As the development of carbon diocide sensors and communication technology, the method for monitoring the concentration of carbon dioxide is more and more advanced, especially the traditonal methods have the disadvantage of the low accuracy and inconvenience on use. This paper puts forward a wireless sensor networks based on TC35 module and the method of the signal transmitting. Through the application of wireless technology, the MCU could send the carbon diocide concentration data from the carbon diocide sensor which is based on the NDIR technology to the process module, and the system could achieve the distant measurement of the carbon diocide displayed on the LED. Comparing with wire monitor system, wireless monitor system omits linking lines and it has good application prospect.

Nowadays, Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are appeared to be new and promising solutions for next generation real-time wireless monitoring applications. These WSNs could become a threat if suitable security is not considered before the deployment. However, if there is any loophole in security, that might opens the door to attackers and hence, endanger for the applications. So, user authentication is one of the core requirements to protect WSNs data access from the unauthorized users. In this regard, we propose an efficient two-factor user authentication for WSNs, which is based on password and smart card (two-factors). Our scheme provides mutual authentication, enables the user to choose and change their password frequently. Moreover, they provides strong protection against different kind of attacks at reasonable computation cost.

Many researchers employ IEEE802.15.4 as communication technology for wireless sensor networks (WSNs). However, medium access control (MAC) layer requirements for communications in wireless sensor networks (WSNs) vary because the network is usually optimized for specific applications. Thus, one particular standard will hardly be suitable for every possible application. Two general categories of MAC techniques exist: contention based and schedule based. This paper explains these two main approaches and includes examples of each one. The paper concludes with a unique performance analysis and comparison of benefits and limitations of each protocol with respect to WSNs.

A kind of wireless monitoring interface device based on wireless sensor networks for ammeters was proposed. Ammeters connected by UART or pulse interface to get ammeters’ real-time data. Then, an ammeter monitoring system based on wireless sensor networks (AMSBW) was designed. The system consist building-WSN and community wireless monitoring center. And user’s ammeters, ammeter wireless monitoring interface devices and building-sink nodes were included in the building-WSN; the center sink node and monitoring host were contained in community monitoring center. The functions of real-time monitoring, remote control and preventing electricity-stolen were designed in the AMSBW which had simple installation and configuration. Then a software system to test the AMSBW was exploited. At last, system’s tests results show that it could effectively achieve the goal of real-time monitoring and control ammeter.

The fast evolution of computer technology, sensor technology, MEMS and modern wireless communication technology has impelled development of wireless sensor networks. Wireless sensor networks are consist of a large number of nodes which can be capable of communicating, computing and cooperation in ad hoc model. In this paper, we study the application of wireless sensor networks in power engineering. A device for remote monitoring of electric towers is designed. This paper proposes the implementations of remote wireless centralized electricity meter reading based on wireless sensor network.

The results of a study of changes in temperature and humidity conditions and concentration of carbon dioxide depending on weather conditions in cowsheds for 200 heads of tethered and 320 heads of loose housing are presented. The graphical models of the distribution of temperature, humidity and carbon dioxide concentration inside the cowsheds under similar weather conditions are provided.
