The study presents the extraction of collagen, a product of high value, from fleshings form hides. After testing several collagen extraction procedures we have proposed the simple and effective method to extract collagen from collagen-containing wastes of the leather industry. The unified method is based on the extraction of collagen using acetic acid in the presence of EDTA and included two repeated extraction stages. Qualitative analysis of the collagen using the disk-electrophoresis method showed a different ratio of monomers, dimers and other proteins.

Polyaniline (PANI) nanotubes were synthesized separately using amino acetic acid (AA), ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid (EDTA), oxalic acid (OA) as dopant and ammonium persulfate (APS) as oxidant by a self-assembly method. SEM, TEM,FTIR and X-ray diffraction (XRD) and applying the 4 probes method characterized the morphology, structure and property of the product. It was found that nanotubes morphology were synthesized when the [Aci/[A ratio is 1:2.The room template conductivity of the products were studied.

In this experiment, pyrophyllite as the main materials used the flame photometer to measure adsorption. Using the qualitative analysis of the samples of XRD with internal structure and found that pyrophyllite used in the experiment as a natural mineral, the presence with other minerals. Meanwhile, scanning electron micrographs (SEM) from the display showed that the effect of pyrophyllite adsorption for cations should be more significant. Therefore, this experiment focused on the time, Na+ concentration, on the pyrophyllite and different pyrophyllite concentrations (adsorbent dosage) effect on the adsorption, in addition to the adsorption dynamics. The results showed that pyrophyllite adsorption sodium in the best time of equilibrium was 20 minutes, the concentration of NaCl was 50 mg/L, pH = 7, temperature was 313 K, the concentration of pyrophyllite was 5 mg/L.

Abstract. High pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC) and radioimmunoassay were employed to characterize luteinizing hormone-releasing factor (LRF)-like material in the human placenta. Methanol extracts of the placenta were washed with acetic acid and chloroform, further purified on coarse octadecylsilane columns, fractionated on HPLC, and tested by radioimmunoassay. In HPLC, placental LRF had the same retention time as synthetic LRF, and such fractions gave an inhibition curve which was parallel to that of synthetic LRF in radioimmunoassav. It is concluded that human placental I.RF is similar or identical to LRF in the central nervous system.
