Cloud computing technology has revolutionized the field of networks and the way of utilizing the resources remotely. In the gaming field this has changed the way of playing traditional games in relation to online on-demand available games which reduces the hassle at the clients' end. In order to play a game online, the game content is processed at the server end and rendered images are transmitted to the client's end. This makes the way of accessing easier and the game can be played even without the hardware or software required for the game. We review the cloud gaming architecture and the different types of streaming used by various cloud gaming platforms. Also, the issues and challenges with the service provider technologies used in the cloud gaming are discussed briefly.

The basic concept of cloud computing is based on “Pay per Use”. The user can use the remote resources on demand for computing on payment basis. The on-demand resources of the user are provided according to a Service Level Agreement (SLA). In real time, the tasks are associated with a time constraint for which they are called deadline based tasks. The huge number of deadline based task coming to a cloud datacenter should be scheduled. The scheduling of this task with an efficient algorithm provides better resource utilization without violating SLA. In this chapter, we discussed the backfilling algorithm and its different types. Moreover, the backfilling algorithm was proposed for scheduling tasks in parallel. Whenever the application environment is changed the performance of the backfilling algorithm is changed. The chapter aims implementation of different types of backfilling algorithms. Finally, the reader can be able to get some idea about the different backfilling scheduling algorithms that are used for scheduling deadline based task in cloud computing environment at the end.

Cloud Computing has changed the strategy of the way of providing different services to business and government agent as well as to sole users. Cloud Computing provides scalable and on demand services to users irrespective of their physical area. But this computing technology has many challenges. One of them is on demand resource allocation. In this paper a resource allocation method is proposed based on Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) called Multicriteria Preference Synthesis (MPS) method. MPS method combines many AHP synthesis methods (Additive Normalization, EigenVector, Multicriteria Synthesis etc.) to assign the priorities to the users' tasks. In MPS method Error Criteria is used to provide the consistency in providing the priorities to users' tasks if any violation is there.

Cloud computing is the most utilized and evolving technology in the past few years and has taken computing to a whole new level such that even common man is receiving the benefits. The end user in cloud computing always prefers a cloud service provider which is efficient, reliable and best quality of service at the lowest possible price. A cloud based gaming system relieves the player from the burden of possessing high end processing and graphic units. The storage of games hosted in clouds using the latest technologies in cloud has been discussed in detail. The Quality of service of games hosted in cloud is the main focus of this chapter and we have proposed a mathematical model for the same. The various factors in dealing with the quality of service on cloud based games have been analyzed in detail. The quality of experience of cloud based games and its relation with quality of service has been derived. This chapter focuses on the various storage techniques, quality of experience factors and correlates the same with QoS in cloud based games.

Cloud computing is a model for enabling convenient, on-demand network access to a shared pool of configurable computing resources that can be rapidly provisioned and released with minimal management effort or service provider interaction. Cloud computing allows new ideas, business concepts, and prototype systems to rapidly move to market, which represents a competitive advantage. Some cloud computing models and technologies are compared in this paper.

The idea of cloud computing aligns with new dimension emerging in service-oriented infrastructure where service provider does not own physical infrastructure but instead outsources to dedicated infrastructure providers. Cloud computing has now become a new computing paradigm as it can provide scalable IT infrastructure, QoS-assured services, and customizable computing environment. However, it still remains a challenging task to provide QoS assured services to serve customers with minimized cost, while also to guarantee the maximization of the business objectives (e.g. margin profit) to service provider and infrastructure provider within certain constraints. In order to address these issues, this chapter proposes a QoS-oriented service computing methodology, and discusses associated topics including service level agreement and associated reference architecture, green service, service metering and metrics, service monitoring, and on-demand resource provisioning. In the case study, we demonstrate how we employ QoS-oriented service computing in a multi-server, multi-user on-line game to facilitate the on-demand resource provisioning to maintain quality of service and quality of experience.

Cloud gaming-as-a-service is emerging as one of the potential revenue generating futuristic fields with a higher growth rate. Cloud gaming service is an entertainment service that depends totally on the cloud computing technology. Cloud gaming delivers games to the gamers, anywhere at any time without any gaming specific hardware and without diminishing the gamer's quality of experience. From getting the user command to rendering the graphics, everything is processed at the gaming service provider end. The only need for the gamer is to use a thin client like web browser to access the cloud game server. In this chapter, we have detailed about the cloud game systems, cloud game services, issues in cloud gaming, economics of cloud gaming, research prospects and the evolution of cloud gaming service.

The traditional architecture of e-commerce data management needs to adapt to the new and more complex environment, which needs to provide massive data management, compatibility of different types of data, and better user experience. Cloud computing technology is a synthesis of parallel, distributed, and grid computing and is one of the future directions of information technology development. In this paper, we use cloud computing data management technology to study the data management of e-commerce. It is hoped that the current e-commerce data management can be improved with the help of cloud computing technology. This paper starts from analyzing the current e-commerce representatives Taobao.com and Jingdong Mall to find out the data characteristics of these two enterprises, analyze the existing data problems, and find the aspects that can be improved. Using this open-source cloud computing implementation solution, we solve the storage problem of large files and unstructured small files in the e-commerce system.

One of the most technological trends that enables on demand sharing of resources through Internet is Cloud Computing. It is a collection of hardware, software, storage, and services which are efficiently utilized to enhance business agility through reducing communication and computing costs. Although there are many advantages of cloud computing, organizations concern of the negative outcomes that may result when employing this technology. In this paper the author aims to find some factors to be considered by the organization before employing cloud computing technology. To achieve this goal the author used DeLone and McLean successes model that provides a comprehensive framework for measuring IS success. The model will enable the organization to spot the weakness and strength for each factor and in turn to make suitable decision toward a successful implementation of Cloud Computing.
