Generic model management (gMMt) is a novel view on classical and modern metadata management problems. The present article surveys the goals, components, pros and cons of gMMt, and major problems cited in the literature. It argues that some methodology developed in abstract mathematics can be extremely helpful for the field and is capable of providing it with a convenient notation, semantic foundations and truly generic specification patterns. The two other articles, titled Mathematics of Generic Specifications for Model Management, I (further referred to as Math-I , see p. 351), and Mathematics of Generic Specifications for Model Management, II (further referred to as Math-II, see p. 359), give some evidence to these claims by demonstrating how the machinery works in a series of examples.

This article (further referred to as Math-II), and the previous one (further referred to as Math-I, see p. 351), form a mathematical companion to Generic Model Management (further referred to as GenMMt, see p. 258). While Math-I is dealing with homogeneous MMt, the goal of Math-II is to develop machinery for heterogenous MMt, where models are not assumed to be similar.

The coronavirus pandemic this year has become one of the main topics on the world agenda and is now being analyzed from different angles — biological, medical, economic, political, social, historical. But another aspect to take into account is administrative, since this virus has infected not only individuals but also society, government and business systems. The pandemic is very complex, large-scale and multidimensional and, as is well known, it is hard to control the increasing difficulty and uncertainty, especially when the time factor is involved. There is a principle in methodology: if a problem identified at a certain level of the system’s complexity is not solved by means of the same level, then you need to rise to a higher level. In other words, it is necessary to rise to the metalevel, and this is where the problems of public administration and management are identified, and they are two-sided. The first one is practical — what to do and how to manage the unfolding processes to minimize damage to people, economy and society, what strategy to develop for recovery from this pandemic and how to implement it. This is a focus of everyone’s attention now, but it is too early to fully assess the effectiveness of various current measures and strategies, especially given the new wave of the pandemic. The second side — theoretical — how his problem can be viewed conceptually through the prism of changing the paradigm of the society existence and the paradigm of management. The present article deals with some fundamental aspects of the latter aspect of the problem.

The unanimous opinion among religious philosophers is that the Vedas and bhakti are two different denominators of approach to God in Indian tradition. However, the Tamil Vaiṣṇava mystics, the Āḻvārs find a harmonious blend of the two modes in ritual worship. The present article examines the pros and cons of the problem from a study of the hymns beginning with the Mutal (Early) Āḻvārs and last in the train, Tirumaṅkai. The cited hymns are replete with the bounties of nature associated with the divyadeśa-Kōvalūr that we examine for a case study. Bhakti or the Veda is the euphony linked with nature. The present article explains how the Āḻvārs had harmonized the Veda with bhakti. These are complementary modes of approach to God. They are not conflicting phenomena. By the way, data bearing on flora and fauna dumped in the twenty-one hymns on Kōvalūr are presented in a capsule (Attachment).

The experience of participating in the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), in several different capacities, has acquainted me with the many management problems that faced the Organization in its first dozen years. The present article deals with some of these problems under four headings of unequal importance: UNESCO's functions, 2) the organization of its secretariat, 3) the relations of the Director-General with the legislative organs, and 4) personnel administration.

Starting in 1990-s, the Project Lead the Way (PLTW) program became one of the most known and favorable interdisciplinary STEM platforms in K-12 education in the United States. Moving away from the traditional classroom, PLTW focuses on the integration of several subjects into one. It includes various hands-on-activities that, according to PLTW mission, help to develop deeper practical hands-on skills in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). In nowadays, PLTW is a nationally recognized curriculum, which offers many opportunities for teachers, as well as students, developing engineering skills and preparing the youth for college and upcoming STEM-oriented carriers. However, despite of its popularity, various factors (such as the cost of PLTW equipment, supplies, and software, as well as support of school administration) might signif-icantly influence quality of PLTW teaching.

The actuality of present article is occasioned by changes in scientific knowledge. New branches of knowledge, forming at the junction of sciences make changes in syllabus, investigators search new approaches in teaching. This article is devoted to the development of cognitive interest at pupils of non-humanitarian profile in polydisciplinary education. Special accent is made on getting knowledge and skills on the subjects of science and mathematics using a foreign language. Polydisciplinary spreads and deeps science and mathematical knowledge and improves the linguistic education. Being a part of polydisciplinary teaching, project and research work help to get knowledge on the problem of investigation from different subject categories. Preparing a project or a research work in a polydisciplinary education makes thinking active, develops different types of thinking, cognitive interest.

The present article aims to present some partial results of the master dissertation titled "Geometry in Brazilian Curricular Materials by the Ontossemiotic Approach", under development in the Professional Master Program of Science and Mathematics Teaching of the Cruzeiro do Sul University in São Paulo. As presuppositions a research perspective that aims to qualitatively analyze curricular materials of the 5th year of elementary school in the scope of geometry. For the analysis in question, frameworks were developed based on didactic adaptations (epistemic, mediational and ecological) from the assumptions of the Ontosemiotic Approach. In this way, the article will discuss the abovementioned didactic adequacy frameworks in order to offer subsidies so that teachers can be guided when analyzing curricular materials.
