The paper presents the theoretical results of extensive research on the dynamic behavior of linear hydraulic motors, carried out in INOE 2000-IHP, in the framework of the NUCLEU Programmer. The research has been conducted both theoretically and experimentally, but, in this paper, is presented only the theoretical research. Theoretical research has taken place with the modern means of mathematical modeling and computer numerical simulation. The article presents some theoretical interested results obtained in the research, results that are of real scientific interest, but, also, with practical value through their use in the design of fluid power components and equipments.

The paper presents the results following the theoretical research of one vertical elevation mechanism regarding the dynamic behavior for one modern transfer systems, a manipulator or robot in cylindrical co-ordinates, which belongs to a molding technological module based on the hydraulic presses. Using the mathematical modeling and the computer simulation, it can identify the parameters with sensitive behavior and, finally, it can optimize the dynamic regimes according to the real requests of driving.

The paper presents the results obtained following the theoretical research of one rotation mechanism, regarding the dynamic behavior for one modern transfer system, a manipulator or robot in cylindrical co-ordinates, which belongs to a molding technological module based on the hydraulic presses. Using the mathematical modeling and the computer simulation, we can know the dynamic behavior of the rotation mechanism. Analyzing the dynamic behavior, it can identify the parameters with sensitive behavior and, finally, it can optimize the dynamic regimes according to the real requests of driving, in order to satisfy the technological processes.

The integration of internal leakage fault detection and tolerant control for single-rod hydraulic actuators is present in this paper. Fault detection is a potential technique to provide efficient condition monitoring and/or preventive maintenance, and fault tolerant control is a critical method to improve the safety and reliability of hydraulic servo systems. Based on quadratic Lyapunov functions, a performance-oriented fault detection method is proposed, which has a simple structure and is prone to implement in practice. The main feature is that, when a prescribed performance index is satisfied (even a slight fault has occurred), there is no fault alarmed; otherwise (i.e., a severe fault has occurred), the fault is detected and then a fault tolerant controller is activated. The proposed tolerant controller, which is based on the parameter adaptive methodology, is also prone to realize, and the learning mechanism is simple since only the internal leakage is considered in parameter adaptation and thus the persistent exciting (PE) condition is easily satisfied. After the activation of the fault tolerant controller, the control performance is gradually recovered. Simulation results on a hydraulic servo system with both abrupt and incipient internal leakage fault demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed fault detection and tolerant control method.

When being constructed, complex dynamical networks can lose stability in the sense of Lyapunov (i. s. L.) due to positive feedback. Thus, there is much important worthiness in the theory and applications of complex dynamical networks to study the stability. In this paper, according to dissipative system criteria, we give the stability condition in general complex dynamical networks, especially, in NW small-world and BA scale-free networks. The results of theoretical analysis and numerical simulation show that the stability i. s. L. depends on the maximal connectivity of the network. Finally, we show a numerical example to verify our theoretical results.

The thixo-forging of magnesium matrix composite was analyzed with computer numerical simulation based on rigid viscoplastic finite element method. The constitutive model of SiCp/AZ61 composite was established in our prior literature. Behavior of metal flow and temperature field were obtained. The differences between traditional forging and thixo-forging processes were analyzed. Results indicated that thixo-forging was better in filling cavity than forging. Simulation results were good agreement with experimental ones.
