Through the hot pressing compound adhesive technology of synthesis of the Novel Synthetic Materials "Artificial Water-Purifying Plant" (AWPP) which is made of polyester fiber non-woven fabrics and Cross-linked polyethylene bubble. Material production process, principle and characteristics of AWPP are introduced in the article. From the different concentration of water purification contrast test, analysis of the material in ascension water purification system processing power play a role. The results indicate that AWPP have technologies advantages of qualitative light, corrosion resistance, buoyancy, more specific surface area, microbial attachment than large amount, form quickly microbial membrane and so on. To different concentrations of water quality of different pollutants index, it can effectively improve water purification effect 18%-40%, and use of low cost, market broad prospect of application.

The aim of this project is to develop a low-cost water purification system that provides clean drinking water. The project has a broad reach since drinking water pollution is a big global problem. This device would provide a solution to contaminated drinking water. Electric current is used to power the purifier during the water treatment process, reducing fluoride, chloride, and increasing the pH content of salty water, resulting in potable drinking water. To achieve this aim, a project management plan has been devised that divides the tasks amongst the community. The ultimate goal of designing this project is to provide clean drinking water at a low cost. The aim of this project is to develop and build a small-scale water purification system that needs little maintenance and is inexpensive. Initially, solar power would be used to power the purification system and to transition the system to renewable energy.

The need for personal and potable water treatment devices has evolved from consumer interest in improving and ensuring the quality of drinking water. Such devices are especially useful to hikers and campers who often must use available surface water supplies. A portable iodinated water purification system was evaluated for the ability to inactivate/remove Klebsiella terrigena, poliovirus type 1, rotavirus SA-11 and Cryptosporidium oocysts under a variety of different water quality conditions: <1.0-10mg/L total organic carbon, turbidity <1-30NTU and total dissolved solids 200-1,500mg/L. The units were tested at room temperature and 4°C. The results showed that the system can achieve a geometric average removal of 6 log10 for Klebsiella terrigena, 4 log10 for poliovirus type 1 and rotavirus SA-11, and 3 log10 of Cryptosporidium oocysts.

In order to supply the water for laying hens farm in Kubu Cubadak Simpang Petai, the service team from University of Riau has designed a water purification system using the filtration technique. Before designing the filtration, sample of water from the well around the farm is taken and analyzed in the laboratory. Based on this result, the filtration is characterized to get the water satisfying the needs of the farm. There are two tubs in the filtration system containing silica sand, zeolite, and active carbon. Water from the well is pumped to the tank with three-meter height. From there, water is pumped back again to the tube to get the optimal water flow. The quality of water from the filtration have enhancement in terms of color, turbidity, and pH. The color and turbidity of water are improved from 41 NTU to 0 NTU and from 22,5 NTU to 5,59 NTU, respectively. Furthermore, there is an increasing in pH of water, from 5,44 to 6,32. These results have fulfilled the standard for laying hens farm.

To remove residual amounts of pharmaceutical compounds present in drinking water, a variety of purification methods based on various physicochemical principles can be used at all stages of water treatment. The paper presents the results of an experimental study of the efficiency of removing residual concentrations of pharmaceuticals – laevomycetin antibiotic (chloramphenicol) and estrone steroid hormone – from a model solution prepared on the basis of tap water with the addition of drugs, using a home fixed water purification system. It is shown that the home water purification system provides for the significant reduction of residual concentrations of chloramphenicol and estrone throughout the service life declared by the manufacturer. In the household water purification sector, adsorption-type units are still the most in-demand type of water purification systems that provide for the high efficiency in removing various pollutants with minimal capital costs.
