A non-numeric fuzzy aggregation approach is applied for the fusion of information obtained from farmers and experts for evaluation and selection of alternatives under multiple criteria. The technique has the ability to assign linguistic variable to fused information and find consensus of gathered opinions from a number of experts on crop processing for each processed crop. The technique is illustrated with a crop processing problem by adding value to the crop and increase income to entrepreneurs. The proposed technique has been successfully applied to the ranking of the processed crops based on the expert’s opinions, thus obtaining best preferences based on product, technology, marketing, and customer satisfaction. Five crops, namely beans, maize, rosella, sunflower and rice were ranked. Out of the five ranked crops, two processed crops (maize and sunflower) obtained high ranking. Dimensional analysis under linguistic Pythagorean fuzzy set (DA-LPFS) is a technique to handle qualitative (intangible) as well as the interactions between criteria, by combining dimensional analysis (DA) and Pythagorean fuzzy set (PFS) with linguistic variables. In this paper, a novel DA method is proposed for LPFSs based in a PFS extension, in order to consider the mutual relationship among criteria and handle qualitative (fuzzy) and quantitative (crisp) information usually involved in Multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) problems. Finally, DA-LPFS is applied to handle a case concerning the selection of CNC router to illustrate the applicability of the method.

This article takes advantage of advancements in two different fields in order to produce a novel decision-making framework. First, we contribute to the theory of aggregation operators, which are mappings that combine large amounts of data into more advantageous forms. They are extensively used in different settings from classical to fuzzy set theory alike. Secondly, we expand the literature on complex Pythagorean fuzzy model, which has an edge over other models due to its ability to handle uncertain data of periodic nature. We propose some aggregation operators for complex Pythagorean fuzzy numbers that depend on the Hamacher t-norm and t-conorm, namely, the complex Pythagorean fuzzy Hamacher weighted average operator, the complex Pythagorean fuzzy Hamacher ordered weighted average operator, and the complex Pythagorean fuzzy Hamacher hybrid average operator. We explore some properties of these operators inclusive of idempotency, monotonicity, and boundedness. Then, the operators are applied to multicriteria decision-making problems under the complex Pythagorean fuzzy environment. Furthermore, we present an algorithm along with a flow chart, and we demonstrate their applicability with the assistance of two numerical examples (selection of most favorable country for immigrants and selection of the best programming language). We investigate the adequacy of this algorithm by conducting a comparative study with the case of complex intuitionistic fuzzy aggregation operators.

In this paper some limitations of the conventional IF — THEN fuzzy rules due to the context dependency and rule structure are discussed. To overcome those limitations, the operational definition of a linguistic variable proposed by Zadeh is extended in such a way that a fuzzy value of a linguistic variable may take several meanings depending on the context. Applied to fuzzy controllers and models, this new operational definition leads to a new class of fuzzy controllers and models. To show its applicability this concept is applied to model the gear selection of two human drivers with different characteristics.

This study provides detailed information on customer satisfaction and decision making on choosing a full-service airline in Malaysia based on the number of complaints lodged to MAVCOM. To ensure the study was done with zero-errors, the information stated in this investigation were acquired from a targeted audience which has travelled for leisure purposes only to both domestic and international destinations. This study gives the airlines and edge to refine their customer service and to scrutinize their operations to avoid giving a chance to passenger to choose an alternate airline in Malaysia to suit their itinerary due to the failure in rectifying the inability in providing convenience towards their customers. The results found that service quality, price, reliability (timeliness) and customer relationship management has a significant and positive contribution towards passenger selection of a full-service carrier in Malaysia.

The aim of the study is the application of multi-criteria evaluation methods for ranking of candidates in e-voting. Due to the potential to enhance the electoral efficiency in e-voting multiple criteria, such as personality traits, activity and reputation in social media, opinion followers on election area and so on for the selection of qualified personnel can be considered. In this case, the number of criteria excesses in the decision-making stage directed us to the use of a multi-criteria decision making model (MCDM). This paper proposes MCDM for weighted ranking of candidates in e-voting. Criteria for the candidates’ ranking and selection are determined and each voter uses the linguistic scales for the ranking of each candidate. Candidates’ ranking is evaluated according to all criteria. In a numerical study, it is provided the candidates’ evaluation on the base of selected criteria and ranked according to the importance of criteria. To assess the importance of the criteria and to evaluate the suitability of the candidates for each of the criteria, the voters use linguistic variables. In practice, the proposed model can use different evaluation scales for the selection of candidates in e-voting. The proposed model allows selecting a candidate with the competencies based on the criteria set out in the e-voting process and making more effective decisions.

