CAN bus communication has been used in a serial protocol for connecting electronic control modules together with its hardware and software design in automotive gauge application. The motivation is to develop a PC-based monitoring system for not only CAN frames received from or sent onto CAN bus, but also data recorded on log files consideration. This paper presents a prototype monitoring system on automotive CAN bus gauge for communication protocol in Ford Mustang. For the proposed CAN bus monitoring system, the designed architecture is discussed and verified into PC for surveillance performance. Furthermore the Ethernet technology adopted in the system makes it a more practical and convenient CAN bus testing system.

In this paper the system architecture of the vehicular monitoring system based on high speed CAN bus and low speed CAN Bus and SAE J1939 so as to share information between different ECUs (Electronic Control Units) has been designed. Using Visual C++ 6.0, vehicular monitoring software platform has been developed to realize vehicular runtime parameters monitoring, device controllers monitoring and malfunction monitoring. Also a case study has been given, and the results of the system application are reasonable.

Take the microcontroller MC9S08DZ60 which integrated CAN controller for example, the design of automotive electronic control unit was introduced, meanwhile shown the hardware structure and software design processes. This circuit has characteristics of simple hardware, low cost, high reliability, real-time. It has provided a scientific basis for the development of the CAN communication electronic control unit based on MC9S08DZ60 microprocessor.

The SAE J1939 is a typical CAN bus network communication protocol of integrated electronic system of armored vehicles, which adopts the PDU as a data transmission unit. The agreement can quickly parse out the meaning of the received data to according to data definition; The fault code is used to transfer fault diagnosis information while the SAE J1939 is employed, from which equipment faults can be easily obtained. In this paper, the protocol is described and applied to fault diagnosis application of the engine electronic control box in the armored vehicle. The results proved the protocol is reliable and effective.

According to the single battery's series structure in the fuel cell stack, we develop an on-line fuel cell voltage monitoring system, and realize VISA library functions’ call and operation data acquisition and storage successfully in the Delphi development environment. It’s introduced mainly that the monitoring principle, hardware structure, software design and the main feature. The actual application proves that this system has realized high-precision and real-time monitoring of the output voltage of the fuel cell for multi-channel, and has multi-condition operation by setting original parameters easily, thereby, the system has more applicability and well reliability.

According to the working principle of load monitored oil pressure, in order to real-time monitor the actual load of auxiliary shift, and make the execution of alarming on the malfunctions in the working state of the equipment concerned, we designed a monitor system of auxiliary shift based on Labview[1]. This system can provide guarantee of the safety lifting. So the formation, design principle, hardware and software design well be introduced in this article.

CAN bus was used as the data transferring channels in the two–level controllers, and the real-time,dexterity,expansibility and security for the Gluing control system based on CAN bus can be improved obviously.The system structure, principle and software design were introduced.The experiment shows that it is a reliable control system and it can meet the requirements of automatic gluing tasks.

The actual operation commissioning proves the electronic control system has the fast response, and robust, more kinds of textile and so on.
