In order to improve mixing quality of asphalt mixture, a method of theoretical analysis and test was used to analyze the effects of negative pressure of drying drum, geometric parameters of mixer and aggregate variation ratio in hot aggregate bins on the segregation of asphalt mixture. Reasonable measures of controlling segregation in the mixing process were given out. Research results indicate that stable negative pressure of drying drum reduce the temperature segregation of asphalt mixture by controlling temperature undulation of hot aggregate and reasonable arrangement of mixing blades cut down material segregation of asphalt mixture with adequate mixing. That isn’t all, delivery proportion of the aggregate in hot aggregate bins and mesh size of vibrating sieve, properly selected according to the gradation of cold aggregate, improve quality and efficiency of asphalt mixture with lower aggregate variation in hot aggregate bins.

The paper presents the research on the quality of thirteen-component granular mixture. The changes in the quality of the mixture after reduction the mixing time from a standard time of 30 minutes to: 25 minutes, 20 minutes and 15 minutes have been analyzed. The research has been conducted in industrial conditions where a vertical mixer with worm agitator with the charge of two tons was used. Research results were presented graphically as changes in concentration of components shares in the mixing time of 30, 25, 20 and 15 minutes and the obtained results were compared. Quality assessment of a thirteen-component mixture with the use of residual sum of squares for four mixing times was carried out.

This paper reports the results of an investigation on the use of oscillatory baffled column as a mixer for pulp bleaching. Unbleached hardwood kraft pulp was bleached using hydrogen peroxide. Variables studied were oscillation frequency, oscillation amplitude, and pulp consistency. The mixing process was achieved by oscillating pulp suspension in a periodically baffled column at a certain frequency and amplitude. The mixing quality of pulp bleaching was quantified using mixing index. The results showed that mixing quality improved with oscillation frequency and amplitude, but decreased with pulp consistency. This typical device is very promising as a mixer for pulp bleaching.

The article describes experience of creating and implementing information-managing educational environment at university. The model of creating information-managing educational environment of university with elements of artificial intelligence and indicative management is described. This environment contributes to improve quality of training and management of educational processes and resources. The stages of creating and implementing information-managing educational environment are considered systemically, as continuous process focused on a consumer. The inhibitory and facilitating conditions for introduction of the model at university are described. To provide subject-oriented approach to the use of information resources of environment, recommended clusters of information subsystems for each category of users are described.Practically implemented scientific and methodological recommendations for subjects of educational process to overcome resistance to innovations introduced in educational organizations are proposed.Features of adaptation of the developed information-managing educational environment for schools are presented.
