In this paper, axial compressive loading test and non-linear finite element analysis of 10 short composite-sectioned concrete filled steel tubular column specimens are introduced. The test results indicate that the failure modes of all the specimens are similar, the specimens have high axial compressive strength and large deformation capacity. The calculated axial compressive strength of the specimens, assuming that the circle steel tube provides the lateral confinement to the core concrete and the square steel tube provides compressive strength without contributing lateral confinement to the concrete, has good agreement with the measured strength. The vertical load-strain curves, the axial compressive strength and the failure mode obtained by the non-linear finite element analysis of specimens have good agreement with the test results.

The concrete-filed square steel tube with inner I-shaped CFRP profiles short columns under bi-axial eccentric load were investigated by the finite element analysis software ABAQUS. The working mechanism of the composite columns which is under bi-axial eccentric load are investigated by using the stress distribution diagram of steel tube concrete and the I-shaped CFRP profiles. In this paper, the main parameters; eccentric ratio, steel ratio, steel yield strength, concrete compressive strength and CFRP distribution rate of the specimens were investigated to know the mechanical behavior of them. The interaction between the steel tube and the concrete interface at different characteristic points of the composite columns were analyzed. The results showed that the ultimate bearing capacity of the concrete-filed square steel tube with inner I-shaped CFRP profiles short columns under bi-axial eccentric load decrease with the increase of eccentric ratio, the ultimate bearing capacity of the composite columns increase with the increase of steel ratio, steel yield strength, concrete compressive strength and CFRP distribution rate. The contact pressure between the steel tube and the concrete decreased from the corner zone to the flat zone, and the contact pressure decreased from the mid-height cross section to other sections.

Six reinforced concrete beams, including 4 beams strengthened with BFRP sheets at different layer of BFRP sheets and 2 control beams, are tested to investigate the effect of layer of BFRP sheets on the ultimate flexural resistance and load-deflection response of the pre-damaged concrete beams strengthened with BFRP sheets. Results show that the flexural resistance of pre-damaged concrete beams increases along with the BFRP sheets layer increasing, but the flexural resistance enhances the degree not to assume the linear relations to the enforcement layer.Numerical simulation of the pre-damaged concrete beams strengthened with BFRP sheets is conducted by ANSYS, and the results of numerical simulation are compared with those of the test results. It turns out that the results of numerical simulation are in good agreement with the test results.

18 different groups of hybrid fiber (steel fiber and polypropylene fiber) reinforced HPC deep beams and 2 groups of HPC deep beams without fiber were made. The shear tests under the static load and the numerical simulation by ABAQUS were conducted. Good agreement are found between test results and simulation results. The results of finite element analysis indicate that with the increment of reinforcement ratio, the shear capacity of hybrid fiber reinforced HPC deep beams increases, but quite limited. The variation of shear capacity of hybrid fiber reinforced HPC deep beams is not obvious as the shear-span ratio changes (when ) . The increment of span-depth ratio can improve the shear capacity of hybrid fiber reinforced HPC deep beams, but only with small amplitude. All these regularities are similar to those of ordinary reinforced concrete deep beams.

To realize axial load behavior of CFDST, ANSYS is used to analyze the process from load to destruction that hollow section ratio is the main variable parameter. To explore the validity of finite element analysis software, axial compressive strength is calculated combined with formulas of existing criterions. The results show the finite element results have a good agreement with text values and calculation.

In this study, based on the test of the high strength materials of steel-encased concrete composite continuous beam, the ultimate flexural capacity of 8 composite continuous beams are analyzed by using the finite element analysis software ABAQUS. Numerical results show that it is a very good agreement for the load-deflection curves which obtained by finite element method (FEM) and those by the test results, and the error control is less than 8.5%. When selecting and utilizing appropriate cyclic constitutive model, element model and failure criterion of high strength steel and high strength concrete, the accuracy of the calculation can be improved better.

Two different kinds of steel-encased concrete composite beam connected concrete filled low-cycle reversed loading. The test results indicate that the two joints both have higher bearing capacity, better ductility performance and seismic behavior. In order to theoretically analyze the joints force mechanism, the nonlinear finite element analysis (FEM) of the above two joints has been conducted by using the ANSYS program. According to the results of FEM, the hysteretic curves and the skeleton curves are deduced. And from the contrast between the test results and the finite element results on energy dissipation capacity and ductility, it indicates that the theoretical results and the experimental results are basically coincident. But the errors of them are occurred due to the difference of material constitutive model. The precision of the nonlinear finite element analysis of reinforced concrete is depending on the constitutive relation of concrete to a large extent.

The paper makes an analysis of the reinforced concrete beams with exterior FRP Shell in Finite Element, and compares it with the test results. The results show that, by means of this model, mechanical properties of reinforced concrete beams with exterior FRP shell can be predicted better. However, the larger the load, the larger deviation between calculated values and test values. Hence, if more accurate calculation is required, issues of contact interface between the reinforced concrete beams and the FRP shell should be taken into consideration.
