With constantly expansion of companies, more and more woks on communication become the managers’ top issue. It is urgent to use computer technology to improve work efficiency and achieve of information sharing as much as possible. The managers need a platform to keep their information updated real-time, statistics tasks information at any necessary times, and the staff also need platform to record the task process, make schedule to alarm. Therefore, ASP.NET-based task management information system is designed and implemented. The system is developed with Visual Studio 2005 and SQL Server 2005, including task management module, file management module, schedule management module and background management module. With running in practical, it is proved that the system improved working efficiency greatly and implemented work information sharing effectively..

Department of IT M&T PT. Pertamina UPMS V Surabaya has currently implemented a management guideline based on COBIT 5.0 to support the process of monitoring and scheduling projects that will be implemented or currently being worked on PT. Pertamina UPMS V Surabaya. But in the process of implementing management guidelines, the department of IT M&T has not maximized the implementation of the monitoring and scheduling because it does not yet have a project management information system application. So far employees from the department of IT M&T use the process of monitoring and scheduling projects manually, namely by making a report in the form of an excel file for each progress of the projects. Of course, this is considered inefficient and often encounters human errors. Therefore, a web-based project management information system application was made, the application was built using the C3 programming language and Microsoft SQL Server database. Based on observation, it was concluding that the features available in the project management information system application had been running well and were able to meet the needs of users.

Abstract. Nowadays, hotel industry become a business that very interested for many people that can manage the hotel asset very well, in order to giving faster and satisfy services. Every process in Mahkota hotel still manage manually, and this condition require more time and effort. Beside that also cause some human error. To overcome this problem, Mahkota hotel needs management information system that can control information asset management in a hotel, so it can minimalize human error. Beside that, management information system can make easier and faster the process of displaying information become more effective and efficient. Mahkota hotel information system is built by using Microsoft Visual Basic  as programming language and database SQL server. Information system has some feature, such as to manage activity in  front office and back office. It hoped can increase and improve the hotel management, so it can giving the best services.Keywords: information system, management, hotelAbstrak. Dunia bisnis dibidang perhotelan memang cukup menjanjikan bagi orang-orang yang mampu mengelola hotel tersebut dengan baik. Begitu pula yang terjadi pada hotel Mahkota, dimana semua proses pengelolaan masih ditangani secara manual yang menyita banyak waktu dan tenaga serta memungkinkan terjadinya banyak kesalahan. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, diperlukan sistem informasi manajemen yang mampu mengontrol pengelolaan aset informasi yang terjadi di hotel, sehingga dapat meminimalkan kesalahan akibat penanganan yang masih manual. Sistem informasi hotel Mahkota yang dibuat menggunakan Microsoft Visual Basic sebagai bahasa pemrograman serta menggunakan database SQL server sebagai penampung data. Sistem informasi ini memiliki beberapa fitur yang dapat memudahkan aktifitas pengelolaan informasi di hotel Mahkota, antara lain aktifitas front office dan back office. Dengan adanya sistem ini, diharapkan mampu meningkatkan manajemen yang baik, sehingga tercipta hotel dengan pelayanan yang lebih baik.Kata Kunci: Sistem informasi, manajemen, perhotelan.

It’s necessary for surveying and mapping departments to manage aerial surveying digital data. How to manage increasing data automatically has become an urgent problem to be settled.The framework designing of the aerial digital data management information system is deeply dissertated and discussed in this paper. Then the system based on two-tier C/S structured model, using the Borland's Delphi development tool, Microsoft’s SQL Server 2000 ultra-large databases and SuperMap Objects graphical components is established, using parts of present data collecting from the aerial photographic surveying department.Compared with traditional systems, this aerial digital data management system has a good nature.It realize the automation management and operation easily.

