This chapter introduces the concepts of external data and syndicate data. It contributes with a conceptual discussion regarding different categories of syndicate data, as well as definitions and applications thereof. In addition, the chapter also gives a view ahead for syndicate data, with respect to organizational, as well as technological challenges and trends. Thereby, it increases the understanding for syndicate data as a vital component in business intelligence initiatives and explains why external data in general and syndicate data in particular has become prerequisites in modern information systems. Furthermore, the author hopes that the categorization and view ahead will not only contribute to researchers through the conceptual discussion and the definitions of concepts, but also to practitioners spending resources on data originating from outside the own organization, by increasing the understanding of the concepts and the actors within the industry.

The purpose – The purpose of the article was an attempt to assess the significance of two spheres connected with the functioning of DMOs, i.e. internet marketing and the development of modern technologies and information systems. Design – The study covers theoretical issues connected with the essence of destination management organizations as the basic organizational structures in the tourism sector, and with the significance of the Internet and modern information technologies in the activities of these organizations. The second part of the study covers the empirical issues of the problem analyzed. Approach and methodology – Apart from theoretical deliberations, it provides the review of previous research. Moreover, the results of the author’s research were used with the aid of the diagnostic survey technique. The results from 53 DMOs that represent 19 European states were obtained. Findings – The quantity of expenditures on information technologies was defined in the structure of the total expenditures on the part of DMOs. The average value for all the organizations under analysis was 10.9%. Owing to the application of the point grading method (Likert scale), it was demonstrated that internet marketing and the development of modern technologies and information systems are becoming increasingly more important areas of the activities. Originality of the research – The originality is evident in the insights it provides about use of modern information technologies and the Internet in the activities of DMO. The empirical deliberations presented in this article should become an important point of reference for many DMOs and should emphasize the growing significance of information technologies.

Subject. The article addresses a simulation in the structured query language (SQL) for the Bloomberg information base, the scientifically grounded tools for measuring emotions in markets in the face of financial and pandemic crisis and market imbalances, in addition to classic financial indicators, the creation of analytical tools based on state-of-the-art software tools that integrate the latest advances in behavioral finance and in financial and coefficient analysis, machine learning technologies, and open financial market data. Objectives. The aim is to create a usable toolkit for balanced evaluation of financial and economic situation of companies, based on the analysis of the main Russian and foreign modern means to measure emotions. Methods. The study employs methods of induction, deduction, and modeling. It demonstrates the link between methods and methodologies with new technical means of modern information systems. Results. The paper studies the effect of the heuristics of insufficient reaction and heuristics of excessive self-confidence, using the examples of market drawdown. I developed and implemented a model, using the behavioral finance tools as a factor in stabilizing financial decisions. Conclusions. New software and hardware tools enabled to identify and measure the actions of the heuristics of financial market participants. Financial analysts, when applying the new capabilities of modern information systems for programming and creating user models with required parameters and extensive database, will have new opportunities in the described models. The procedure for collecting and processing the original information required for valuation is simplified.

As organizations' desire for data grows, so does their search for data sources that are both usable and reliable.Businesses can obtain and collect big data in a variety of locations, both inside and outside their own walls. This study aims to investigate the various data sources for business intelligence. For business intelligence, there are three types of data: internal data, external data, and personal data. Internal data is mostly kept indatabases, which serve as the backbone of an enterprise information system and are known as transactionalsystems or operational systems. This information, however, is not always sufficient. If the company wants toanswer market and industry questions or better understand future customers, the analytics team may need to look beyond the company's own data sources. Organizations must have access to a variety of data sources in order to answer the key questions that guide their initiatives. Internal sources, external public sources, andcollaboration with a big data expert could all be beneficial. Companies who are able to extract relevant datafrom their mountain of data acquire new perspectives on their business, allowing them to become morecompetitive

Most of urban water infrastructure around the world were built several decades ago and nowadays they are deteriorated. So, the assets that constitute these infrastructures need to be rehabilitated. Since most of the assets are buried, water utilities face the challenge of deciding how, where and when to rehabilitate. Condition assessment is a vital component on plan rehabilitation actions and is mostly based on the data collected from the managed networks. This collected data need to be put together in order to be transformed into useful information. Nonetheless, the large amount of assets and data involved makes data and information management a challenging task for water utilities, especially in those with as lower digital maturity level. This paper highlights the importance of data and information systems' management for urban water infrastructure condition assessment based on the authors' experience.

For having retrospection for all over the data which are used, analyzed, evaluated and for a future incident predictions are used Management Information Systems and Business Intelligence. In case of not to be able to apply standard methods of data processing there can be with benefit applied an Artificial Intelligence. In this article will be referred to proofed abilities of Neural Networks. The Neural Networks is supported by many software products related to provide effective solution of manager issues. Those products are given as primary support for manager issues solving. We were tried to find reciprocally between products using Neural Networks and between Management Information Systems for finding a real possibility of applying Neural Networks as a direct part of Management Information Systems (MIS). In the article are presented possibilities to apply Neural Networks on different types of tasks in MIS.

AbstractIn professional sports clubs, the growing number of individual IT-systems increases the need for central information systems. Various solutions from different suppliers lead to a fragmented situation in sports. Therefore, a standardized and independent general concept for a club information systems (CIS) is necessary. Due to the different areas involved, an interdisciplinary approach is required, which can be provided by sports informatics. The purpose of this paper is the development of a general and sports informatics driven concept for a CIS, using methods and models of existing areas, especially business intelligence (BI). Software engineering provides general methods and models. Business intelligence addresses similar problems in industry. Therefore, existing best practice models are examined and adapted for sport. From sports science, especially training systems and information systems in sports are considered. Practical relevance is illustrated by an example of Liverpool FC. Based on these areas, the requirements for a CIS are derived, and an architectural concept with its different components is designed and explained. To better understand the practical challenges, a participatory observation was conducted during years of working in sports clubs. This paper provides a new sports informatics approach to the general design and architecture of a CIS using best practice models from BI. It illustrates the complexity of this interdisciplinary topic and the relevance of a sports informatics approach. This paper is meant as a conceptional starting point and shows the need for further work in this field.
