The CAD software SolidWorks was used to create a three-dimensional finite element model of FTIR infrared spectrometer, and the model was imported into ANSYS/Workbench to modal analysis and harmonic response analysis. Through modal analysis, each order natural frequency and vibration shape were obtained. From modal shape analysis, all components of the stiffness strength and elastic deformation situation were got, and many times tests were carried to enhance stability of the structure and materials which had the most seriously deformation and direct effect impact to the quality of interferometer. The most sensitive frequency range of the system was concluded by harmonic response analysis, which provided a basis for further designing and improving of the spectrometer performance.

TX1600 boring and milling machining center milling part was studied. The Three-dimensional solid model was established based on Solidworks. Simultaneously, modal analysis was carried out by ANSYS Workbench software, the first six natural frequencies and corresponding modes were acquired. Based on the modal analysis, the harmonic response analysis of milling part was conducted, and the response curves of the three main motion orientation were obtained respectively, the vibration performance of milling part under forces was further explored, and the finite element model was validated. The feasibility of the model to simplify the program was verified by modal and harmonic response analysis. The study provides a good basis in terms of selecting a specific material. The structures and material are optimized. Ultimately, a lot of energy is saved.

This paper gives modal analysis results for mid-body of a refrigerator carrier ship by means of combined three-dimensional finite-element model with 1.5 million DOF. The study estimates the error of modal analysis for the ship structure if its boundary conditions are specified in advance, i.e. approximately, as well as analyses the gain in time offered by structuring the analytical model as per reduction (condensation) method. Analytical approaches thus transformed can be successfully applied in filtering lower frequencies and modes of natural vibrations for structural elements and joints of hull in the direct vicinity of exciting force application points.

Abstract. To make vehicles more reliable and efficient, many researchers have tried to improve the rotor performance. Although certain achievements have been made, the previous finite element model did not reflect the historical process of the motor rotor well, and the rigidity and mass in rotor optimization are less discussed together. This paper firstly introduces fractional order into a finite element model to conduct the harmonic response analysis. Then, we propose an optimal design framework of a rotor. In the framework, objective functions of rigidity and mass are defined, and the relationship between high rigidity and the first-order frequency is discussed. In order to find the optimal values, an accelerated optimization method based on response surface (ARSO) is proposed to find the suitable design parameters of rigidity and mass. Because the higher rigidity can be transformed into the first-order natural frequency by objective function, this paper analyzes the first-order frequency and mass of a motor rotor in the experiment. The results proved that not only is the fractional model effective, but also the ARSO can optimize the rotor structure. The first-order natural frequency of asynchronous motor rotor is increased by 11.2 %, and the mass is reduced by 13.8 %, which can realize high stiffness and light mass of asynchronous motor rotors.

Led die bonder used for bond lead frame and chip is one of the key equipment of led production line. The swing-arm is an important component of led die bonder and its dynamic characteristics will directly affect the piece accuracy. At present, the accuracy and efficiency of led die bonder are limited because of the vibration of the swing-arm. In solving this problem, a three-dimensional finite-element model for swing-arm is built to provide analytical frequencies and vibration modes. Then the modal distribution and vibration mode shapes for swing-arm are obtained after analyzing the modal by ansys10.0. Finally the dynamics effects of this structure by modal frequency and vibration mode are analyzed. The modal analysis of structural would provide the reference to dynamics analysis and structural optimization for swing-arm in practical use.

A finite beam element model of the spindle which is one of key parts of the high-speed winder is presented in this paper. Critical speeds of the spindle based on the finite beam element model are obtained considering the effect of rotatory inertia, gyroscopic moments, and the damping. Harmonic response analysis of the high-speed winder spindle is developed in two conditions including static unbalance and couple unbalance. The dynamic analysis mentioned above is implemented by using the finite element software ANSYS. Calculation results in this paper are helpful for the dynamic balance of the high-speed winder spindle.

The modal analysis of the engine block is carried out using finite element method. Through the analysis, the inherent frequencies and mode shapes of the first 6 order modes are obtained respectively. Then the harmonic response analysis of the engine block is carried out based on the modal analysis, and the corresponding inherent frequencies of the weak positions of block under the action of external cycle force are obtained. Finally, the consistency of the typical mode shape and amplitude-frequency curve is compared.

This article investigates the effects of bearing configuration on the spindle dynamic characteristics. First, an analytical model of spindle is proposed and the bearing sets radial stiffness is calculated. Second, the spindle analytical model is developed to perform modal analysis and harmonic response analysis with ANSYS, and then obtain the natural frequency and FRF under different bearing configurations. The result suggests that bearing configuration has little effect on the natural frequency of spindle system and the FRF amplitude corresponding to the 1st natural frequency under back to back configuration or face to face configuration is relatively small. Finally, the proposed model is validated by modal experiment.

Acoustic system is the core component of power ultrasonic, which is designed by traditional analytic method and modal analysis with finite element analysis method. And component of the step-like horn with rectangular sections and tool head used in two dimension ultrasonic polishing without abrasives are studied, and the calculating results and modal analysis results are consistent on the whole. The harmonic response analysis for the component of horn and tool head is carried out and the three dimensional coordinates of the vibrating node on the tool head with maximal displacement are obtained. The fitting result shows that the moving trajectory of such node is ellipses, which meets the experimental requirement well. So a new way for designing acoustic system of two dimensional ultrasonic vibration through combining theoretical calculation with computer aided design may be applied.
