The aim of this paper is to verify empirically whether the Specific Trade Concerns (STCs) regarding Technical Barriers to Trade (TBTs) notifications by WTO members can serve as an early warning system for past and future disputes (DS) covering allegedly trade restricting TBTs. WTO members, in order to increase transparency of trade policies, have made efforts to compile data on notified TBTs. For several years the WTO provides a TBT dataset, used in our paper, which covers the STCs raised by its members (“reverse” notifications). From 1995-2011, there have been 45 requests for consultation under the Dispute Settlement (DS) Body of the World Trade Organization (WTO) in order to identify possible violations of the technical barriers to trade (TBT) agreement. This paper attempts to find the linkages between DS cases citing the TBT agreement and the STC data regarding TBTs. The DS Body’s decisions regarding possible violations of the TBT agreement are discussed in detail. Afterwards, we analyze, descriptively and econometrically, the relationship between notified STCs and DS consultations regarding TBTs.

From time to time, transformation are always happen because it is the key of innovation. Human always changing their mindset on how make things easier, practical, and right. The same goes to the company to keep on growing. Not only to going nowhere, but they need to get out of their comfort zone to grow rapidly by introducing the company to the international world. In this era, it is not really difficult to reach internatonal market, especially exporting/internationalization service than product manufactur. Scholars highlight four features that distinguish services from manufactured goods: (1) intangibility (services are not transportable or storable), (2) inseparability (production and consumption occur simultaneously), (3) perishability (services cannot be saved but must be consumed as they are produced), and (4) heterogeneity (services are unique and difficult to standardize) (e.g., Zeithaml, Parasuraman and Berry 1985) cause of that international trade in services witnessed discernible increase in the last two decades. According to the World Trade Organization (WTO) for the year 2013 the global services exports accounted for about one-fourth of total world exports, that is, US$4.7 trillion. It is interesting to note that this growth in services trade is the reverberation of technological advancement and improvements in telecommunication infrastructure (Banga & Kumar, 2010; Saez & Goswami, 2010) By using Nusantara project, couple of Indonesian companies are already built a partnership with the groups of Indonesian or overseas college students to exporting the company on international market.

The advantages and disadvantages of enterprises entering the international market after Ukraine's accession to the World Trade Organization are considered. The impact of the biodiversity strategy until 2030, adopted by the European Commission, on the activities of domestic agri-food enterprises, the competitiveness of their products on the international market and stimulating the production of environmentally friendly products has been studied. The main Ukrainian exporters of agricultural products on the European agricultural market and the rating of the main demanded goods are studied. The article deals with the features of the Russian policy of agriculture support in comparison with the EU and the US policies. Comparative analysis is held considering the scales and levels of collective agriculture support, sources of supporting means, levels and mechanisms of support of agricultural production manufacturers, its consumers, agrarian infrastructure establishments, manufacturers and consumers of each of the principal types of agriculture production. The author makes an attempt to estimate the consequences of Russia’s accession to the World Trade Organization based on a hypothesis that this will result in unification of the manufacturers and consumers’ protection levels in Russia with the countries that have long been WTO members.

The World Trade Organization (WTO), established on 1 January 1995 as a successor to the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT), has played an important role in promoting global free trade. The implementation of its agreements, however, has not been smooth and easy. In fact this has been particularly difficult for developing countries, since they are expected to be on a level playing field with the developed countries. After more than a decade of existence, it is worth looking at the WTO’s impact on developing countries, particularly Muslim countries. This paper focuses mainly on the performance of merchandise trade of Muslim countries after they joined the WTO. I first analyze their participation in world merchandise trade and highlight their trade characteristics in general. This is then followed by a short discussion on the implications of WTO agreements on Muslim countries and some recommendations on how to face this challenge.
