We studied the age and diameter structure on one section (259 ha) of a 63 000-ha privately owned forest in the Ozark Highlands of Missouri. The forest has been managed using a partial cutting strategy since 1954. Because a majority of the trees predate current management practices, the existing stand structure is a function of not only the current silvicultural system and the dynamics of this ecosystem but also the initial stand conditions. To determine age structure and evaluate the relationship of diameter and age, a random sample of 600 oaks [Formula: see text]4 cm DBH were collected from ten 0.4-ha plots. Based on the test of a binomial proportion, the oak populations on 7 of the 10 plots were deemed uneven aged, two were deemed two aged, and one was even aged. DBH accounted for 40 (red oaks) to 62% (white oaks) of the variation in tree age. Although the overall diameter frequency distribution of oaks formed a reverse-J shape, the age-frequency distribution approximated a normal (bell-shaped) distribution. We show how this apparent inconsistency between diameter and age distributions can be an artifact of a minimum sampling diameter. Such a truncation of the sampled population reduces the observed frequency of trees in the younger age-classes, which in turn results in a bell-shaped rather than a reverse-J-shaped age-frequency distribution. Thus, the lack of a reverse- J-shaped age distribution should not be interpreted as a failure to sustain regeneration in an uneven-aged stand.

Malaria is one of the health problems in Indonesia, especially West Sumatra. Determination of the description of Malaria disease in an area is needed to determine the spread and severity of the disease. This study aims to determine the frequency distribution according to age, sex and place of residence, description of the types of Plasmodium causes of Malaria and hematological features in Malaria patients at Siti Rahmah Padang Hospital in 2018. This type of research is a descriptive observational study with an approach or design cross section (cross sectional). The frequency distribution of Malaria sufferers in Siti Rahmah Padang Hospital in 2018 according to the highest age was in the age group 21-30 years as many as 28 cases (36.8%), the highest sex among men was 46 (60.5%) and the highest number of residences was found in Koto Tangah sub-district there were 31 cases (40.8%). The type of Plasmodium found in Malaria cases in Siti Rahmah Padang Hospital in 2018 was P. vivax (73 cases (96.05%)) and P. falciparum (3 cases (3.95%)). The results of laboratory tests on Hb, hematocrit, platelet and leukocyte levels in Malaria positive patients in Siti Rahmah Padang Hospital in 2018 were in the normal range.

As organizer of social health insurance, social security health agencies continue to work so that all health facilities in Indonesia to support the passage of the health insurance program optimally so that all participants BPJS health benefit services. The purpose of this study was to determine the benefits of health care received by patients in health centers health BPJS participants Lempake cities Samarinda 2015 consists of variable promotive, preventive care, and curative services. The research method used is descriptive quantitative survey approach. The total sample is 100 patients. Data analysis using frequency distribution. Resulth of analysis using frequency distribution of 100 respondents showed that patients benefit as much as 89 respondents promotive services, patients feel the benefits of preventive care as much as 66 respondents, and patients feel the benefits of curative services as much as 95 respondents.
