Synthesis, Structure Characterization and Photocatalytic Property of a New 3-D Polyoxovanadate-Based Organic-Inorganic Hybrid Compound

A new polyoxovanadates-based organic-inorganic hybrid compound, [Cu(en)2]2[VV6VIV4O25] (1) has been hydrothermally synthesized and structurally characterized by the elemental analysis, and single crystal X-ray diffraction. Compound 1 consists of [Cu(en)2]2+transition metal coordination fragment and the [VV6VIV4O25]4-building blocks, which are linked together via covalently-bonding interactions to form a new 3-D networks. The degradation of rhodamine B (RhB) under UV-vis irradiation with 1 as the heterogeneous photocatalyst has been investigated, showing a good photocatalytic property of 1 for RhB degradation.

A 1-D chain-like POM - based organic-inorganic hybrid compound with the chemical formula of [Ni (en)2]{[Ni (en)2]2[Mo8V8O40(VO4)]}[(NH2)2(C2H4)2NH]2·2H2O (en = ethylenediamine) (1) has been hydrothermally synthesized and structurally characterized by the elemental analysis, and single crystal X-ray diffraction. Compound 1 consists of the bi-supported tetra-capped Keggin-type {[Ni (en)2]2[Mo8V8O40(VO4)]}2-building blocks and [Ni (en)2]2+metal organic cationic moieties are connected together to form 1-D chain through covelent-bonding interactions, which is further linked into 3-D supramolecular networks . The degradation of methylene blue (MB) under UV irradiation with 1 as the heterogeneous photocatalyst has been investigated, showing a good photocatalytic property of 1 for MB degradation.

AbstractA new copper(II)/lead(II) complex [(terpy)3CuPb5Br12] (1) (terpy = 2,2′:6′,2″-terpyridine) has been synthesized and characterized by IR, elemental analysis, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. The copper(II) and lead(II) ions in the title complex are in distorted six- (Cu(II), Pb(II)) and eight-fold (Pb(II)) coordination environments, in which the donor atoms are provided by bromide anions and nitrogen atoms of the 2,2′:6′,2″-terpyridine ligands. Complex 1 contains [(terpy)4Pb9Br20]2– building blocks. These bromoplumbate(II) clusters are connected by (terpy)2Cu2Br4 units along the crystallographic b axis and by PbBr6 units along the a axis, thereby forming an extended sheet structure.

A POM - based organice - inorganic hybrid compound with the chemical formula of[Cu (phen)2]3[W6O19] (phen = 1,10-phenanthroline) (1) has been hydrothermally synthesized andstructurally characterized by the elemental analysis, and single crystal X-ray diffraction. Compound 1 crystallizes in the monoclinic space groupC2/c witha=18.319(4) Å,b= 17.311(4) Å,c= 22.248(4) Å,β= 112.40(3) o,V= 6523(2) Å3,Z= 4, R1= 0.0448, andwR2=0.1218. Compound 1 consists of the [W6O19]3-building blocks and [Cu (phen)2]+metal organic cationic moieties, which are packed together via the extensive hydrogen-bonding interactions to form a three-dimensional supramolecular framework. The adsorption of methylene blue (MB) under UV irradiation with 1 as the heterogeneous adsorbent has been investigated, showing a good adsorptive property of 1 for MB degradation.

A new bi-capped Keggin heteropoly molybdovanadated derivative, [Co (en)3]2[SiMo8V6O42]∙6H2O (1) (en = ethylendiamine) has been hydrothermally synthesized and structurally characterized by the elemental analysis, IR, XPS and single crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal structure analysis reveals that compound 1 consists of [Co (en)3]2+transition metal coordination fragment and the [SiMo8V6O42]4-building blocks, which are linked together via hydrogen-bonding interactions to form a new 3-D supramolecular networks.

A new organic-inorganic hybrid molybdoarsenate constructed from a unit with two (As3O3) rings capping Anderson-type moieties, [Cu(en)2]2[(CuO6)Mo6O18(As3O3)2] (1) (en = ethylenediamine), has been hydrothermally synthesized and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction and thermogravimetric analysis. The compound crystallizes monoclinically, space group P21/c, with unit cell dimensions a = 9.1541(7), b = 19.6348(14), c = 14.5205(8) Å ,β = 129.082(3)◦,V = 364.20(4) Å3, Z = 2, T = 296(2) K. Complex 1 represents the first example of a 2D network of a POM polymer where [(CuO6)Mo6O18(As3O3)2]4− building blocks are connected by complex fragments {Cu(en)2}2+.

AbstractAn organic-inorganic hybrid compound based on {PMo12} layers, [Ag(pz)2]6[PMo12O40]2·3H2O 1 (pz = pyrazole), has been hydrothermally synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, TG, IR spectroscopy, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Two crystallographically independent [PMo12O40]3– clusters are arranged in an AB–AB mode to give two kinds of supramolecular layers. The layers are further connected in a special alternating mode by [Ag(pz)2]+ linkers to form complex 3-D supramolecular network. Compound 1 exhibits good electrocatalytic activity in the reduction of hydrogen peroxide and shows fluorescence in the solid state at room temperature.

AbstractA new polyoxometalate (POM)-based inorganic–organic hybrid compound, [Ag2(bib)3][H2SiW12O40] (1), has been hydrothermally synthesized and characterized by routine methods. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis reveals that inorganic supramolecular chains constructed of POM and [Ag2(bib)3] subunits are fused together via the Ag cations forming a 3D supramolecular structure. The structure possesses the moganite-type topology. The photocatalytic properties have been investigated through the oxidative decomposition of Rhodamine-B dye.

Hydro-thermal method was applied to synthesize nanoTiO2particles doped with metal and non-metallic elements. nanoTiO2particles were doped at different calcinations temperatures with S and Fe, Ce and La, respectively. X-ray diffraction results indicated that the minimum diameter of nanoTiO2doped with Ce and S was about 7.2nm, which is smaller than other type of double-element doped nanoTiO2. In addition, with the increase of calcinations temperature, the size of nanoTiO2particle increased and the diameter of nanoTiO2doped with Fe and S was the most obvious one. Rhodamine B was used to simulate the pollutant to analyze the photocatalytic property of doped nanoTiO2. The results indicated that the degradation rate of rhodamine B by nanoTiO2doped with La and S under the calcinations temperature of 450 °C reached66.22%.

A new decavanadate [Zn(en)2]3[V10O28] 5H2O (1), (en=ethylenediamine) has been hydrothermally synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetry, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. It is a structural feature of compound 1 that each [V10O28]6- cluster provides four bridging oxygen atoms of two pairs of opposite [VO6] octahedra to graft four [Zn(en)2]2+ complexes, observed for the first time for the [V10O28]6- cluster. The resulting array represents the second example of a chain based on these decavanadates linked by transition metal complexes
