This study examines which risk factors contribute most to perceived risk in Vietnam's mobile banking environment; explores the relationships among perceived risk, perceived value and intention to use mobile banking in Vietnam's mobile banking environment; and investigates any mediating role perceived value may have in the relationship between perceived risk and intention to use mobile banking in Vietnam's mobile banking environment. A convenience sample of 403 respondents who were customers of one of the largest joint stock commercial banks in Vietnam was used. The results of this study indicated that perceived risk is negatively related to intention to use mobile banking; that perceived value is positively associated with intention to use mobile banking; that perceived risk is negatively related to perceived value; and that perceived value plays a partial mediating role in the relationship between perceived risk and intention to use mobile banking.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the mediating role of brand, commitment, and perceived risk on the relationship of mobile banking (MB) service quality and marketing performance (satisfaction and loyalty). A survey was conducted using a sample of 617 MB customers in Indonesia, i.e., Mobile BCA (BCA), BNI mobile (BNI), and Go mobile (CIMB Niaga). Structural equation modeling analysis was carried out with Warp PLS. The results show that MB service quality positively affects brand, commitment, satisfaction, and loyalty, while perceived risk has no effect. Another finding showed a relationship between brand image, commitment, and perceived risk on customer satisfaction and loyalty, although brand prestige does not affect loyalty. Thus, the partial mediating roles of brand image, commitment, and perceived risk are confirmed in the study. The findings will help academic researchers and bank practitioners understand MB customer attitude and behavior and help them in formulating strategies to manage the use of MB in Indonesia.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to clarify the relationship between the sub-components of network externalities (NE), investigates the mediating role of the perception of innovation characteristics and explores the potential moderating effects of technology anxiety within an integrative framework using the theories of diffusion of innovation (DOI) and NE on the behavioural intention of mobile banking services. NE theory explains the impact of an increase in number of users and complementary services on perceived value of product innovation. Design/methodology/approach – This study clarifies the relationship between the sub-components of NE, investigates the mediating role of the perception of innovation characteristics and explores the potential moderating effects of technology anxiety within an integrative framework using the theories of DOI and NE on the behavioural intention of mobile banking services. NE theory explains the impact of an increase in number of users and complementary services on perceived value of product innovation. Findings – Empirical results support the positive relationship between perceived number of users and availability of complementary services. The results lend support to the hypothesized mediating role of perceived compatibility and perceived complexity on the influence of indirect NE on the intention to use mobile banking. Finally, technology anxiety did not moderate any of the paths postulated in the hypothesized model. Practical implications – The findings suggest that the willingness to adopt mobile banking may be increased by providing and promoting a wide range of complementary services because the availability of complementary services gives the impression that mobile banking is easy to use and is compatible with their lifestyles. Originality/value – This study contributes to the literature on DOI by using NE theory, a theory borrowed from Economics to explain an underlying motivation to adopt an innovation. This is an original study which tests the proposition that NE may influence the perception of innovation characteristics and intention to adopt an innovation.

It intends to do that through the mediating role of customer satisfaction, by identifying the extent to which these dimensions apply according to the study the study, as well as the knowledge of the relationship quality. In order to meet the objectives of the study, a regular sample of 384 individuals was selected. These individuals were clients of the selected commercial banks, selected by customers who frequented the banks within a specified period of time. The study also found that there was a statistically significant correlation between corporate entrepreneurship and customer loyalty, which means that the greater the application of corporate entrepreneurship, the higher the effect of internal and external factors. The study suggests a set of recommendations to encourage banks in the study to apply CE to enhance customer loyalty.

Abstract There is mixed evidence for the relationship between increased levels of the drive for muscularity (DFM) and disordered eating behavior in males, therefore this study analysed the relationship between DFM and disordered eating behavior, giving particular relevance to the patterns of cognitive appraisal. A convenience sample was recruited from fitness centres and sport clubs with 308 participants, all males. Losing muscular mass represented a negative experience for participants, promoting a higher perception of threat appraisal. In addition, losing muscular mass was related to more muscularity-oriented behaviors and disordered eating behavior. Cognitive appraisal mediates the relation between DFM and disordered eating behavior. The results highlight the role of cognitive appraisal in DFM and disordered eating behavior in males in sport contexts.
