In the process of coal production in China, people's unsafe behaviour is the main factor in the system safety. Therefore, the key work in the safety management of coal mine enterprises is reducing or eliminating the unsafe behaviour of people. To solve the injury problems of coal mine enterprises and achieve intrinsic safety, we must carry out effective safety training and management so that employees can transform from the "want me to safety" to "I want safety", make safety management active in coal mine production and achieve fundamental safe production. How to train the ability of "independent safety" should be said that a new direction, the traditional way often emphasis on instilling knowledge and skills training. To stimulate employees' awareness of "I want safety" is still a difficult problem which has no system method and theory yet. This paper aims to study these questions and try to provide some new methods and ideas to improve coal mine safety training.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to devise novel methods for effectively reducing China’s coal mining accidents via analysis of the relation between coal mine safety production and social factors. Design/methodology/approach The variations and characteristics of the safety production for coal mines in China from 1949 to 2013 are studied via induction and statistical analysis of data from the perspective of mortality rate per million tons, raw coal output and death tolls. It is analyzed that the relationship between coal mine safety production level and social economic, safety investment via SPSS. Findings Analysis of the coal mine safety management evolution across the 64 years after the founding of China demonstrates that China’s coal mine safety management evolution is partitioned into four stages, and there is the coupling relation between coal mine safety production and structure the of coal industry, government supervision and safety investment. By discussing the similarity between China and America in coal mine safety management evolution, it is found that the rapid increase in the number of accidents during the transformation from agricultural to industrial society is not accidental. Practical implications The suggestions in this paper are helpful to improve the current safety situation in China’s coal mines and provide management experience to other coal mining countries. Originality/value Based on present and future socioeconomic development, it is proposed that the coal mine safety situation can be further enhanced by properly adjusting the structure of the coal industry, strengthening supervision and ensuring safety investment.

In recent years, China's coal industry accidents occur frequently, seriously affect the development of the coal industry, for the job site in the coal mine monitoring system installed several monitoring of coal mine production equipment to ensure safety and reliable operation of equipment. However, a plurality of building monitoring system meets some problems, such as reducing the waste of resources and production costs, and improve the level of safety management, the use of embedded technology designed S3c2440 based multi-protocol converter, prompting the original coal use different protocols and applications compatible with a variety of monitoring systems, monitoring of information data seamless transfer and access into the Ethernet switch, the status of the mine production equipment is transferred to the centralized control center for centralized management. This paper will be based on coal mine multi-protocol converter design S3c2440 detailed analysis and research.

Recent advances in coal mine safety training based on virtual reality in China are explored and reviewed according to the researches and papers in the last ten years, and the drawbacks in them are figured out, with some suggestions for further researches being given. A brief survey on the research contents is carried out with time as the clue in the first place, illustrating that more and more investigations and researches have been done over time. And then such issues as main research outlines, theories and algorithms, software and tools, and extent of achievement, are reviewed respectively. The drawbacks in these researches are that they are somewhat repetitive, too much contents and relatively superficial in one project, more geological modeling but less intelligent, lacking of high realistic and advanced system, and so on. We suggest that more attention should be paid to the following aspects: 1) More intelligent functions instead of just simple demonstrating and roaming; 2) studying and developing Coal Mine Safety Training Engine Based on Virtual Reality (CMSTEVR) by concentrating core strength, in order to reduce the large amount of elementary work such as geological modeling, etc; 3) Breaking through the real-time barrier of the accurate and complex calculations, and solving the integration and fusion issues between these kinds of calculations and VR software; 4) Developing Coal Mine Safety Training System by utilizing the most advanced and powerful Game Engine.

Enterprise safety management is centralized through scientific means, enhancing efficiency of safety management, which is an inevitable trend of safe production. Taking GT coal mine as an example, we propose identifying possible risk factors during the production process by systematic risk identification and establishing the risk information database. We should use risk information database to build a safety risk information system and produce a variety of risk management and control tools according to the actual needs of the company. We can realize dynamic management, standardize enterprise risk management and reduce accidents through continuous improving and upgrading the risk information database, which can finally achieve the healthy development of coal industry.
