Tourism spending as well as innovations are characterized by great economic value, which emphasizes the need for their research from a macroeconomic perspective. The objective of the research was to assess the significance of the relations between infrastructure innovations and tourism spending in a sample of developed countries. The analytical processes included macroeconomic indicators expressing tourism spending and innovations. The research sample consisted of 36 countries of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) (2010–2019). The analytical processes were primarily performed using robust panel regression and cluster analysis. One of the most important findings is that innovations in information and communication technologies (ICTs) were dominant in terms of the effects on tourism visitors' spending. The results showed that innovations in other areas of infrastructure (general infrastructure, ecological sustainability) should not be neglected either. The significant effects of selected innovation indicators showed positive trajectories. As a result, with the strengthening of innovation activities, an increase in tourism spending is expected, which may lead to economic development. It can be assumed that innovation efforts in countries such as Mexico, the Slovak Republic and Turkey could have great potential for improvement. Based on the results, innovations should be considered a part of tourism development strategies, while ICTs play an important role in this issue. It is desirable to support effective tools to increase the number of innovations in tourism. These innovation efforts at the national level may translate into higher tourism spending, which appears to be economically beneficial.

The article compares the processes of dissemination of modern information and communication technologies in government bodies in Russia and abroad. It is stated that Russia began the transition to «electronic government» later than the developed countries, in which this process was launched within the framework of large-scale and comprehensive programs for reforming public administration in the 1980s and 1990s. However, to date, there is an alignment in the pace and content of digitalization tasks. At a new stage in this process, the concept of «electronic government» under the influence of such newest phenomena of the emerging information society as methods of analysis of «big data», «artificial intelligence», «Internet of things», «blockchain» is being transformed into the category of «digital government». Achievements and prospects of public administration digitalization are considered on the example of countries with the highest ratings — Denmark, Australia, Republic of Korea, Great Britain, USA and Russia.

At present, intensification of innovation activity is recognized as the priority direction in the operation of agrarian enterprises. It is determined that this, first of all, requires the formation of a qualitatively new system of marketing provision for innovative development of agricultural producers, introduction of modern information and communication technologies, and the use of digital marketing instruments. Therefore, the research is aimed at substantiating and developing proposals to improve the effectiveness of innovative development of agrarian enterprises with the use of marketing instrumentarium. To achieve the aim, research methods such as analysis and synthesis, comparison, generalization, statistical analysis, structural and logical method, systematization are applied. The indicators of innovative development of food production enterprises are analyzed in accordance with KVED-2010. The key factors that determine the feasibility of using marketing instrumentarium in the innovative development of agrarian enterprises are identified. The main advantages of using information and communication technologies as an important marketing instrument in the innovative activities of agrarian enterprises are defined. Global trends in the development of the digitalization process in agriculture are examined. The peculiarities of digital channels for the promotion of agrarian products are considered, which include content marketing (SEO, SERM, SMM, PR content, e-mail marketing, ORM); digital advertising (contextual, targeted, media advertising); multichannel promotion; web-analythics. The directions of intensification of innovation activities of agrarian enterprises with the use of marketing instruments are defined, which are conventionally systematized by eight groups: operational response; budget optimization; remote mode and taking care of the team; assistance to agrarian business through the growth of corporate social responsibility and implementation of social initiatives; marketing strategy adjustments; transformation of communication mix and portfolio of innovative products; e-com enhancement, focus on trade marketing.

This qualitative study was carried out in two public schools located in the city of São Paulo, SP, Brazil, and involved two primary school science teachers (one from each school). Its objective was to discuss the relevance of continuing education of Science teachers with the emphasis on the use of ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) in their teaching practice, the challenges faced by the insertion of these technological resources in the school environment, and improvements in school facilities. These aspects guide the need for training that prepares the teacher to deal with this type of situation. Data collection was done through the application of two interviews, at different moments of the research. These results were presented at an international event, Enseñanza de las Ciencias 2017, and we were able to observe the difference of realities between the science education in developed countries and noted the relevance of discussing this topic in the context of science teaching in Brazil.   Keywords: Teaching practice; Challenges in Science Education; Information and Communication Technologies.

Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) hold great potential for promoting socioeconomic development in many developing countries. ICT has not significantly percolated down the economic value chain in these countries for various reasons. The example of Singapore is used to show how governments can make a difference in entrenching a vibrant ICT sector through appropriate policies, programs, and other intervention instruments. It is suggested that aspects of the Singapore experience would be useful for other developing countries.

For e-commerce to be a viable tool for trade in developing countries (DC), a “secure infrastructure” which makes possible the electronic exchange of financial transactions is a necessary prerequisite. There has been significant research on e-commerce security, although most of these studies have focused on developed countries. Less attention has been paid to underdeveloped countries that face different circumstances due to the above challenges. From technological perspectives, this work discusses important issues of e-commerce security for developing countries in regards to lack of fraud repression and justice in those countries.

Academic science, research and technology companies are currently working intensively on the possibilities of using cutting-edge information and communication technologies in practice. An example of the much-needed deployment of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) is energy. This sector of the national economy requires the monitoring of large line and area objects at regular intervals in order to analyse the state of wear and damage of energy equipment. The Slovak Republic, as a modern European country, is working very intensively on the implementation of all available modern technologies in the energy sector. The text of the chapter aims to present and describe the current state of practical use of drones in the energy infrastructure in Slovakia.

Progress in the field of information and communication technologies has created unprecedented opportunities to deliver services in both developing and developed countries. E-services sector is one of the fastest growing areas of the economy. Supply of electronic services contributes to creating value by reducing the number of barriers to entry. Also a growing use of the Internet and related opportunities in the area of public e-services can be observed. This paper focuses on the use of Geographic Information Systems in the implementation of e-government services on the example of Częstochowa. The paper presents technical and functional assumptions and experience with implementation of the project "E-services for residents of Czestochowa".

Computer literacy affects all areas of human life, and our subsequent control is almost inevitable nowadays. Due to the rapid growth of scientific knowledge and development of information and communication technologies, significant changes are taking place in individual countries. New technologies are coming to the fore through which there is an increase in country's economy, employment as well as labor productivity. To some extent, this fact is influenced by the ability of basic computer skills. This aspect is also important in terms of regional development at the national, regional and local level. The aim of the paper is to characterize selected indicator of computer literacy - internet work at three levels of Slovakia (state, district and municipality). The paper will be based by data from the Statistical Office of the European Union and Statistical Office of the Slovak republic. The methods of analysis, synthesis as well as graphical and cartographic methods will be the main methods used in the paper. Based on the achieved results, it can be stated that Slovakia achieved an average of 51.4 % in the development of internet use. It is very just above the EU average. At the regional level, the highest rate of internet use is manifested in the western part of Slovakia. At the local level in the case of the Nitra district, the internet was mostly used in the hinterland of the city of Nitra.
