Discharge of failure was the fault type are likely to occur in transformers, bushings, transformers, and the extent of damage to the equipment is a serious and direct impact on the stable operation of the system, first introduced the principle and gas chromatographic analysis its test methods, then gas chromatography equipment discharge failure is how to judge the conduct described. Through the analysis of transformer oil chromatographic method can be found as early as possible transformers and other equipment inside the existence of latent failures, thus chromatography is to oversee and guarantee the safe operation of an important means of transformer.

Abstract Measuring the content of dissolved gas components in transformer insulating oil by gas chromatography is an important means to judge the internal potential faults of oil filled electrical equipment in the process of operation supervision. The necessary work skills of power grid operators include the ability to detect the content of dissolved gas in transformer oil and judge the operation state of transformer. This paper introduces a preparation method and equipment of transformer standard oil. It can quickly prepare standard oils with various gas component contents. The standard oil quantity value is accurate, the data stability period is greater than 90 days, and the uncertainty is less than 5%. The equipment can be used for training and evaluation of transformer oil gas chromatographic analysis practitioners and calibration of transformer oil on-line gas chromatograph.

The production principle of characteristic gas in transformer oil and its corresponding transformer fault type are discussed in this paper. Aiming at the fault of multiple characteristic gases exceeding the standard in a 110 kV transformer oil, this paper analyzed the fault reasons according to the characteristic gas method and the three-ratio method, and combined with relevant tests, it was judged that the transformer core multiple grounding fault caused the fault. The on-site inspection verifies the correctness of the failure analysis results and the corresponding measures were adopted to eliminate the transformer faults.

The influence of the periodicity of diagnostic measurements on the operational state of high-voltage transformers is considered. Examples of defects of switching devices of converter transformers and methods for their detection are given. The rationale for the importance of recognition of defects at an early stage of their occurrence is given. The influence of the multiplicity of overvoltages on the service life of converter transformers in the aluminum industry is investigated. Based on the analysis of the service life of converter transformers of one of the powerful aluminum plants, where 83% of converter transformers have exhausted their standard service life, it is shown that in 40% of cases it would be possible to avoid their failures, with timely detection and elimination of emerging defects. Examples of defects of OLR (on-load regulators) of converter transformers and methods for their detection are given. The importance of recognition of defects at an early stage of their occurrence is substantiated. A method for chromatographic analysis of dissolved gases in transformer oil has been developed for the qualitative determination of defects and ways to eliminate them. Examples of diagnostics of converter transformers at operating voltage and working load are given, providing the best quality operational characteristics of converter transformers. The periodicity of diagnostic measurements and the reduction of defects and failures has been substantiated. The question of diagnosing the state of the converter transformer TDNP-40000/10 at an enterprise of the aluminum industry is investigated. Currently, diagnostic methods are being developed based on chromatographic analysis of dissolved gases in transformer oil. The presented method of evaluating the operating parameters of transformers allows for the safe operation of high-voltage transformers and enables to increase the reliability of the power supply scheme of aluminum industry plants.

The parameters of electrical network modes often do not meet the requirements of Russian GOST 32144-2013 and the guidelines of Vietnam. In the actual operating conditions while there is the non-sinusoidal mode in electrical networks voltage and current harmonics are present. Harmonics result in overheating and damage of power transformers since they cause additional active power losses. Additional losses lead to the additional heat release, accelerating the process of insulating paper, transformer oil and magnetic structure deterioration consequently shortening the service life of a power transformer. In this regard there arises a need to develop certain scientific methods that would help demonstrate that low power quality, for instance could lead to a decrease in the electrical equipment service life. Currently we see a development of automated systems for continuous monitoring of power quality indices and mode parameters of electrical networks. These systems could be supplemented by characteristics calculating programs that give out a warning upon detection of the adverse influence of voltage and current harmonics on various electrical equipment of both electric power providers and electric power consumers. A software program presented in the article may be used to predict the influence of voltage and current harmonics on power transformers.

Abstract A method suitable for routine application was used in an interlaboratory study to detect irradiation treatment of chicken carcass, pork, and beef. By using gas chromatographic analysis, 17 participating laboratories determined the quantity of 4 different radiation-induced volatile hydrocarbons (tetradecene, pentadecane, hexadecadiene, and neptadecene) in the fat fraction of coded specimens approximately 3 and 6 months after irradiation. The specimens of each type of meat were supplied by 2 different producers. The dose range tested (0.6-7.5 kGy) included levels commercially used to reduce the number of contaminating microorganisms (1-5 kGy). The method employed permitted a correct identification of irradiated or nonirradiated in 98.3% of the 864 specimens.

Abstract A planar chromatographic (PC) method was developed to determine thiamphenicol in human and bovine plasma with florphenicol as internal standard. The performance of the method was compared with that of a liquid chromatographic method. Recovery of extraction method developed for plasma was 81.51 ± 2.85%. Reproducibilities of the PC assay performed with various PC plates were also good.

Abstract A liquid chromatographic method is described for the determination of cymiazole residues in honey. This acaricide is determined on a reversed-phase (C18) column, with a CH3CN-O.OOIN HCI-NaCI mixture (950 mL + 50 mL + 0.3 g/L) as the mobile phase, and UV detection at 265 nm. Cymiazole is extracted with n-hexane from aqueous alkalinized (pH 9) honey solutions. No further cleanup of the honey extract was required before chromatographic analysis. Recoveries on control samples fortified with 0.01,0.10, and 1.00 ppm cymiazole ranged from 92 to 102%. The limit of determination was 0.01 ppm.

Power plant relay protection setting value of the hidden harm causes of relay protection device is not correct, safe and stable operation of the power plant. In this paper, from the angle of the safe operation of power plant, the hidden danger to plant with the protection setting is studied and then the risk evaluation method of power plant relay protection setting values of hidden trouble is proposed. From the power plant relay protection setting value considering two aspects of probability and consequences of potential outbreak of different values, value potential risk is considered, and of a certain power plant in Hubei was made the risk assessment and analysis, in order to verify the theoretical rationality and accuracy.
