Traffic Congestion has become a new version of plague for urbanized areas. Massive breakthroughs in technology, increasing in production of motorized cars, global reduction in prices for automobiles and the rapid population growth in Tbilisi, Georgia has led to the urgence of complete rearrangement of transportation system in the city. As a post-Soviet Union country, Georgia has had rudiments like “Marshrutkas” (privately owned minibuses) as a primary mode of transportation. Serious research and actions started in 2019 when sustainable urban mobility plan was introduced in Tbilisi; which favors public transport and pedestrians. In the course of this project one of the main avenues was converted into complete street model and hourly parking was introduced in the city centers. However, the problem regarding traffic jams still stands. This paper contributes to analyzing current situation in Tbilisi and suggesting suitable solutions. It will cover how reversible lanes, road pricing, signalized Intersections, reserved bus lanes and parking can be adapted to Tbilisi in order to reduce traffic jams.

The subject of research in this paper is the planning of urban mobility development in the narrow part of Sarajevo using a model based on the growth matrix. The hypothesis of this research is: Based on the analysis of supply and demand of the city traffic system, good practices in sustainable urban mobility and existing strategies and development plans, a model for managing the whole planning process of sustainable urban mobility of the city traffic system in Sarajevo by 2026 can be proposed. In accordance with the experience of Europe’s main urban mobility observatory (Eltis) and sustainable urban mobility plans (SUMPs), the key elements are defined. The next step, after defining the elements of urban mobility, is to carry out the quantification of elements for 2016. Thereafter, there is a concise explanation of the growth matrix and model of managing the urban mobility planning process is created. In the research results, direct and indirect growth rates were elaborated and analyzed, i.e. the individual and synergic effects of the model. Finally, the synthesis of the research results was presented.

Some small- and medium-sized Global South cities have unsustainable transport systems and no information to plan interventions in addition to having limited resources for data collection. This study proposes a method to understand Public Transport (PT) ridership in cities of these characteristics, based on previous studies and by analysing available indicators related to Manheim’s macro-variables, to identify their influence on the PT ridership. The method was applied in the city of Mexicali, Mexico. The results help to understand the causes of the low PT ridership and have implications for achieving sustainable urban mobility in the city. Findings reveal that mobility planning in Mexicali has been occurring without properly considering activity system related variables, so it is necessary to integrate urban and transport administration. Moreover, to increase PT demand in Mexicali, mobility strategies to discourage the use of private cars are necessary. The proposed method can be applied in other cities of the Global South with characteristics similar to the case study to understand the causes of PT ridership, so these can be considered by the agencies responsible for the planning of the city’s transportation system to promote a sustainable urban mobility.

This article focussed on Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans of Lithuania cities. These plans started to prepare in 2016 and now the need to assess their technological, economic, environmental and social aspects has emerged. To assess prepared Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans and their efficiency established different assessment systems that identify the very effective urban mobility measures and their impact to city development. These assessments do not indicate whether the measures are appropriately chosen according to the structure, characteristics, existing transport system of the city, the assessment shows the significance of the mobility measures to urban development.

Kata kunci : tingkat pelayanan jalan, permasalahan parkir, persepsi masyarakat, manajemen parkirAbstract: The market is very synonymous with the center of the crowd, because the market is a trading center located in the city center which is often referred to as the Central Bussiness District (CBD). Because the market is a center of crowds that invites many people to come to the area, causing traffic congestion, due to uncontrolled traffic flow around the market. One of the traffic jams is due to uncontrolled parking, making parking conditions around the area increasingly chaotic. Aceh Market is one of the largest and most developed trade centers in the city of Banda Aceh. The increasing development of the Aceh Market area has made community movement activities increasingly increasing, which has caused a decline in the level of road services in the area, which is caused by vehicles that run slowly, parked, pedestrians and street vendors. Aceh Market has its parking facilities. Having provided parking space on the new Pasar Aceh (off-street parking) building it turns out that there are still many people who prefer on-street parking, while the parking lot on the Aceh Market building has not been fully filled, so traffic jams still occur and the chaos of traffic caused by many road users who use the road as a parking lot. The objectives of this study are: (1) evaluating road performance burdened by vehicles crossing the road in the Aceh Market area, (2) evaluating optimal parking space requirements to serve Aceh Market visitors and (3) identifying problems arising from -street parking based on people's perception. So it is expected that good parking management can be planned in the future. Keywords: level of road service, parking problems, public perception, parking management

Sustainable urban mobility adds a new dimension to the circulation of goods and people in the city: sustainability. The increasing number of individual motor vehicles is an accurate urban mobility diagnostic, by highlighting strengths and weaknesses, to guide public policies aimed at improving the quality of urban life. In this paper, the Sustainable Urban Mobility Index has been discussed and then applied to evaluate the sustainable urban mobility in Campinas (SP, Brazil). For the period 2010-2014, the index shows a persistent insufficiency in the sustainable urban mobility of this city, even if there was a slight improvement in the period. This is due to the environmental dimension, considering the increasing fuel consumption. It is therefore necessary to look for possible solutions involving primarily collective transportation and non-motorized one, especially for short distance.
