Premature ovarian insufficiency (POI) is defined as a cessation of ovarian function before the age of 40 years. It is associated with hypoestrogenism and loss of residual follicles, both of which lead to menstrual abnormalities, pregnancy failures, and decreased health-related quality of life. The prevalence of POI is estimated at 1% in the general population. The risk of premature ovarian insufficiency (POI) before the age of 40 years is 1 %. The aetiopathology of premature ovarian insufficiency in the majority of cases is unknown and is termed as spontaneous or idiopathic POI. This is a case with signs and symptoms of POI which was developed after the administration of GnRH agonist drugs as a part of treatment of endometriosis. In this single case study, a female of 33 years having complaints of absence of periods since 6 months treated with Ayurveda treatment with pre and post evaluation. The symptoms of secondary amenorrhoea, hot flashes, vaginal dryness and mood swings were relieved after Ayurveda medications and procedures.

Introduction: Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is also known as polycystic ovarian disorder (POD). The disease is mainly metabolic (hyper androgenic) one. It usually affects women between the ages of 18 and 44. PCOS has no clear origin, although it seems to work at home. It is related to the effects of high levels of hormones in the body, such as high insulin levels. PCOS affects more than a million people in India each year. PCOS affects one in five Indian women (20%). Left untreated, the disease can lead to serious health problems. Conclusion: There is no permanent treatment for it since it is an irreversible syndrome/disease. The best way to improve health conditions is to change one's lifestyle and take drugs. One of the most effective methods is to make a healthy food/bad food chart and stick to it with exercise and medicine on a daily basis.

Background: Polycystic ovarian disease (PCOD) or polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is a common endocrine disorder which commonly affects women in their reproductive age, often leading to anovulatory infertility. There has been a resurgence of surgical intervention with the advent of ovarian drilling. This study was performed to assess the surgical management for patients with PCOS resistant to hormonal therapy. Methods: A thorough history and demographic details were taken from all the patients. A detailed clinical examination, along with transvaginal sonography was done. Laparoscopic ovarian drilling was performed on the patients under general anesthesia. Results: Most of the women were in the 3rd decade of their life and majority of the women had attained menarche at 13 years. The chief complaint of the patients was irregular periods experienced by 80%. 44.4% of the patents had normal BMI, while 31.5% were underweight. Most of the patients (6.7%) showed no evidence of hyperandrogenism, while 20% had hirsutism, 11% had acne. Conclusions: Polycystic ovarian syndrome is quite prevalent among the women of reproductive age. The effective treatment for PCOS which are resistant to hormonal therapy is laparoscopic drilling of the ovaries which results in ovarian function.
