As the RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technologies developing fast, it is used widely on application domain nowadays. The UML model design for Data Access Layer (DAL), Business Logic Layer (BLL), and Service Layer are introduced in detail. The SOA architecture selected for the access management system design is applied for the service program and integrated into Web service applications. The MyEclipse 8.5 and MySQL5.0 database are opted to be the development environment. The C/S design pattern is used to achieve data collection from RF tag and store the synchronization service program. Furthermore, the godown entry and the outbound order are automatically produced respectively. On the other hand, the B/S model is selected for Web services applications.

Due to the universal problems of the cotton seed quality, the traceability management system for the cotton seed quality and safety based on RFID is described in this article, which uses RFID technology as the basic technical means. Each RFID tag is affixed to the package of cotton seeds. The information of cotton seed is written into the RFID tag. The RFID tags are used to trace the entire of the cotton seed, which guarantees the authenticity and reliability of the cotton seed information and ensures the quality and safety of cotton products. The system is developed through the Visual Studio 2010 as the development environment, and SQL Server 2008 is employed to develop the database.

Purpose – To prevent malpractices, medical staff has adopted inventory time-outs and/or checklists. Accurate inventory and maintenance of surgical instruments decreases the risk of operating room miscounting and malfunction. In our previous study, an individual management of surgical instruments was accomplished using Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tags. The purpose of this paper is to evaluate a new management method of RFID-tagged instruments. Design/methodology/approach – The management system of RFID-tagged surgical instruments was used for 27 months in clinical areas. In total, 13 study participants assembled surgical trays in the central sterile supply department. Findings – While using the management system, trays were assembled 94 times. During this period, no assembly errors occurred. An instrument malfunction had occurred after the 19th, 56th, and 73th uses, no malfunction caused by the RFID tags, and usage history had been recorded. Additionally, the time it took to assemble surgical trays was recorded, and the long-term usability of the management system was evaluated. Originality/value – The system could record the number of uses and the defective history of each surgical instrument. In addition, the history of the frequency of instruments being transferred from one tray to another was recorded. The results suggest that our system can be used to manage instruments safely. Additionally, the management system was acquired of the learning effect and the usability on daily maintenance. This finding suggests that the management system examined here ensures surgical instrument and tray assembly quality.

Considering ship through lock in river management problems, radio frequency identification was introduced into track work in ship running process for ship through lock, proposed a ship through lock management system design way in river based RFID. Thus visualized and digitalized management of ship through lock were realized. Analysis the focus of the system that basic components and function were characterized by its favorable openness and extensibility, the last of the analysis ship through lock fully automated management method on the basis of internet in river. This method has finished ship through lock procedure in river to not stop bank, serves convenience shortcut, has broad prospects.

Using GIS(Geographic Information System), GPS(Global Positioning System), GPRS(General Packet Radio Service) and RFID(Radio Frequency Identification), an intelligent control mining management system in an open pit has been designed and developed. A linear programming model is set up in a practical application. By the model, the system can automatically draw up production plan of ore blending well every day. The system can monitor and dispatch open-pit trucks and shovels well, and can play back their historical paths. It can monitor and control the process of mining production in real time. By RFID, The system can also count the number of trucks’ delivery and shovels’ loading automatically. Experiments on real scenes show that the performance of this system is stable and can satisfy production standards of ore blending in open pits.

With the innovation of new technologies, many life concepts have been changed. However, libraries remain the same in many sides while the main role of libraries has been changed and new references may not need a classical library as it was 50 years ago. In the same time, library services can be improved using Internet of Things (IoT) to increase user satisfactions. In recent years, there has been arisen in the diversity of implementation based on radio-frequency identification (RFID) systems and has been successfully utilized in several areas such as health care and transportation. RFID-based library management system will let rapid transaction flow for the library and could prove instant and long-term benefits to library in traceability and security. To solve the problem that it is inconvenient to find references in the traditional library, a kind of reference positioning system using RFID technology is designed to achieve fast search references in the library. Searching and sorting misplaced references are a hard task often carried out by the librarians. In this paper, the performance of RFID reader motion and tags allows fast transaction flow and easily handling the process like references borrowing from library can be done using RFID technology and users will get notified using Global System for Mobile. Two big issues have been exposed and tried to find the best solution for them, first is the management process of any library, from user management to shelving system and the second one is the data and reference security. The results show that the system can quickly find the references that bookworms hid, and the references are not timely put back on the shelves. Furthermore, the new library hall design and IoT-based system improve the security.

<p class="0abstract"><span lang="EN-US">One of the primary concerns of the World Health Organization is the improvement of medical care by reducing adverse events in the medication process and enhancing the safety of patients. These issues are mainly related to the management of expensive and high-risk medicines in hospitals. In this paper, we enhanced medication management by minimizing the possibility of medication errors from its prescription-validation to its preparation. For this purpose, we designed a hospital and pharmacy services management system by employing digital signature using Radio Frequency IDentification technology. Our proposed system is equipped with ESP8266 modules, RFID readers and tags which allow the detection of taking medications and ensures an automated medication management. </span></p>
