CAN bus communication has been used in a serial protocol for connecting electronic control modules together with its hardware and software design in automotive gauge application. The motivation is to develop a PC-based monitoring system for not only CAN frames received from or sent onto CAN bus, but also data recorded on log files consideration. This paper presents a prototype monitoring system on automotive CAN bus gauge for communication protocol in Ford Mustang. For the proposed CAN bus monitoring system, the designed architecture is discussed and verified into PC for surveillance performance. Furthermore the Ethernet technology adopted in the system makes it a more practical and convenient CAN bus testing system.

The electromagnetic technology of drying Paper is that we use the principle of electromagnetic heating to dry paper, which is a new paper drying technology and quite different from the traditional steam drying . This thesis is based on the principle of electromagnetic induction, combined with technical requirement of paper drying. We used the AutoCAD software design a laboratory drying device with electromagnetic, and analyzed various parts of the selection and structure, by using UG software solid modeling, assembly modeling and other modules design a three-dimensional simulation of the various parts of the electromagnetic dryer device. The simulation graphics shown that the simulation design of electromagnetic dryer is more success, which can meet the requirements of drying paper evenly.

Several countries in the world, including Indonesia, have reported baby-care accidents in the baby incubator due to the failure of the temperature control system to maintain a stable temperature. Therefore, this study reports the design of an circuit breaker system as an over-temperature safety in a baby incubator. Experimentally, the prototype consists of hardware design, software design, and testing system design. The hardware design has four main part, sensing layer using PT1000 as a temperature sensor, data processing layer using an ESP32 microcontroller, a circuit breaker system using a solid-state relay as an electronic switching, and LCD as a display. System testing has been done by evaluating the temperature readings on a prototype against the HTC-02 digital thermometer instrument and carried out in the electromedical engineering laboratory. The results show the accuracy of the temperature parameter is 99% and the circuit breaker system is able to cut the current from the power supply to the appliance when the temperature is more than 39°C which is indicated by an incandescent lamp "off" where this is equivalent to a heater at the baby incubator is in the "off" condition. From the results of this test, it can be concluded that the circuit breaker system as a safety over temperature in the baby incubator has functioned according to the design.Recommended the development of this prototype needs to be followed up by testing on low-tech baby incubators available at basic health care facilities so as to improve technology readiness to be effective in the community.

An Italian MSE R&D programme on Nuclear Fission is funding, through ENEA, the design and testing of SPES3 facility at SIET, for IRIS reactor simulation. IRIS is a modular, medium size, advanced, integral PWR, developed by an international consortium of utilities, industries, research centres and universities. SPES3 simulates the primary, secondary and containment systems of IRIS, with 1:100 volume scale, full elevation and prototypical thermal-hydraulic conditions. The RELAP5 code was extensively used in support to the design of the facility to identify criticalities and weak points in the reactor simulation. FER, at Zagreb University, performed the IRIS reactor analyses with the RELAP5 and GOTHIC coupled codes. The comparison between IRIS and SPES3 simulation results led to a simulation-design feedback process with step-by-step modifications of the facility design, up to the final configuration. For this, a series of sensitivity cases was run to investigate specific aspects affecting the trend of the main parameters of the plant, as the containment pressure and EHRS removed power, to limit fuel clad temperature excursions during accidental transients. This paper summarizes the sensitivity analyses on the containment system that allowed to review the SPES3 facility design and confirm its capability to appropriately simulate the IRIS plant.
