With computer simulation approach and theoretical mechanics analysis approach, according to two kinds of the loop plays, the author studied and compared the state change laws of loop after colliding. The two kinds of results received in analysis are identical. The speed of high-speed loop slows down to some extent, but rotate is strengthened, and the speed of high-spin loop drive is accelerated, but rotate is weaken. The paper indicates that computer simulation technology can be applied to dynamics study and state measurement of table tennis, and it also has certain guidable meaning for practicing.

A simple computer simulation model that predicts airplane landing performance on runways to locate high-speed exits is presented. A Monte Carlo simulation algorithm and empirical heuristics derived from field observations were used to estimate landing-roll trajectories that can be programmed quickly in a personal computer. The modeling process demonstrates statistically the validity of treating landing-roll profiles of various airplane models individually to locate high-speed exits. The model developed can be applied to a variety of airports and airplane types and is offered as an alternative to conventional methods for locating high-speed exits as well as a complement to more rigorous optimization methods.

Statement of the problem. The heat exchange process occurring in a modified corrugated interplate channel of an intensified plate heat exchanger with an increased turbulence of the heat carrier is discussed. A computer model of the coolant movement in the speed range of 0.1-1.5 m/s is developed and the turbulence coefficient of the plate heat exchanger is determined. Results. The article presents the results of computer modeling of the coolant movement in the interplate corrugated channel of the original plate heat exchanger using the Ansys software package. The criteria of system stability are defined. 3D modeling of the channel formed by corrugated plates is performed. In the study of the process of turbulence several high-speed modes of movement of the coolant were considered. The turbulence coefficient Tu, % is determined. Conclusions. As a result of computer simulation, an increase in the heat transfer coefficient K, W/(m ℃) was found due to an increased turbulization of the flow, which leads to a decrease in metal consumption and a decrease in the cost of heat exchange equipment.

Stochastic simulation is widely applied for estimating the design flood of various hydrosystems. The design flood at a reservoir site should consider the impact of upstream reservoirs, along with any development of hydropower. This paper investigates and applies a stochastic simulation approach for determining the design flood of a complex cascade of reservoirs in the Longtan watershed, southern China. The magnitude of the design flood when the impact of the upstream reservoirs is considered is less than that without considering them. In particular, the stochastic simulation model takes into account both systematic and historical flood records. As the reliability of the frequency analysis increases with more representative samples, it is desirable to incorporate historical flood records, if available, into the stochastic simulation model. This study shows that the design values from the stochastic simulation method with historical flood records are higher than those without historical flood records. The paper demonstrates the advantages of adopting a stochastic flow simulation approach to address design-flood-related issues for a complex cascade reservoir system.

Tool edge preparation can improve the tool life, as well as cutting performance and machined surface quality, meeting the requirements of high-speed and high-efficiency cutting. In general, prepared tool edges could be divided into symmetric or asymmetric edges. In the present study, the cemented carbide tools were initially edge prepared through drag finishing. The simulation model of the carbide cemented tool milling steel was established through Deform software. Effects of edge form factor, spindle speed, feed per tooth, axial, and radial cutting depth on the cutting force, the tool wear, the cutting temperature, and the surface quality were investigated through the orthogonal cutting simulation. The simulated cutting force results were compared to the results obtained from the orthogonal milling experiment through the dynamometer Kistler, which verified the simulation model correctness. The obtained results provided a basis for edge preparation effect along with high-speed and high effective cutting machining comprehension.

A computer simulation approach for engineering air-jet spun yarns is proposed, and the advantages of computer simulations over experimental investigations and stand-alone mathematical models are discussed. Interactions of the following factors in air-jet spun yarns are analyzed using computer simulations: yarn count and fiber fineness, fiber tenacity and fiber friction, fiber length and fiber friction, and number of wrapper fibers and wrap angle. Based on the results of these simulations, yarn engineering approaches to optimize strength are suggested.
