This paper presents a method that can achieve the centralized management, unified monitoring and interactivity throughout the network for monitoring equipments of different manufacturers. This method achieves the automatic detection and extraction of different monitoring equipments communication protocols by capturing and analyzing the network packet. And it also achieves dynamic self-adaptive adjustment of resolution and flow-speed of audio and video data by dynamic analysis. The design implements a software system of distributed heterogeneous network and remote video surveillance, and achieves remote centralized management of video surveillance equipment which not provides compatible development kits.

Depending on the actual demand of maritime security, this paper analyzes the specific requirements of video encryption algorithm for maritime monitoring system. Based on the technology of Internet of things, the intelligent monitoring system of unmanned surface vessels (USV) is designed and realized, and the security technology and network technology of the Internet of things are adopted. The USV are utilized to monitor and collect information on the sea, which is critical to maritime security. Once the video data were captured by pirates and criminals during the transmission, the security of the sea will be affected awfully. The shortcomings of traditional algorithms are as follows: the encryption degree is not high, computing cost is expensive, and video data is intercepted and captured easily during the transmission process. In order to overcome the disadvantages, a novel encryption algorithm, i.e., the improved Hill encryption algorithm, is proposed to deal with the security problems of the unmanned video monitoring system in this paper. Specifically, the Hill algorithm of classical cryptography is transplanted into image encryption, using an invertible matrix as the key to realize the encryption of image matrix. The improved Hill encryption algorithm combines with the process of video compression and regulates the parameters of the encryption process according to the content of the video image and overcomes the disadvantages that exist in the traditional encryption algorithm and decreases the computation time of the inverse matrix so that the comprehensive performance of the algorithm is optimal with different image information. Experiments results validate the favorable performance of the proposed improved encryption algorithm.

As people for the need on more security, traditional fixed video surveillance cannot satisfied with people’s varying requirements. This paper demonstrates the framework of a set of mobile video surveillance which support CDMA2000/TD-SCDMA/WCDMA network, RTP protocol is chosen as the transport protocol and H.264 is chosen as the video compression standard. Select RTCP protocol gather packet loss fraction parameter that controls the transmission rate of RTP traffic. We analyze RTP/RTCP protocol and media data transmission process in video surveillance system; discuss the current video transmission method in video surveillance system, the problem of packet loss while transporting video data, and extract packet process of RTP packet.

Among the digital monitoring system, MPEG4 encoding compression technology and embedded technologies are widely used, chemical embedded MPEG4 video surveillance system has a broad market prospect and highly advanced technology. In this paper, the MPEG coding standards and on the basis of analysis of the characteristics, given a set of MPEG4 video surveillance system design, and implementation are integrated MPEG4 exposition, after the actual chemical application shows that the system performance stable, real good, do not need to assign someone to manage, scalability is also very good.

Video surveillance has been playing an important role in public safety and privacy protection in recent years thanks to its capability of providing the activity monitoring and content analyzing. However, the data associated with long hours surveillance video is huge, making it less attractive to practical applications. In this paper, we propose a low complexity, yet efficient scalable video coding solution for video surveillance system. The proposed surveillance video compression scheme is able to provide the quality scalability feature by following a layered coding structure that consists of one or several enhancement layers on the top of a base layer. In addition, to maintain the backward compatibility with the current video coding standards, the state-of-the-art video coding standard, i.e., High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC), is employed in the proposed coding solution to compress the base layer. To satisfy the low complexity requirement of the encoder for the video surveillance systems, the distributed coding concept is employed at the enhancement layers. Experiments conducted for a rich set of surveillance video data shown that the proposed surveillance - distributed scalable video coding (S-DSVC) solution significantly outperforms relevant video coding benchmarks, notably the SHVC standard and the HEVC-simulcasting while requiring much lower computational complexity at the encoder which is essential for practical video surveillance applications.

Electric power automation system can also be called telecontrol system, while video monitoring technology is one of the key of video compression and coding technology. In view of the actual situation of video signal remote transmission, high compression rate and good quality standard should be considered and chosen in priority. This paper analyzes the h.264 standard code rate control method and proposes jump frame judgment criterion based on MAD ratio. Furthermore, it elaborates the contrast test results between the jump frame algorithm and the previous algorithm. Telecontrol video monitoring system should be based on digital video recorder optimization (DVR) design and video monitoring system integrated communication design, which can guarantee the transmission quality of electric power remote data and video data. This paper discusses the main functions of the video management system and the design scheme of the software system.

In order to solve data lack of underground water research and monitoring situation, a wide range underground water lever dynamic information monitoring network system was designed. Remote monitoring terminal based on the techniques of embedded and wireless transmission monitored the change of underground water level; Monitoring analysis center based on the JAVA technology of B/S architecture was designed to inquiry the real-time data,set parameter and analyze data, etc. An approximate water level point was obtained by adopting the modified small period prediction model and the weight distribution method. This enhances reliability of monitored data. By utilizing the technology of GPRS wireless data transmission and Ethernet technology, a remote and real-time data transmission channel was build. Large area application in Shanxi Province shows that the system has the stable performance and the reasonable structure. System can provide long-term reliable data for underground water research.

A SSNS (simple sensor network sniffer) is used to analyze and evaluate the Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) effectively. SSNS is designed to monitor IEEE 802.15.4 protocol frame, which based on the Ethernet. Unlike the existed monitoring system, our design is much simpler and needs less resource. It is analyzed in this paper that the monitor network framework, time synchronization, and analysis program design. The results show that SSNS works stably, and can real-time display the frame monitored and reflect the dynamic change of WSN.
