An Adaptable Secure Scheme in Mobile Ad hoc Network to Protect the Communication Channel From Malicious Behaviours

Mobile ad-hoc network (MANET) is a trending field in the smart digital world; it is effectively utilized for communication sharing purposes. Besides this communication, it has numerous advances like a personal computer. However, the packet drop and low throughput ratio became serious issues. Several algorithms are implemented to increase the throughput ratio by developing multipath routing. But in some cases, the multipath routing ends in routing overhead and takes more time to transfer the data because of data load in the same path. To end this problem, this research aimed to develop a novel temporary ordered route energy migration (TOREM). Here, the migration approach balanced the data load equally and enhanced the communication channel; also, the reference node creation strategy reduced the routing overhead and packet drop ratio. Finally, the outcome of the proposed model is validated with recent existing works and earned better results by minimizing packet drop and maximizing throughput ratio.

Mobile ad-hoc network routing protocol performance is evaluated mostly through simulative studies. One-factor-at-atime approach is commonly used to quantify the effect of various factors on the protocol performance. In this work, the effect of several factors was investigated simultaneously and speedily with the application of Taguchi design of experiments. The effect of the factors which include terrain size, node speed, network size, transmission range, transmission rates, pause time, and maximum connection on routing overhead was quantified. Analysis signal-to-noise ratio was performed to determine the best possible combination of factors and analysis of variance (ANOVA) was carried out to identify the significant factors that affect the routing overhead. The results showed that network size, transmission range and maximum connection play a significant role in minimizing routing overhead. The results were confirmed experimentally at 95% confidence interval.

Mobile ad hoc network represents a system of wireless mobile nodes that can freely and dynamically self-organize network topologies without any preexisting communication infrastructure. Due to characteristics like temporary topology and absence of centralized authority, routing is one of the major issues in ad hoc networks. In this paper, a new multipath routing scheme is proposed by employing simulated annealing approach. The proposed metaheuristic approach can achieve greater and reciprocal advantages in a hostile dynamic real world network situation. Therefore, the proposed routing scheme is a powerful method for finding an effective solution into the conflict mobile ad hoc network routing problem. Simulation results indicate that the proposed paradigm adapts best to the variation of dynamic network situations. The average remaining energy, network throughput, packet loss probability, and traffic load distribution are improved by about 10%, 10%, 5%, and 10%, respectively, more than the existing schemes.

MANET is a mobile ad-hoc network that is made of several mobile nodes that can communicate in a multi-way without any fixed or regular infrastructure. Due to its special features such as its self-organization, easy deployment it has been preferred for many military and civil applications. MANET has also gained popularity in the multimedia field. MANET has certain levels of requirements such as QoS (Quality of Service), jitter and energy, bandwidth, and end-2-end delay. MANET’s one of the basic requirements is having QoS and should have efficient routing to support other applications. In this research paper, a special Genetic Algorithm known as the GA algorithm based on routing on a Mobile Ad-hoc network is designed and termed as GAMAN. The proposed model uses a 2 QoS system for routing. The outcome of this paper showed that the GAMAN method is a significant one for QoS in MANET.

Mobile ad hoc network (MANET) is a miscellany of versatile nodes that communicate without any fixed physical framework. MANETs gained popularity due to various notable features like dynamic topology, rapid setup, multihop data transmission, and so on. These prominent features make MANETs suitable for many real-time applications like environmental monitoring, disaster management, and covert and combat operations. Moreover, MANETs can also be integrated with emerging technologies like cloud computing, IoT, and machine learning algorithms to achieve the vision of Industry 4.0. All MANET-based sensitive real-time applications require secure and reliable data transmission that must meet the required QoS. In MANET, achieving secure and energy-efficient data transmission is a challenging task. To accomplish such challenging objectives, it is necessary to design a secure routing protocol that enhances the MANET’s QoS. In this paper, we proposed a trust-based multipath routing protocol called TBSMR to enhance the MANET’s overall performance. The main strength of the proposed protocol is that it considers multiple factors like congestion control, packet loss reduction, malicious node detection, and secure data transmission to intensify the MANET’s QoS. The performance of the proposed protocol is analyzed through the simulation in NS2. Our simulation results justify that the proposed routing protocol exhibits superior performance than the existing approaches.
