The outcomes of hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS) were analyzed in 55 patients who were under the supervision of a physician – infectious within one year after the disease. This issue has been studied in more detail by the example of Hantaan virus infection in the Far East, the effects of Puumala infection aren’t well understood, vigilance among physicians concerning the formation of chronic kidney disease in patients is lacking. However, it is proved that the peculiarities of the clinical course of HFRS are caused by a specific serotype of the virus. It is revealed that the leading clinical manifestation in patients in early reconvalescence period of HFRS was astheno vegetative syndrome. Long-term prognosis of patients with HFRS, isn’t always favorable, it may be associated with prolonged disorders of the kidneys. Renal pathology includes lumbar – pain, eyelid swelling, dysuric phenomena, polyuria, nycturia, proteinuria, hematuria, cylindruria, reposotory. It is established that the disease is accompanied by a prolonged dysfunction of the nervous system, cardiovascular system, hepato-biliary system, this suggests the possibility of development of chronic pathology of different organs and the need for surveillance of HFRS patients, not only the infectious, but the nephrologist, cardiologist, neurologist.

The article presents data on long-term observations about the occurrence of infertility of cows on dairy farms of Primorye and Priamurya, which indicate the presence of errors in the selection of cows for insemination, which leads to unjustified losses from temporary infertility of healthy animals. The problem of selecting cows for insemination exists on dairy farms all over the world, and each farmer solves it based on his own experience, finances and traditions. Currently, a large number of methods are proposed to improve the accuracy of the definition of cows in "hunting", but as practice has shown, none of them gives 100% reliability. For 50 years of work on the biology of animal reproduction, the authors have tested many of them on dairy farms in the south of the Far East. Our experiments on large farms with free-range cattle loose housing in the Ussuriysk and Khorolsk districts of the Primorsky Territory and the Khabarovsk district of the Khabarovsk Territory confirmed the recommendations on a higher efficiency of three-time detection of cows in heat. At the "Blagodatnoye" farm in the Khabarovsk Territory, with a loose-box keeping of cows 50 cows per box, an experiment was conducted with round-the-clock observation of the animals behavior. Symptoms of sexual excitation, immobility reflex, severity of estrus were recorded continuously for 13 days. The room housed 384 cows of different ages and productivity, which came from the calving pen after calving.

The relevant problem of guaranteed supply of high-quality raw materials to a timber processing enterprise that does not have its own sources of raw materials is considered. A method for the formation of sustainable chains of supplying raw materials to a timber processing enterprise was proposed, taking into consideration uncertainties and risks associated with the purchase of raw materials on the mercantile exchange and the implementation of the circuit of delivery to a warehouse. A dynamic model, which is a problem of stochastic nonlinear programming, the objective function of which is the cost of purchasing raw materials, was developed. The model makes it possible to form a plan for purchasing raw materials on the timber section of the mercantile exchange on a given planning horizon, taking into consideration uncertainties when it comes to the number of daily offers, their volumes, and prices. The risk of cancellation of the concluded contract due to the loss of the quality of raw materials during delivery and non-fulfillment of delivery terms was also taken into consideration. To find a solution to the model, a two-stage circuit, in which the first stage involves a procurement plan that is close to optimal, was proposed. At the second stage, a plan that is closest to the basic one in terms of the volume of purchased raw materials and minimizing the total costs is chosen for each day of implementation of a random flow of applications. The numerical solution at the first stage is found using the heuristic algorithm that uses the branch and bound method and the genetic algorithm at certain steps. At the second stage, the multi-criteria problem of mathematical programming is solved numerically. An example of the formation by a timber processing enterprise in the Far East of a suboptimal procurement plan that ensures an increase in the efficiency and sustainability of economic activity in the long term is considered

There is limited long term service experience with the modern generation of large container carriers and hence there is great interest in improving our understanding of the performance of these vessels. In an effort to assess the actual structural service performance of a large container carrier, a comprehensive full-scale measurement system was developed to measure the wave environment, ship motions and structural response. The system was installed on an 8063 TEU container carrier built in 2006, and the first year measurement campaign has successfully been completed. This paper presents a summary of noteworthy observations during the first year’s voyage records which includes ship motion, wind and wave conditions, and hull girder strains and derived hull girder bending and torsional moments. The observed vibratory responses of the hull girder are also presented.

The construction of a new museum of astronomy is planned by the present author in Yecheon Prefecture (λ = 128°28’ E, (ϕ> = 36°39’ N), Korea, with the openning date set in October, 1999. The aims of the museum directed in three area: (1) to exhibit astronomical works available in Korea, China, Japan and other regions of the Far East; (2) to serve the publics with written material for the study of history of Oriental astronomy; and (3) to operate a 40-cm reflecting telescope for researches of both professionals and amateur astronomers. A long-term project of the reconstruction of King Sejong’s instruments, which were made in the 15th century in the Kyongbok Palace, Seoul, is also an important subject of this museum.
