Water quality has deteriorated in recent years in Shanghai, China. More species of hazardous organic contaminant have been discovered. In developed area such as Shanghai, water pollution is more and more severe. Water quality of rivers in Shanghai territory falls into category Ⅲ~IV, which does not meet drinking water source standard. Huangpu River, the mother river of shanghai native, which provides nearly 80% of the water supply for downtown Shanghai, is facing imminent severe water pollution problem.

Drinking water supply is essential for public health, quality of life, sustainable development of economic activity, and environmental protection. In this context, it is important to ensure continuous improvement of all stages of processes to guarantee water quality and safety [1]. Целью работы явилось обоснование необходимости организации и проведения на конкурсной основе благоустройства нецентрализованных водоисточников с использованием разработанной методики комплексной гигиенической и экологической оценки состояния нецентрализованных источников питьевого водоснабжения в условиях чрезвычайной ситуации. В работе использованы результаты многолетнего санитарно-гигиенического обследования и лабораторных исследований воды коллективных источников нецентрализованного питьевого водоснабжения. Определены следующие основные показатели для комплексной гигиенической и экологической оценки состояния нецентрализованных водоисточников: степень соответствия водоисточника установленным санитарно-гигиеническим и санитарно-техническим нормам и требованиям; соблюдение зон санитарной охраны; санитарно-просветительное, эстетическое и художественное оформление водоисточников; уровень благоустройства территории, окружающей водоисточники; качество воды водоисточников по результатам лабораторных исследований за определенный период. По каждому из пяти показателей предусмотрена оценка по 12-балльной шкале с последующим суммированием баллов с целью получения итогового результата комплексной оценки. Учитывая успешное проведение конкурса по благоустройству нецентрализованных источников водоснабжения с использованием разработанной методики комплексной гигиенической и экологической оценки состояния нецентрализованных источников питьевого водоснабжения в районе с резким дефицитом питьевой водопроводной воды, рекомендовано опыт проведения данного мероприятия распространить на другие административные территории, находящиеся в подобной ситуации. The work objective was substantiating the need to arrange and conduct, on a competitive basis, the improvement of non-centralized water sources using the developed methodology for a comprehensive hygienic and environmental estimation of the state of non-centralized sources of drinking water supply in an emergency. The work uses the results of many years of sanitary and hygienic survey and laboratory studies of water from communal sources of non-centralized drinking water supply. The following main indicators have been determined for a comprehensive hygienic and environmental estimation of the state of non-centralized water sources: the degree of compliance of the water source with the established sanitary, hygienic and sanitary technical regulations and requirements; compliance with the sanitary protection zones; the sanitary and educational, aesthetic and artistic design of water sources; the level of improvement of the territory surrounding the water sources; the water quality of the water sources according to the results of laboratory tests for a certain period. Each of the five indicators was estimated according to the 12-point grading scale with the subsequent summation of points in order to provide for the final result of a comprehensive estimation. Considering the successful holding of a competitive tender for the improvement of non-centralized water supply sources using the developed methodology for a comprehensive hygienic and environmental estimation of the state of non-centralized drinking water supply sources in an area with severe shortages of drinking tap water, extending the experience of these measures to other administrative territories in a similar situation is recommended.

So as In food water is very important after air, around 72% of earth surface is covered with water but among them only few percentage of source are available for drinking and other domestic purposed. Sub-Surface water is one of the most priceless naturally occurring things which balance human health and development of ecology. In this research find out safe drinking water source in Ghot village of Gadchiroli district. Also find determine chipset filtration process required other drinking water sources so that people from Ghot village are easily use this water for drinking and domestic purposed. With the help of sample analysis from different location of Ghot village are tested in laboratory and check with BIS and WHO standards. Water quality guidelines provide a threshold value for each parameter for drinking water. It is necessary that the quality of drinking water should be checked at regular time intervals, because due to the use of contaminated drinking water, the human population suffers from various water borne diseases. There are some parameters of drinking water quality parameters like World Health Organization (WHO) and Indian Standard IS 12500: 2012. The objectives of this study are to analyses the underground water quality of Ghot Village of Gadchiroli region by water quality index. In this research 11 sample point location were selected on five parameter which are essential for check for quality. Physico-chemical parameters such as PH, Turbidity, Total Hardness, Fluoride and Total Dissolved Solids collected different place like boar well, pond, River etc. In this study find out the range of water quality index so that treatment on water can be perform properly on respective drinking water source

Introduction. Until 2014, water supply in Sevastopol city and its municipal districts was combined due to its own surface and underground waters as well as a water conduit running from the Mezhgornoye reservoir located in the Saksky district and filled with the Dnieper waters of the North Crimean Canal. After 2014, this source was shut off. Therefore, it became important to conduct a comparative analysis of the quality of drinking water supplied to the settlements of this territorial entity. Purpose of the study: The study is aimed to assess the quality of drinking water and perform its analysis in Sevastopol city and nearby settlements, taking into account the increase in water intake from rivers and underground sources in recent years. Methods. Objects of the study are surface and underground water supply points, and drinking water for consumers. We used standard methods for the analysis of drinking water with an assessment of its physical, chemical and sanitary-bacteriological indicators using analysis of variance (AoV) methods. Water quality was assessed by the specific combinatorial index of water pollution. Using GIS technologies, maps were built to visualize a number of indicators: chemical oxygen consumption and data on the water pollution complexity coefficient at the stage when consumers receive water from the central water supply system (for all municipal districts). Results. It was established that sanitary and microbiological indicators of tap water quality — by the total microbial count, total coliform bacteria and thermo-tolerant coliform bacteria — immediately before being fed to the central water supply system in the Southern and Northern districts of Sevastopol, did not exceed sanitary standards. Due to the considerable length of the distribution networks and their high deterioration, secondary pollution of drinking water is currently taking place. In a number of municipal districts, it was revealed that the key indicators being assessed exceeded the norms of the State Sanitary Rules and Regulations. For the first time, with the help of GIS technologies in the ArcGis 10.4 software shell, specific ranks of drinking water pollution levels were distinguished for individual municipal districts, which made it possible to visualize the dynamic characteristics of polluting ingredients taking into account their territorial affiliation.

In 21 century, water quality problem is one of the most serious questions that effected human healthy and social development. In this context, it is necessary to evaluation water quality for drinking water. This is undoubtedly of great significance to human health and social stability. Based on the water monitoring and field surveys, this manuscript applied with “one-vote negation” method and eutrophic index evaluation method for two important urban drinking water resources in Beibei district, Chongqing. These two method were mainly depend on single water quality index which was indicated the worst one. And the results shower that: (1) evaluation by “one-vote negation” method, water quality of water resource D was satisfied with grade Ⅲ, and centralized water supply of J was meet with grade Ⅱ. (2)Eutrophication assessment on all water points indicate that the evaluation results of water quality is acceptable.

A review is presented of the development of the International Drinking Water Supply and Sanitation Decade (IDWSSD) launched in 1981 and terminated in 1990. Health aspects of drinking water quality in relation to chemical water contamination are investigated and an outlook to the future is presented as far as the tasks of water pollution control are concerned.
