enrolled batch. This study attempts to investigate the influence of the Big Five personality traits and self-efficacy (SE) on entrepreneurial intentions. It also aims to find out whether the influence of a set of personality traits and SE on entrepreneurial intention differs across gender. The target population of this study was students enrolled in Bachelor of Technology (BTech). The results offer support for the relation of openness, neuroticism, conscientiousness and agreeableness, and SE with entrepreneurial intention—except on the relation of extraversion and entrepreneurial intention. Based on the findings, the study argues that the relationship between entrepreneurial intention and Big Five personality traits is moderated, at least partially, by gender.

Purpose The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of the Big Five personality traits on the entrepreneurial intentions of undergrad university students in Jordan. It further investigates the mediating role of entrepreneurial alertness. Design/methodology/approach A quantitative survey method was conducted with a convenience sample of Jordanian university students. A total of 323 valid questionnaires were received and analyzed. A structural equation modeling with partial least square (PLS) is used to analyze data. Findings Results revealed that conscientiousness, openness and alertness were associated with entrepreneurial intention. Extraversion and openness were associated with alertness, while agreeableness and neuroticism were unrelated to either outcome. Finally, alertness mediates the relationship between extraversion and openness with entrepreneurial intention. Originality/value There is a lack of previous studies investigating the relationship between the Big Five personality traits and students’ entrepreneurial intentions in Jordan, particularly the role of mediating variables in this relationship. This study is considered the first one that examined the mediating role of entrepreneurial alertness in the relationship between personality traits and entrepreneurial intentions.

The purpose of this paper is to identify the influence of Big Five personality traits of extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, emotional stability and openness to experience on entrepreneurial intention of engineering undergraduates. Entrepreneurship for engineers is not new to the world. Recent changes in the world and engineering present both challenges and opportunities to engineering education. Engineering education is changing to meet these challenges. A study was conducted with the sample of 202 final year undergraduates in engineering faculties in Sri Lanka. Exploratory Factor Analysis, Multiple Regression and Structural Equation Modeling were applied to analyze the relationships of these variables.  The results demonstrate that entrepreneurial personality traits which relate significantly to entrepreneurial intention of undergraduates are characterized by high emotional stability and openness to experience. The findings are discussed and interpreted to provide important implications to practitioners and academics.

Abstract. The aim of the study was to evaluate the relation between the Big Five personality traits and generalized self-efficacy. Data for the meta-analysis were collected from 53 studies, which included 60 independent samples, 188 effect sizes, and 28,704 participants. Lower neuroticism and higher extraversion, openness to experience, agreeableness, and conscientiousness were associated with greater generalized self-efficacy. Personality traits and generalized self-efficacy measurements, as well as age, moderated the relationship between the Big Five personality traits and generalized self-efficacy. The study extends current knowledge on the associations between personality traits and generalized self-efficacy.

Background Specific personality traits may affect the ability of nurses to deal with patient death. The relationship between personality and death coping self-efficacy (DCS) has rarely been investigated in the palliative care setting. In this study, we explored the associations between different personality profiles and DCS in clinical nurses from general wards and ICU. Methods A cross-sectional survey of 572 Chinese nurses was conducted between August and September 2020, by way of a self-administered questionnaire. Results Among the Big Five Personality Traits, in nurses the score was highest for conscientiousness and lowest for neuroticism. With regard to DCS, nurses scored highly on the intention of hospice care. The Big Five Personality Traits were found to explain 20.2% of the overall variation in DCS. Openness, agreeableness and conscientiousness were significantly associated with DCS in nurses. Conclusions Nursing managers should pay attention to differences in personality characteristics and provide personalized and targeted nursing education. This should improve nurses’ DCS, enrich their professional development and promote high quality palliative care for patients and their families.
