Design of Automatic Control System for Casting Equipment Based on PLC

In order to improve the level of automation of small and medium-sized casting enterprise, the automatic control system for casting equipment based on PLC is designed. It uses SIEMENS PLC226 as the core control unit to complete the following processes [: 1).Automatically goes fetching molten iron from induction melting furnace. 2).Automatically positioning casting holes and casting molten iron of setting weight into them. The system uses the laser ranging sensor to position casting holes according to the distance between casting position and the ground, and the weight of molten iron is measured by the weighing sensor. The system uses SIEMENS-TP170B touch screen as upper computer to set and display relevant parameters. After repeated experiments, the design has met the requirements: precise positioning, reliable weighing and automatic casting.

To implement the new generation thermo mechanical control process (NG-TMCP), the automatic control system of ultra fast cooling (UFC) was developed by combined with the renovation project of controlled cooling system in one plate production line. This system was composed of basic automation subsystem and process automation subsystem. As the main control unit of the basic automatic control system, a S7400 PLC system is used to control the UFC device and to achieve the chain control between the UFC system and the mill system. While the process control system is to realize the automatical setting of the cooling schedule by the developed finite element temperature field model and the temperature homogeneity model. The industry application shows that the NG-TMCP which is based on the UFC can reduce the alloy content effectively and implement the low-cost reduction produce of high-grade products.

Abstract Relevance of the study is associated with reduced energy intensity of the process heat demand by improving the systems and control algorithms of automatic energy management in buildings. This paper presents a system for power management of individual modules with interaction via the Ethernet, allowing measuring the qualitative and quantitative performance of network communication protocols of different levels of performance monitoring in real time. The difference of the developed intellectual automatic control system consisting of separate modules with interaction via the Ethernet, there is no separation devices for simple and intelligent - all the devices are intelligent, the controller is a separate module, and its functions are performed by the control unit.

The rolling mill is a kind of mechanical equipment which rolls steel ingot or billet continuously into steel. This paper selected 1150 blooming mill as research subject. In order to realize the automatic control of 1150 blooming mill, hydraulic screw-down devices and the automatic control system of hydraulic screw-down position are used, and Siemens PLC is chose as the control system's main control unit. Then industrial control technologies are used, such as DC digital controller, touch screen, photoelectric-interrupter type position sensor.

In this paper, making application of configuration software KingView6.52 and PLC in tailing cementation-filling automatic control system for an example, introduces the software configuration and hardware configuration of the system, details of the design of the control system and develops friendly monitoring interfaces using KingView6.52.The upper computer communicates with PLC by PROFIBUS and realizes remote control.

An automatic control system is developed for a rolling shear line in this paper in order to overcome the weakness of the traditional control system. All of motion mechanisms are driven by alternating current motors. The S7-300 PLC is selected as the control unit. And the PROFIBUS-DP field bus is employed to structure a distributed control system. Automatic cutting to length is realized. The rolling shear line has some merits such as high efficiency and precision, low cost and energy consummation ensured by the control system. The control system is reliable and flexible.
