Two new genera, i.e. Kolevia gen. nov. and Microstygia gen. nov., in addition to the five subterranean species were described here as new for science: Kolevia bulgarica n. gen. n. sp., Microstygia deltchevi n. gen. n. sp., Bythiospeum iltchoi n. sp., Belgrandiella lomica n. sp., and Belgrandiella delevae n. sp. The type species of the new genera are designated, holotypes of the new species are depicted, and a map with the sampling sites is provided.

Two new genera and four new species of the mite family Neopygmephoridae (Acari: Pygmephoroidea) are described from the alpine zone (1600–1900 m a.s.l.) of the Central Otago region of the South Island of New Zealand: Protobakerdania Khaustov and Minor gen. nov. with the type species Pygmephorus togatus Willmann, 1942, Neobakerdania Khaustov and Minor gen. nov. with the type species Neobakerdania pilosa Khaustov and Minor sp. nov., and the species Protobakerdania diseta Khaustov and Minor sp. nov., Troxodania minuta Khaustov and Minor sp. nov., and Bakerdania alpina Khaustov and Minor sp. nov. Eight species are moved to Protobakerdania Khaustov and Minor gen. nov. from Bakerdania Sasa, 1961: P. aperta (Rack and Kaliszewski, 1985) comb. nov., P. arvorum (Jacot, 1936) comb. nov., P. arvorum nodulosa (Mahunka, 1969b) comb. nov., P. baloghi (Mahunka, 1969b) comb. nov., P. crenata (Mahunka, 1969b) comb. nov., P. pristinus (Mahunka, 1968) comb. nov., P. randae (Sevastianov and Zahida Al Douri, 1989) comb. nov., and P. togatus (Willmann, 1942) comb. nov.

The genus Brueelia Kéler, 1936a forms the core of the so-called “Brueelia-complex”, one of the largest and most heterogeneous groups of lice (Phthiraptera). Here we introduce the taxonomic history and present a revision of this group. The limits of the Brueelia-complex are discussed. We resurrect the genera Acronirmus Eichler, 1953, Corvonirmus Eichler, 1944, Guimaraesiella Eichler, 1949, Maculinirmus Złotorzycka, 1964a, Meropsiella Conci, 1941a, Olivinirmus Złotorzycka, 1964a, Osculonirmus Mey, 1982a, Rostrinirmus Złotorzycka, 1964a, Traihoriella Ansari, 1947, and Turdinirmus Eichler, 1951. We place 23 names in synonymy, and we consider 6 species as incertae sedis, 2 names as nomina nuda, and transfer 14 species names to genera not belonging to the Brueelia-complex.        We redescribe and illustrate most of the type species of the genera or subgenera included in this revision. Keys to genera, subgenera, and species groups are given, together with updated louse-host and host-louse checklists for 426 species of lice currently placed in the Brueelia-complex, including 183 new host-louse records.

Two new genera are named: Pedistylis Wiens with the type species P. galpinii (Schinz ex Sprague) Wiens and Vanwykia Wiens with the type species V. remota (Bak. Sprague) Wiens. Three new species and one new subspecies are described:  Plicosepalus amplexicaulis Wiens,  Tapinanthus crassifolius Wiens,  Viscum oreophilum Wiens, and  V. capense L.f. subsp. hoolei Wiens. Thoracican cirripedes from the Cretaceous (Albian– Maastrichtian) of Europe (UK, France, Germany) and North Africa (Morocco, Tunisia) are described taxonomicallyand significantly aug - ment the diversity previously known from these regions. The new taxa include: a new zeugmatole - padid, Subsecolepas gen. nov. (type species: S. holtwilsoni sp. nov.), three new cretiscalpellid genera, Witherscalpellum gen. nov., Jagtscalpellum gen. nov. and Striascalpellum gen. nov., including the new species J. africanum, J. spinosum, S. bromleyi , S. barringtonensis and S. elegans and a new scalpellid of the genus Regioscalpellum , R. kennedyi. In addition, the Virgiscalpellinae subfam. nov. includes two new genera, Collinslepas and Virgilepas, with the new species C. aitlaminensis, C. robustus , C. tunisiensis, V. aboudaensis, V. peakei and V. hancocki. Paedomorphic evolution in the sub-family led to forms with reduced numbers of capitular plates. Five new species of Virgiscalpellum are also erected: V. mhrilensis sp. nov., V. multilineatum sp. nov., V. truncatum sp. nov., V. laevis sp. nov. and V. sussexiense sp. nov., as well as a new Proverruca, P. anglica. The Eoverrucidae fam. nov. is erected for the genus Eoverruca, for which two new species, E. aubensis (middle Albian, France) and E. symmetrica (upper Campanian, UK) are described. The record from the Albian takes the origin of the verrucomorph cirripedes back 25 million years. Furthermore, two new species of Brachylepas, B. thieli and B. hantonensis, extend the range of the genus down into the Cenomanian, and a new genus of brachylepadid, Fallaxlepas, is erected, with the type species Pollicipes fallax Darwin , 1851. The stratigraphical distribution of Cretaceous cirripede genera is tabulated and demonstrates a remarkable increase in diversity through the Albian to mid-Campanian, above which there is a minor decrease. The Cretaceous– Paleogene (K/Pg) boundary saw the extinction of 15 cirripede genera.

