Ensuring high quality of service (QoS) of multicast video stream over next generation network is a challenging issue, and how to implement the wire-speed multicast with hardware logical support in the network nodes of every hierarchy is a key solution to achieve high QoS multicast. Currently, the multicast packets are processed in this way, in which they are copied and then scheduled by ports, lastly, sent respectively. But this approach cannot ensure high QoS in real-time applications. Moreover, the traditional hardware solutions do not possess excellent large-scale scalability owning to their own bottlenecks. In this project, we have constructed a wire-speed multicast switching structure based on Multipath Self-routing Switching Structure, and implemented it on a Stratix IV FPGA chip. Additionally, we have designed the signaling system and control mechanism to support the process of self-routing and wire-speed fan-out copy of multicast packets.

Flowering induction and control is a limiting factor when commercially producing cut flowers of lisianthus and seed exposure to low temperatures, a physiological event called vernalization, induces the differentiation of vegetative buds to reproductive buds, contributing to a flowering that is uniform and has quality. The objective of this study was to evaluate the influence of seed vernalization in three cultivars of lisianthus (Excalibur, Echo and Mariachi) for 12, 24, 36 and 48 days at temperatures of 5, 10 and 15°C, in the production and quality of buds, making this technology feasible to large-scale production. During cultivation it was observed that the lower the temperature and higher the vernalization period, the lower the cycle and the greater the number of plants induced to flowering for all three cultivars, and those are important features in the context of flower production in a commercial scale. The seeds subjected to vernalization originated plants that produce flower stems within the standards required by the market, showing that vernalization was efficient to induce flowering without affecting the quality of the buds. To produce lisianthus as a cut flower of quality, it is recommended seed vernalization of Mariachi and Echo cultivars for 24 days at 5°C and Excalibur for 36 days at 5°C.

The paper considers the solution to the problem of distributed voltage regulation in Smart Grid System. It takes into consideration the conflict of interests of companies included in the generation network and consumers of electricity. The paper presents an innovative method of demand side management which can be used for controlling the quality of electricity optimization of consumption and conservation of electric power in distribution grids of low voltage class; to start a service of voltage regulation to the consumers in the parts of the grid adjoining to the nodes of generation; to develop the grid and realize the regulation of the voltage by the network companies during load and generation active behavior. The decentralized regulation of voltage is supposed to be the basic organization principal which uses local information and control actions. The control of the facilities of voltage regulation is performed via the artificial intelligence (expert systems).

This paper does some researches on the framework and control mechanism of traction and take-up system of Loom, which keep the winding tension constant. A traction and take-up control model using fuzzy neutral network adaptive PID algorithm is designed. The results prove this model is available in constant tension control system. The constant tension control system makes traction and take-up system operate more precisely and improves the quality of fabric.

Welding is an significant link in industrial production, and it is known as the "industrial tailor". However, welding fume, arc light, and metal spatter cause a harsh welding working environment, and the quality of welding has a decisive influence on product quality. Low production capacity, difficult recruitment, and low profits have become drawbacks for the development of the welding field. Combining traditional welding with robots can solve these drawbacks and increase the precision of welding. Welding robots are industrial robots engaged in welding and are mostly used in large-scale manufacturing fields such as automobile manufacturing. Welding robots are divided into spot welding robots, arc welding robots and laser welding robots. In addition, body accuracy and control accuracy are the two main factors that affect the robot welding accuracy. In this case, the sensing technology of welding robot is also essential.

With the development of networks and wideband technology, Next Generation Network (NGN) evolves into integrated transmission network of the multimedia information which including data, voice, image, the real-time tasks, etc. The traditional IP network provides only "best-effort" service and cannot meet the needs of multi-media applications and the different demands of a variety of users for network transmission quality. On the basis of a detailed analysis to Differentiated service (DiffServ) model and the characteristics of MPEG-4 encoding, the QoS control strategy of video streaming in NGN is proposed. That is a QoS control strategy which uses priority of Inter-Frame combining with DiffServ model in network congestion. Simulation and testing results show that the strategy can improve the transmission quality of the video stream effectively in the case of limited bandwidth.

In order to meet the extensibility and flexibility requirement of next generation network, ForCES working group of IETF proposes an architecture with the separation of Forwarding Element and Control Element. A firewall with ForCES architecture will have enough flexibility on security function extensibility. This paper not only designs the ForCES architecture of status package inspection firewall and related LFB (Logic Functional Block), but also implements a prototype system and carries out tests and analysis. The experiment result testifies the feasibility of ForCES specification and provides the important technical parameter for the ForCES security application.
