To improve the efficiency and effect of mechanical English learning, the advantages of computer-assisted learning is analyzed, and the teaching model based on Multimedia network is proposed. By means of comparing the results of the experimental teaching model, conclusions are drawn that the experimental type (ET) can stimulate students’ motivation much more than the control type (CP) can do. To elaborate the theoretical foundations of both task-based language teaching (TBLT) and computer assisted language learning (CALL) for mechanical engineering students, it shows the necessity and feasibility of TBLT based on Multimedia- Network for mechanical English. A teaching model for mechanical English is constructed which includes an experimental research in its application in teaching mechanical engineering students. The result of the experiment proves that the task-based teaching model based on multimedia network changes the students’ passive attitude in traditional teaching process and makes them more active in the class. In this case students’ interest and creativity are stimulated and their autonomous learning ability can be trained.

The modern system of foreign language teaching impacts a qualitative change in the new methodological approaches with using innovative technologies in the educational process. Spencer Kagan created Cooperative learning structures that make collaborative learning easy to use. It provides students with valuable and ample opportunities to combine language resources and collaboratively build knowledge and writing through interaction. Cooperative learning methods do not require a detailed study of plans, educational materials, and special training. Hence the article depicts University students' implementation of collaborative academic writing skills in a Computer-assisted Language Learning environment. Collaborative writing is interpreted as an action in which students communicate, consult, and make collective decisions during the writing process through computer and create a unique text with shared accountability and co-ownership. In this paper, the crucial types of academic writings are highlighted, and experimental teaching results have proved Kagan's collaborative model as a useful technique for improving students' academic writing skills.

The study of vocabulary is essential in learning a second language. The traditional way of foreign language learning only allows students to learn what the teacher chooses to teach. Knowledge is force-fed by the teacher to the students, but this way cannot meet the needs of the students and society. The development of multimedia technology meets the demands for new ways of teaching language. The purpose of this study is to test whether it is effective to use computer-assisted instruction (CAI) in individualized learning and whether multimedia CAI techniques can improve vocabulary learning and memory. According to analysis of the experimental data, CAI-supported vocabulary learning is more effective than traditional methods. The results show that, through CAI, knowledge can be learned faster and retained longer in the students’ memory.

The main point of this article is to demonstrate that the existence of the computer-medium within L21 learning and acquisition is justified by its potential of differentiation. In order to make the optimum use of this potential, it is necessary to design syllabi based on L2 research and theories of language learning acquisition. Taking as a starting point the learner’s interlanguage development, I am introducing a model of L2 learning and acquisition, a model based on input as well as on output. The strong point in having this model is that you can use it for computer-assisted language learning, and in this way you can contribute to the implementation of differentiated syllabi that take into account the psycholinguistic processes that characterize interlanguage development.

The integration of multimedia technology and foreign language teaching has gradually become a contemporary key research topic under the trend of the integration of modern information technology and education. As an emerging method, multimedia-assisted learning method can not only create a more realistic language learning environment but also make contributions in stimulating students’ willingness to learn and improving educational effects. However, sometimes it is used improperly, this method can easily lead to the teaching form being larger than the content, and the teaching effect may not be satisfactory. This article focuses on the characteristics of the professional English teaching model based on wireless network communication and multimedia, discusses the practical application of wireless network communication and multimedia technology in professional English teaching, and conducts a simple research on the professional English teaching model. Taking the professional English teaching model and the traditional multimedia teaching model of English as the research objects, two natural students are selected as the research objects, and they are divided into the experimental group and the control group. Statistical software is used to analyze the data in detail. The test results of the experimental class and the control class were analyzed before and after the experiment. The experimental results show that the professional English teaching model based on wireless network and multimedia has a significant teaching effect compared with the traditional English teaching model. Comparing the experimental group and the control group, English scores improved by 11%. The gap between the two groups is very obvious. As far as the scores of each part of the English test paper are concerned, the scores of each part of the experimental group are also higher than those of the control group. The professional English teaching model based on wireless network communication and multimedia turns out to be effective and popular among students.

21st century education (PA-21) aims to create integration between Malaysia’s multi races, ethnicities and building respect toward cultural, religion and racial differences. English language mastery among students in executing the 21st century education is very important so that they can communicate and collaborate with others. Despite that, English language usage among students is hard to reach its target due to psychological and attitude barrier. Through this research, it is hope to identify the challenges in English language usage among Diploma of Mechanical Engineering students and two factors were identified which are psycholinguistics and sociolinguistics. Psycholinguistic focuses on the study of attitude, personality and motivation towards the taught language while sociolinguistic focuses on the student’s family background towards their language learning and mastery. Questionnaire and observation are the methods used in gaining information from 72 students’ respondents. Research data is analysed descriptively using SPSS. The end results shows that both psycholinguistics and sociolinguistics factor is related to each other where mostly challenges comes from applied linguistics factor. Advices are given to the respective lecturers in facing the English language usage challenges and in order to raise their learning motivation so that they can stand to survive the 21st century education (PA-21) challenges.

Language is the most important communication tool of human beings, and listening is one of the basic skills of language expression. Without good listening comprehension ability, it is impossible to use language flexibly to communicate. Due to the influence of traditional education mode, Chinese students' English listening is generally poor. Therefore, a new English listening teaching mode is needed to help students improve their English listening. In this paper, multimedia network technology is used to realize the integrated English listening teaching of listening, speaking and dictation skills, and a multimedia network English listening teaching model based on speech recognition confidence learning algorithm is proposed. In order to improve the effectiveness of the mainstream confidence method based on Lattice posterior probability, this paper proposes an improved confidence algorithm based on Lattice posterior probability, and then converts the obtained confidence score into discriminant confidence score by Support Vector Machine(SVM) to further enhance the discriminant ability of confidence. Aiming at the imbalance of training data, a score correction strategy is proposed. The experiment shows that the English listening teaching model realized by using multimedia network technology can effectively enhance the students interest in learning and improve their listening ability. And the improvement of the mainstream confidence method based on Lattice posteriori probability can effectively improve the recognition ability of the algorithm and further improve the students’ English listening learning effect.
