With more frequent information exchange between the completely open mobile Android platform and other embedded platforms, the needed for information integrity and real-time's requirements are more stringent. Now the Bluetooth communication data algorithm on the Android platform has some defects while realizing communication data's real-time capacity and operability. Based on the research of Android Bluetooth devices and non-peer platform for Bluetooth communication, an array-list timestamp combination algorithm was put forward (was proposed) to solve the uncompetition of data frames and data loss phenomenon when the Android Bluetooth devices receive data frames during communication process.

The present research investigates students’ degree of engagement and per-ceptions in a telecollaboration project which incorporates the use of the WebRTC (Web Real-time Communication) protocol and Peer-to-Peer (P2P) communication to develop a virtual exchange in a second language envi-ronment. WebRTC is an open source technology that simplifies the tele-communication process thanks to its inherent characteristics such as P2P connectivity, no plugins installation, scalability and accessibility. The study involved 32 participants from two different universities who partici-pated in a teletandem exchange over a period of 4 months. Task design con-sisted of information exchange and information gap activities that were giv-en to students in order to foster the interaction. A mixed methods approach was used and students’ engagement was measured through the use of a log, a pre-existing knowledge survey and an engagement scale. An additional sur-vey analysing students’ perceptions was also given to students at the end of the project. Inferential statistics showed significant results in terms of emo-tional, behavioral and cognitive engagement. Furthermore, WebRTC earned a high acceptance among students participating in the virtual exchange and advantages and pitfalls of using this technology were observed throughout the project.

Due to the ever-increasing amount of data collected and the requirements for the rapid and reliable exchange of information across many interconnected communication devices, land-based communications networks are experiencing continuous progress and improvement of existing infrastructures. However, maritime communications are still characterized by slow communication speeds and limited communication capacity, despite a similar trend of increasing demand for information exchange. These limitations are particularly evident in digital data exchange, which is still limited to relatively slow and expensive narrowband satellite transmission. Furthermore, with the increasing digitalization of ships and introducing the sustainable concept of autonomous ship operation, large amounts of collected data need to be transmitted in real-time to enable remote voyage monitoring and control, putting additional pressure on the already strained means of maritime communications. In this paper, an adaptive shipboard data compression method based on differential binary encoding is proposed for real-time maritime data transmission. The proposed approach is verified on the actual data collected on board a training ship equipped with the latest data acquisition system. The obtained results show that the proposed data encoding method efficiently reduces the transmitted data size to an average of 3.4% of the original shipboard data, thus significantly reducing the required data transmission rate. Moreover, the proposed method outperforms several other tested competing methods for shipboard data encoding by up to 69.6% in terms of compression efficiency. Therefore, this study suggests that the proposed data compression approach can be a viable and efficient solution for transmitting large amounts of digital shipboard data in sustainable maritime real-time communications.

It discusses the reasons of the data transmission time delay and packets loss based on the theory of net data transmission. Aimed to the question of the time delay of data transmission and packets loss, the control system models are set up to analyze their influence to the performance of the control system. Based on the synchronous control model analysis with wireless data transmission, a method to control the system is reached with the state prediction when the communication error or data loss appears. It can control constantly when communication errors appear, and also it can get the most error period by numerical analysis.

Abstract Communication between the process stations of the distributed control system is carried out. By the supervision and therapeutic systems of the stations communication process diagnosis is performed. Supervision and therapeutic systems are responsible for the security of transmitted data. The security is considered in this article mainly in the aspect of resistance to external destructive factors on the data transmission process. It is assumed that the transmission security can be provided by mechanisms protecting the integrity of the transmitted data. Correctness of the data is controlled by using one-way hash function calculated on the basis of the transmitted value variable and also is attached to the transmitted data. This allows to maintain the integrity of the transmitted process data. A solutions using one-way hash function to protection of the transmission before changing message contents (caused by eg. intruder interference) are proposed in the article.
