This paper describes the specifics of the waste incineration boiler with natural circulation fueled with municipal waste. During operation, certain parts of the boiler are exposed to corrosion and erosion due to effect of particles from the flue gas stream at high temperature. Tests have been performed which include sediment and pipe damage after one year of boiler work. Chemical analysis of sediment samples was taken from the tubes was determined presence of NaCl and Fe compounds and share from 18 % organic substances in the presence of SO3.

The development of a mobile waste incineration plant designed for the recovery of garbage dumps located near towns and villages, from where the removal of garbage to the city to the incineration plant is not profitable due to the large remoteness of small settlements from the city. The installation has two combustion zones: in the 1st zone, the combustion process of solid municipal waste (MSW) is achieved at temperatures up to 600 °C, and in the second zone – up to 1200 °C. Afterburning of flue gas to reduce the formation of dioxins, furans and soot is provided.

All municipal waste incineration plants operating in Poland are discussed and their flue gas treatment systems are described in detail in the article. A comparison of performance indicators, i.e. the amount of raw materials consumed particularly in flue gas treatment systems, is presented. The article also summarizes the results of emission measurements for eight incineration plants in the years 2016–2019.

Abstract URANUS 52N is a nitrogen-alloyed duplex stainless steel improved in stress-corrosion cracking resistance and with pitting and crevice corrosion resistance better than AISI Type 317L. Applications include handling phosphoric acid contaminated with chlorides and in flue gas desulfurization scrubbers. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, and tensile properties. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, and joining. Filing Code: SS-566. Producer or source: Creusot-Marrel.
