The study aims at reviewing manufacturing schedules for hot-rolled and intercritically-annealed and thermomechanically processed medium-Mn sheet steels. Major differences between these two types of processing are indicated. They include initial microstructure (low-C martensite for hot-rolled products and deformed austenite for thermomechanically processed products), partitioning of alloying elements (depending on intercritical annealing or batch annealing conditions) and microstructure prior to cooling (ultrafine-grained lath mixture of ferrite and austenite for hot-rolled, intercritically annealed products and deformed austenite for directly cooled products). The comparison of typical microstructures (LM, SEM) and phase transformation behavior are presented. A role of Mn as an austenite stabilizer in a range used for medium-Mn steels is explained. Some results are provided for economic steels containing 3% and 5% Mn.

In my study reveal the situation of the poultry industry. In my research, I used the regularly adopted qualitative method, i.e. the interview. I conversed with the managers of the most important poultry factories, and asked them about the position of the Hungarian poultry sector, the possibility of improving its position, the changes in consumer behaviour, in marketing strategies, means and methods. The managers talked about the necessity of collaborating between factories. They agreed on the dominance of commercial chains. In their opinion, these prejudice their chances. They emphasized about the increasing role of processed products and the growing number of sell-stimulated marketing means. The consumer behaviour has changed in the last 10 years too, which helps the market of processed poultry products.

The paper studies the microstructure of two-phase ultrafine-grained titanium VT8M-1 alloy (Ti-5.7Al-3.8Mo-1.2Zr-1.3Sn), which was obtained by rotary swaging (RS). Parameters of the microstructure and the change of the phase elemental / chemical composition were investigated by scanning electron microscopy and transmission electronic microscopy. It was shown that the silicide particles like S2 - (Ti,Zr)6Si3 were precipitated in the process of rotary swaging. The influence of silicide precipitations on the characteristics of high temperature strength of the ultrafine-grained two-phase titanium VT8M-1 alloy was discussed in the paper. The alloy microstructure was analyzed after the creep-rupture tests in the operation temperature range 300-400oС.