The genera Deltaspis Audinet-Serville, 1834 and Muscidora, Thomson, 1864 (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae: Cerambycinae: Trachyderini) are revised. Two new genera Neoxoplus gen. nov. and Deltaspiopsis gen. nov., are described. Two species previously included in Deltaspis [D. cruentus, (LeConte, 1862), and D. ivae Beierl & Barchet-Beierl, 1999] are transferred to the new genus Neoxoplus with N. cruentus designated as the type species. Four other Deltaspis species [D. alutacea Bates, 1885, D. marginella Bates, 1891, D. nigripennis Bates, 1880, and D. tumacacorii (Knull, 1944)] are transferred to Muscidora Thomson, 1864. Two species [D. disparilis Bates, 1891, and D. variabilis Bates, 1891] are transferred to the new genus Deltaspiopsis with D. disparilis designated as type species, and the remaining species [D. moesta Bates, 1885, D. rubens Bates, 1885, and D. subopaca Chemsak & Linsley, 1982] are transferred to Crossidius LeConte, 1851. Keys to closely related genera, above mentioned genera and species along with illustrations of the available species in color are included. New species described include: Muscidora bezarki sp. nov. from south-central Mexico (Puebla, Oaxaca); Muscidora coriacea sp. nov. from southeastern Mexico (Oaxaca and Chiapas); Muscidora nigrescens clinei subsp. nov. (Jalisco); and Muscidora similis sp. nov. from western Mexico (Sinaloa and Sonora).

The article provides a revision of the subfamily Hypoptinae, characterized by a common feature – a deeply split bifurcated uncus. Abstract Two new genera of the leafhopper tribe Erythroneurini, Hamata gen. nov. and Levigata gen. nov., are established based on type species from Yunnan, China: Hamata coralliformis sp. nov. and Levigata arborea sp. nov., respectively. Two additional new species, Gladkara bifida sp. nov. from Yunnan and Thapaia tibetensis sp. nov. from Tibet, are described and illustrated and amended descriptions of their respective genera are provided. A new synonymy is suggested: Elbelus tripunctatus Mahmood, 1967 = Elbelus melianus Kuoh, 1992, syn. nov. Eleven species of nine erythroneurine genera are newly recorded from China: Arboridia (Arboridia) kakogawana (Matsumura, 1932), A. (A.) suputinkaensis (Vilbaste, 1968), Balanda kara Dworakowska, 1979, Dorycnia vietnamica Dworakowska, 1979, Gambialoa (Gambialoa) borealis Dworakowska, 1981, Gladkara albida Dworakowska, 1995, Seriana dentata Sohi & Mann, 1992, S. malaica Dworakowska, 1978, Tautoneura mukla Dworakowska, 1981, Yakuza sumatrana Dworakowska, 2002, and Ziczacella lyrifora (Dlabola, 1968). Additional faunistic data and illustrations are provided for the following species from China: Arboridia (Arboridia) agrillacea (Anufriev, 1969), A. (A.) lunula Song & Li, 2013, A. Two new genera and three new species of the leafhopper tribe Deltocephalini are described from Thailand, viz., Loeia Duan gen. n. with L. tamtipi Duan sp. n. as type species, Phetchabunia Duan gen. n. with P. janteabi Duan sp. n. as type species, and Maiestas subsirii Duan sp. n.. Five new country records for Thailand are also given, viz. Deltocephalus vulgaris Dash & Viraktamath, Maiestas dinghuensis Zhang & Duan, Maiestas scripta (Distant), Paramesodes sp., and Polyamia acicularis Dai, Xing & Li.

This paper describes three distinctive, closely related, new genera and four species of Homalotini (Aleocharinae: Staphylinidae) characterized by extremely long slender, curved mandibles, very long slender and whip-like setae variously placed on the labrum, clypeus, or mentum; and similarities in the mouthparts, aedeagi and spermathecae. These new taxa are Eumecognathus new genus, type species E. tasmaniensis new species (type locality: SW Tasmania, Lower Gordon River); Siagotanyx new genus, type species S. rufa new species (type locality: Tasmania, Lake St. Claire National Park) and Drepanomastax new genus, type species D. splendida new species (type locality: Australian National Territory, Mt. Resuming published and own data, a revision of classification of Chaetognatha is presented. The family Sagittidae Claus & Grobben, 1905 is given a rank of subclass, Sagittiones, characterised, in particular, by the presence of two pairs of sac-like gelatinous structures or two pairs of fins. Besides the order Aphragmophora Tokioka, 1965, it contains the new order Biphragmosagittiformes ord. nov., which is a unique group of Chaetognatha with an unusual combination of morphological characters: the transverse muscles present in both the trunk and the tail sections of the body; the seminal vesicles simple, without internal complex compartments; the presence of two pairs of lateral fins. The only family assigned to the new order, Biphragmosagittidae fam. nov., contains two genera. Diagnoses of the two new genera, Biphragmosagitta gen. nov. (type species B. tarasovi sp. nov. and B. angusticephala sp. nov.) and Biphragmofastigata gen. nov. (type species B. fastigata sp. nov.), detailed descriptions and pictures of the three new species are presented.
