This study was conducted to understand the overall perceptions of university students toward International Development Cooperation (IDC) and global citizenship education. The results, based on survey data, are as follows.First, university students agreed on the necessity of pursuing the goals of IDC and ODA projects. They reasoned that because South Koreans had benefited from foreign aid, they had a moral responsibility to contribute to the welfare of other developing countries. The students presented a high degree of agreement on the effectiveness of IDC projects in solving global problems, but they showed reluctance to the enlargement of the projects. The study revealed that the students were less aware of “2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)”Second, the study showed that undergraduates were willing to participate in IDC projects and global citizenship educations. From a macroscopic point of view, they showed an eagerness to help the poor in developing countries and be engaged in IDC projects due to their global concerns. From a microscopic view, they wanted to fulfill their sense of moral responsibility by participating in global citizenship education, which they believe might help them find a job and develop their career.Third, undergraduates recognized that universities lack proper education on IDC and need to be equipped with a more enforced educational programs. Some of the students expected to receive multifaceted and up-to-date information on IDC via liberal arts courses.

The latest progress towards achieving the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) shows that MDGs have made a profound difference in people's lives, which is the most important achievement of international development cooperation in past 15 years. Based on experience of formulation and implementation of MDGs, United Nations launched international processes of the Post-2015 Development Agenda including negotiations to define Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In this paper, comparing processes defining MDGs and SDGs, some new characteristics were identified and some key issues were analyzed. It seems difficult to balance interests of developed and developing countries and there are also great challenges to implement SDGs effectively in the future especially in developing countries. It required building a new global partnership for sustainable development to promote transformation.

This paper explores the neocolonial implications of a global citizenship education program that annually sends a group of Canadian university students to volunteer in Thailand. Postcolonial theory is utilized to deconstruct hegemonic notions of globalization, citizenship and global citizenship and explore the ways in which a group of university students challenges and perpetuates imperialist discourses and practices. While the scope of this study is limited to six interviews, the post-colonial theoretical framework provides insight into the ways that such educational programs ought to be modified in order to curtail their colonial trends. In light of these findings, I propose a shift in our 'Western' understanding and enactment of global citizenship and global citizenship educational programs towards inclusion of multiple epistemologies, an ethical concern for social justice and fostering equitable relationships, mutual exchange and reciprocity.

The phenomenon of 1950s-1970s showed that material, financial, and technical assistance had been provided between developing countries. South-south cooperation (KSS) is one of the modalities of international development cooperation between developing countries to healp each other through mutual learning, sharing of experiences, and transfer of knowledge mechanisms in order to achieve mutual prosperity. The demand-driven pattern distinguishes SSC from other collaborations so that SSC considered as more prospective approach. There is no one-size-fits-all approach but it based on the needs of partner countries. By the time, SSC is no longer limites to the Asia-Africa context and as a progressive collaboration. By using descriptive qualitative methods and international regimes as an analytical framweork, the aim of this research is to show position that should be taken by SSC members in the middle of shifting of international order in which solidarity and acting collectively must be maintained. In the midst of various challenges such as the me-first policy, bilateral and regional approaches, new southern policy, and no single domination approach, SSC still has to maintain the principle of solidarity

Indonesia as a developing country that embraces foreign policy that is free and active, participates in the development of other developing countries in South-South Cooperation. This participation is also stated in the mandate for the Preamble to the 1945 Constitution to enhance Indonesia's role in international development cooperation. Indonesia's contribution is an interesting thing to discuss because Indonesia as one of the developing countries contributes quite significantly to other countries. In this journal, it uses qualitative research methods which are sourced from existing literature and data. The results of this discussion can be seen that the assistance that Indonesia provides is more in the form of services and in the form of seminar programs. This discussion focuses on the assistance that Indonesia provided during the period of President Joko Widodo, especially in 2016-2018. The focus of the assistance that Indonesia provides is Asian countries, especially the South Pacific region. This is because there is an interest that Indonesia carries in carrying out SSC assistance for the region.
