As the informationization of the medicare sector in China grows up and the sources of the rehabilitation data are distributed and multi-leveled from different centers, it is urgently needed to integrate the resources of various application systems, implement unified data exchange of the distributed and heterogeneous multiple data sources and encapsulate the data resources into various kinds of services. For this purpose, this paper puts forward the idea of SOA-based cloud services encapsulation and integrated architecture. At first, the multi-source and heterogeneity of data and the integration of information in the rehabilitation management are analyzed. Then, the cloud services encapsulation and integration technology is study to find out how to encapsulate data resources into various kinds of services, build a SOA-based cloud services platform, find a solution for the integration of multi-sourced and heterogeneous data, and meet the function extension, encapsulation and release of cloud services arising out of changing demands. At last, A case of the cloud platform system is presented to show the feasibility and effectiveness of the architecture platform.

To promote the innovation of teaching resources and heterogeneous data exchange platform technologies and theories, heterogeneous data exchange platforms based on ICMPv6 teaching resources were studied. First, based on ICMPv6, the middle-tier architecture of the heterogeneous data exchange platform for teaching resources was studied. Second, the application layer architecture in the heterogeneous data exchange platform system of educational resources was studied. The middle layer and application layer were designed and implemented. Finally, the system was applied to the education platform to reflect its performance. The results showed that the ICMPv6 system could solve data exchange and data sharing systems between schools and homes. Contributions were made in solving interactive education between home and school. To sum up, it is feasible to use ICMPv6 on heterogeneous educational resources exchange platform.

Complex systems nowadays are usually supported by previously developed or inherited application systems, which have been developed on the basis of business functions standard model. Such application systems cover particular business fields, however, since they have been developed in an independent and uncoordinated way, there are modest possibilities of interacted automated data exchange because of heterogeneous data. Because of increasing data exchange needs, enforcement of development and upgrade of programmatic procedures is required. In this connection it is necessary to find ways and means to integrate all existing application systems in given circumstances and render possible exchange and usage of all needed data in a reliable and consistent way. The problem can be solved in different ways. Asynchronous message-passing and inter-application communication software appliance imply commencement of automated data exchange among existing organizations application systems, providing for full scale control and management of mutually exchangeable data, internally as well as externally. In this connection contributing model of the running application systems integrated by means of Message-Oriented Middleware (MOM) of the complex system has been created.

With the growth of cloud services, many companies have begun to persist and make their data available through services such as Data as a Service (DaaS) and Database as a Service (DBaaS). The DaaS model provides on-demand data through an Application Programming Inter- face (API), while DBaaS model provides on-demand database management systems. Different data sources require efforts to integrate data from different models. These model types include unstructured, semi-structured, and structured data. Heterogeneity from DaaS and DBaaS makes it challenging to integrate data from different services. In response to this problem, we developed the Data Join (DJ) method to integrate heterogeneous DaaS and DBaaS sources. DJ was described through canonical models and incorporated into a middleware as a proof-of-concept. A test case and three experiments were performed to validate our DJ method: the first experiment tackles data from DaaS and DBaaS in isolation; the second experiment associates data from different DaaS and DBaaS through one join clause; and the third experiment integrates data from three sources (one DaaS and two DBaaS) based on different data type (relational, NoSQL, and NewSQL) through two join clauses. Our experiments evaluated the viability, functionality, integration, and performance of the DJ method. Results demonstrate that DJ method outperforms most of the related work on selecting and integrating data in a cloud environment.

Chapter 2 highlighted both the critical need for data-exchange standards and the current limit of empirical research in the adoption of information technology standards and more specifically data-exchange standards such as STEP. These two issues were key motivations for this research. Therefore, to achieve the aims of this research, a qualitative approach was used to support the exploratory and descriptive nature of the research. This chapter discusses the justifications for the overall research philosophy and approach subscribed to, and the multiple data collection and data analysis activities used to collect sufficient data to answer the study’s research questions.

Cloud computing is a typical network computing model.Large-scale network applications based on cloud computing presents the characteristics and trends of distributed, heterogeneous data-intensive.Smart grid is a complex system running a real-time online. It is a data-intensive applications. How to effectively integrate multiple data centers in the smart grid and let them work together in the cloud computing environment is a question. And how to make rational distribution of data in the smart grid is also a question. Therefore, we propose a global placement strategy based on genetic algorithm. And we give the data placement scheme for solving on data-intensive applications.Through simulation software CloudSim, we conducted simulation experiments and analyzed the effectiveness of the program.
