Language is a humans tool for communicating. English is a language that is often used to communicate between countries, English language skills are needed because it is now an era of globalization. Then a way is needed to improve English skills by going through a learning terrace program. Learning terrace program is an English tutoring program for students. The purpose of this activity is to improve the English language skills that can be enjoyed by everyone, especially the lower economic community is needed place that can provide alternative problem solving, namely the existence of free English learning activities that are learning terrace program conducted with facilities that make use of the terrace of people's homes, but do not ignore the quality factors of the results and the process.

Abstract: The government has made a decision of COVID-19 pandemic through the Minister of Education and Culture Circular No. 4 dated 24 March 2010 concerning the Implementation of Education Policy in the Emergency Period of Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19), namely learning from home. The problems are English language skills and students’ motivation. This study aims to describe English language skills and student motivation during the COVID-19 pandemic. The benefit is facilitating lecturers in online learning based on appropriate applications with students are in the rural area. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method by conducting the Monkey Survey application to collect and analyse data, it created and applied on May 29, 2020 and closed on May 31, 2020. After May 31, 2020 respondents could not open and fill out the questionnaire because the closed Application. The sample of this study was 35 students who studied English online by using different applications. The category is the education category and this application was modified on June 2, 2020. The result of his research is that online English Learning research during the COVID-19 pandemic is that the use of the WhatsApp, Facebook, YouTube and Google Classroom applications improve writing, listening and speaking skills and have no effect on reading skill, because reading skills can be improved by using the Schoology application. While the Schoology application cannot be used because of internet network limitations and quotas. Other findings are that online English language learning during the COVID-19 pandemic cannot increase student motivation.

To face the Asian Economic Community, active mastery of English is very important so that people can compete with good workers from their own area or workers from other Asian countries. This study aims to find out (1) whether the problems faced by the students of the Faculty of Economics, Udayana University in learning English and (2) whether the English language needs needed by economic students at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University to design the correct syllabus and effective in teaching English. Analysis of English language needs is done by giving questionnaires to students for their answers, those questions concerning the field of English what they are very proficient (speaking, listening, reading and writing) and which areas of English they find difficult to learn, and choose what lessons they think are necessary that have not been provided in the current syllabus. The answers from these students will be analyzed according to the need analysis by Hutchinson and Waters (1994) and Dudley-Evans and St. John (1998). From this research, it is expected that students can improve their English language skills in economics majors and also can design a new syllabus that is more effective in accordance with the needs of students at the Faculty of Economics, Udayana University.   Key words: Needs analysis, english language, english for economic, ESP.

This study aims to train English language skills for Akparta students to be proficient in English. The research methods used include presentations, lectures, observations and discussions. The results showed that the level of English mastery of the Surakarta Akparta students had progressed in speaking English. Community service activities carried out at Akparta Surakarta are helpful for students to improve their English language competence so that students can become professional tourism workers

This study aims to increase courage children to speaking English using implementation of game in Dahanrejo village, Kebomas, Gresik. The author as tutors and teachers for children in Dahanrejo village in this research. The problems refer to in Dahanrejo village, many children are afraid to speak English because there are no motivation to increase knowledge related studying English, therefore they have lack vocabulary and also teachers can’t explore the other media to teaching English in the classroom. The results of the action research given by the authors are the application of the media can improve the English language skills especially speaking of students and be able to provide variations in indoor learning that are not only fixed on the Package Books and Students Worksheets (LKS). Not only that, but the authors also found that the media was able to change the mood of students who did teaching through the media and were more interested in English.