As a typical model of three-way decisions (3WD), decision-theoretic rough sets (DTRS), have gained attention from scholars in decision-making problems. The q-rung orthopair fuzzy 2-tuple linguistic variable (QROF2-TLV) is a mixture of two different notions, q-rung orthopair fuzzy sets (QROFS) and 2-tuple linguistic variables (2-TLV), and is an extensive and proficient technique for coping with awkward and complicated information in realistic decision-making. In this paper, we first propose a DTRS model for 3WD based on QROF2-TLV that gives a new method for evaluating loss functions (LF) of DTRS. We further present the q-rung orthopair fuzzy 2-tuple linguistic generalized Maclaurin symmetric mean (QROF2-TLGMSM) and weighted QROF2-TLGMSM operators and then provide the LFs of DTRS based on QROF2-TLV with the values aggregated by the QROF2-TLGMSM operator. Thus, we propose the q-rung orthopair fuzzy 2-tuple linguistic variable DTRS (QROF2-TLV-DTRS) model. Subsequently, a technique for concluding another DTRS model, which can give the related semantic translation of the decision consequences of every other option, is presented. The model is applied to expound the proposed technique in detail, and the impacts of various conditional probabilities on decision outcomes are discussed. A comparative analysis of the proposed approach is also conducted to examine the proficiency of the proposed method.

All colleges each year organize the selection of new admissions. Acceptance of prospective students in universities as education providers is done by selecting prospective students based on achievement in school and college entrance selection. To select the best student candidates based on predetermined criteria, then use Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) or commonly called decision support system. One method in MCDM is the Elimination Et Choix Traduisant la Reality (ELECTRE). The ELECTRE method is the best method of action selection. The ELECTRE method to obtain the best alternative by eliminating alternative that do not fit the criteria and can be applied to the decision SNMPTN invitation path.

The head of the environment is an extension of the head of the village head in assisting or providing services to the community both in the administration of administration in the village and to other problems. It is natural for a kepling to be appreciated for their performance during their special tenure in the kecamatan field area. Previously, the selection of a dipling in a sub-district was very inefficient and seemed unfair for this exemplary selection to use a system to produce an accurate value, and no intentional element. To overcome the process of selecting an exemplary kepling that experiences these obstacles by using an application called a Decision Support System. Decision Support System (SPK) is a system that can solve a problem, and this system is also assisted with several methods, namely the Rank Order Centroid (ROC) method that can assign weight values to each of the criteria based on their priority level. And to do the ranking or determine an exemplary set using the Additive Ratio Assessment (ARAS) method, this method provides decision making that takes decisions based on ranking or the highest value. Keywords: Head of Medan Area Subdistrict, SPK, Centroid Rank Order, Additive Ratio Assessment (ARAS).

The teacher is a major milestone in the world of education, the ability and achievement of students cannot be separated from the role of a teacher in teaching and guiding students. Based on the Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 14 of 2005 concerning Teachers and Lecturers, in Article 1 explained that teachers are professional educators with the main task of educating, teaching, guiding, directing, training, evaluating, and evaluating students in early childhood education through formal education, basic education and education medium. Whereas in Article 4 of the Act, it is explained that the position of teachers as professionals serves to enhance the dignity and role of teachers as learning agents to function to improve the quality of national education.Decision making is an election process, among various alternatives that aim to meet one or several targets. The decision-making system has 4 phases, namely intelligence, design, choice and implementation. These phases are the basis for decision making, which ends with a recommendation. The Preferences Selection Index (PSI) method is a rarely used decision support system method. This method is a method developed by stevanie and Bhatt (2010) to solve the Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM). With the right consideration, this method can be one of the tools to determine policies in decision-making systems, especially the selection of outstanding teachers. Determination of policies taken as a basis for decision making, must use criteria that can be defined clearly and objectively. Keywords: Decision Support System, PSI, Selection of Achieving Teachers