Abstract: Utilization of computer technology in data processing processing of Balai Pengelolaan Daerah Aliran Sungai in BPDAS Kota Padang still no. All still done manually so that in making the report requires precision and a long time. Therefore, the researcher builds a watershed management information system in BPDAS Kota Padang using Visual BasicNet 2012 programming language. By utilizing computerized system is expected to assist the processing of data management of watersheds in BPDAS Padang so that it can produce fast information , precise and accurate. Keywords: information system, data processing, Balai Pengelolaan Daerah Aliran Sungai Abstrak: Pemanfaatan teknologi komputer dalam proses pengolahan data balai pengelolaan daerah aliran sungai di BPDAS Kota Padang masih belum ada. Semua masih dilakukan secara manual sehingga dalam pembuatan laporan membutuhkan ketelitian dan waktu yang cukup lama. Oleh sebab itu, peneliti membangun suatu sistem informasi pengelolaan daerah aliran sungai di BPDAS Kota Padang dengan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman Visual Basic Net 2012. Dengan memanfaatkan sistem komputerisasi diharapkan dapat membantu proses pengolahan data pengelolaan daerah aliran sungai di BPDAS Kota Padang sehingga dapat menghasilkan informasi yang cepat, tepat dan akurat. Information sharing is a vital component of unified planning among multiple agencies performing varied tasks and activities toward effective emergency response, which promotes effective coordination. Insufficient information sharing and ineffective coordination among organizations during a disaster response creates a bottleneck in need of urgent resolution to effect preparedness. Building a highly effective emergency management information system would help to solve this problem. Modern information technology processing techniques have produced tools and approaches for information sharing across multiple agencies. However, Chinese and international scholars who study the multi-agency unified response systems of various countries have found that such systems are not in practice. This study took a socio-technical system perspective to analyze the characteristics of emergency response organizations and tasks involved in the response to the 2008 Wenchuan (China) earthquake as a case study. Existing problems and possible causes were analyzed from system and technology perspectives to identify possible resolutions to problems in cross-organizational information sharing and coordination that would improve the quality and speed of information sharing and coordination among multiple agencies. The results suggest a basic theoretical approach for the analysis and design of an open, cross-organizational relief management information system that can efficiently and effectively respond to large-scale disasters.

Local Economic Development is at the epicentre of South Africa’s growth, and government is emphasising its implementation in policies, strategies and developmental goals of the country. Therefore, different government institutions, private sector entities, civil society organisations and even communities have been tasked with the implementation of Local Economic Development in their local areas. However, in reviewing the implementation processes, there is evidence of a lack of information sharing amongst all respective stakeholders as well as information quality constraints relating to relevant, accurate and up-to-date information regarding Local Economic Development implementation. The research in this paper undertook an exploratory approach aimed at identifying and establishing how a management information system can be customised to be used by all relevant Local Economic Development stakeholders within the province of KwaZulu-Natal and a framework was produced. A qualitative design was utilised through conducting 16 in-depth interviews with Local Economic Development managers from three government departments and district municipalities and one metropolitan municipality in KwaZulu-Natal and two development agencies. The overall findings of the paper revealed that there is currently no integrated management information system in place for Local Economic Development stakeholders to create, store and share critical information required for effective and efficient economic development practice. Results imply that such information sharing could, in turn, enhance Local Economic Development implementation in various ways if designed according to the needs of the users. Recommendations include each stakeholder to address internal-oriented data-management techniques for information management strategy or culture.

In this paper, we design and develop Vehicle License Plate Recognition (VLPR) System, which is one part of comprehensive video management platform for parking lot. Combined with intelligent video analysis module, the proposed VLPR system can not only capture the license plates of those vehicles through ENTRANCE and EXIT of parking lot, but also recognize the contents of the captured license plates. In addition, the driver and passenger in the front row of the vehicle can be captured too. The capture subsystem operates well on embedded Linux environment running on Hi3516 SoC chip, and test results of the VLPR system meet the requirements of accuracy and real-time field applications. The VLPR system is easy to expand and modified for other Management Information System to realize functions like personnel management, vehicle tracking, and more automatic and intelligent functions of parking lot management.

In order to solve the existing problems of power system infrastructure project management, through the summary of power engineering project management experience and lessons learned, and make use of modern computer technology, network technology, various kinds of information integration and processing, the paper constructs the infrastructure information management platform that can provides a wealth of necessary information for construction project decision makers. This paper designs a kind of electric power construction project management information system, design and presented the function module structure and its subsystems in this paper, and finally completes the system development. The function of this system meets the design requirements, to improve and standardize the project management of electric power engineering.
