The cloud computing field is an emerging field and continuously growing at a fast pace. The data stored on the public cloud is not safe as the attackers can hack or gain unauthorized access to the data and can modify its contents to harm the organizations and the users as well. They pose security threats and risks at various levels. These threats need to be removed and security actions need to be taken at right time to protect the cloud data and resources from being misused by the attackers. Some of the security measures are summarized in order to protect the data.

Load balancing makes cloud computing greater knowledgeable and could increase client pleasure. At reward cloud computing is among the all most systems which offer garage of expertise in very lowers charge and available all the time over the net. However, it has extra vital hassle like security, load administration and fault tolerance. Load balancing inside the cloud computing surroundings has a large impact at the presentation. The set of regulations relates the sport idea to the load balancing manner to amplify the abilties in the public cloud environment. This textual content pronounces an extended load balance mannequin for the majority cloud concentrated on the cloud segregating proposal with a swap mechanism to select specific strategies for great occasions.

Cloud Computing is an increasingly important worldwide development in business service provision. The business benefits of Cloud Computing usage include reduced IT overhead costs, greater flexibility of services, reduced TCO (Total Cost of Ownership), on-demand services, and improved productivity. As a result, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) are increasingly adopting Cloud Computing technology because of these perceived benefits. The most economical deployment model in Cloud Computing is called the Public Cloud, which is especially suitable for SMEs because it provides almost immediate access to hardware resources and reduces their need to purchase an array of advanced hardware and software applications. The changes experienced in Cloud Computing adoption over the past decade are unprecedented and have raised important issues with regard to privacy, security, trust, and reliability. This chapter presents a conceptual model for Cloud Computing adoption by SMEs in Australia.

Security is a critical issue particularly in public cloud as it rests with the cloud providers. During security implementation, prevailing security threats and regulatory standards are borne in mind. Regulatory compliance varies from one cloud provider to another according to their maturity and location of the data center. Thus, subscribers need to verify the security requirement meeting their objective and the one implemented by the public cloud provider. To this end, subscribers need to visit each cloud provider's site to view the compliance. This is a time-consuming activity at the same time difficult to locate on a website. This work presents the prominent security standards suggested by the leading security institutions including NIST, CSA, ENISA, ISO, etc., that are applicable to the public cloud. A centrally-driven scheme is proposed in order to empower the subscriber to know the regulation and standards applicable according to their services need. The availability of an exhaustive list at one place will lower the users hassle at subscription time.

As we approach the limits of Moore’s law the Cloud computing landscape is becoming ever more heterogeneous in order to extract more performance from available resources. Meanwhile, the container-based cloud is of growing importance as a lightweight way to deploy applications. A unified heterogeneous systems framework for use with container-based applications in the heterogeneous cloud is required. We present a bytecode-based framework and it’s implementation called Man O’ War, which allows for the creation of novel, portable LLVM bitcode-based containers for use in the heterogeneous cloud. Containers in Man O’ War enabled systems can be efficiently specialized for the available hardware within the Cloud and expand the frontiers for optimization in heterogeneous cloud environments. We demonstrate that a framework utilizing portable bytecode-based containers eases optimizations such as heterogeneous scaling which have the potential to improve resource utilization and significantly lower costs for users of the public cloud.

Recent security incidents on public cloud data storage had raised concerns on cloud data security. Development in the hacking area has risen in the past few years. Due to this, Cyber Security is needed which plays an important role to cover the secret information. Currently, the attack of challenging channel is both the symmetric as well as the asymmetric encryption algorithm. Since, in both criteria the secret key has to be transmitting through a security challenging channel. For this many techniques have been put forward. The Main focus is on the vulnerabilities of the private keys while hoarded in different places for the fast utilization of the round key of the AES algorithm. In the view of the hackers, extracting the private key is nearly as same as obtaining the plain text itself. So, the honey encryption technique is used to futile the attacker by producing the fake key for each and every try of the Key puncher. An indication will be generated automatically to the storage manager when an attempt is made by the attacker. The Honey encryption is the best algorithm to overcome the drawbacks of the AES algorithm but it has some time constraints which are also eliminated here. Thus, eliminating the Brute Force Attack and providing a secure system for storing the secret key.

Cloud Computing is a robust, less cost, and an effective platform for providing services. Nowadays, it is applied in various services such as consumer business or Information Technology (IT) carried over the Internet. This cloud computing has some risks of security because, the services which are required for its effective compilation is outsources often by the third party providers. This makes the cloud computing more hard to maintain and monitor the security and privacy of data and also its support. This sudden change in the process of storing data towards the cloud computing technology improved the concerns about different issues in security and also the various threats present in this cloud storage. In the concept of security in cloud storage, various threats and challenges are noted by recent researchers. Hence, an effective framework of providing security is required. The main aim of this paper is to analyze various issues in securing the cloud data threats present in the cloud storage and to propose a novel methodology to secure it. This paper also identifies the most crucial components that can be incorporated in the already existing security measures while designing the storage systems based on cloud. This study also provides us to identify all the available solutions for the challenges of security and privacy in cloud storage.

The purpose of this chapter is to identify and analyze the challenges of creating new software in the public cloud due to legal regulations. Specifically, this chapter explores how the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) will indirectly affect the development and implementation process of cloud computing applications in terms of software engineering and actual legality of said software solutions. The goal of this chapter is twofold - to bring attention to the need for specific analysis of legal issues in public clouds (as opposed to general analysis), and to illustrate the need for cloud developers to address legal constraint while creating their platforms, in order to increase their viability in the corporate environment.

Cloud computing has leaped ahead as one of the biggest technological advances of the present time. In cloud, users can upload or retrieve their desired data from anywhere in the world at anytime, making this the most important and primary function in cloud computing technology. While this technology reduces the geographical barriers and improves the scalability in the way we compute, keeping data in a Cloud Data Center (CDC) faces numerous challenges from unauthorized users and hackers within the system. Creating proper Service Level Agreements (SLA) and providing high-end storage security is the biggest barrier being developed for better Quality of Service (QoS) and implementation of a safer cloud computing environment for the Cloud Service Users (CSU) as well as for the Cloud Service Providers (CSP). Therefore, cloud applications need to have increased QoS and effective security measures and policies set in place to provide better services and to decline unauthorized access. The purpose of this chapter is to examine the cloud computing technology behind innovative business approaches and establishing SLA in cloud computing applications. This chapter provides a clear understanding of different cloud computing security challenges, risks, attacks, and solutions that exist in the present heterogeneous cloud computing environment. Storage security, different cloud infrastructures, the many advantages, and limitations are also discussed.
